Orange Tree Yogurt

The mango yogurt tasted like straight-​up fish. My friend got a full cup of it without sampling («how can you go wrong with mango?!») and promptly gagged on the first bite. We all tried it in turn, and agreed adamantly.
No, seriously. How can you go wrong with mango!!!
I heard this place closed down, and I’m glad, frankly. Their flavors either tasted disgusting to begin with, or the owners sold very stale yogurt against health regulations.
Very fishy.

I used to come to this place at least twice a week because it was the only legit frozen yogurt place around Milpitas.
Orange Tree have at least 12 flavors and my favorite one would have to be the green tea. I loved how it is self serve so you can have whatever you like… yeahhh! Their fruit toppings always look so fresh especially the mango, strawberry, and blackberry. I love how it only cost about 30 cents an ounce and you get a stamping card to received free frozen yogurt the next time you come back for more!

Came here to kill time and meet up with my old pals from school. I wanted to try Fantasia coz I heard the bubble tea was good, but the long line made me decided to just go next door, especially since I saw that it’s a Froyo place and it’s only 30cents per ounce.
I guess I’ve been spoiled by the great froyo places in LA, that this one just didn’t cut it out for me. Yes, they have variety of flavors and they’re not runny, pretty solid froyo, however, the service was very poor. The strawberry was running out and nobody checked on it until I requested and then I saw that they have Mango Mochi, unfortunately, unlike the regular mochi, this one was a little harder to bite, more like gummy bear mixed with tootsie roll, than what a mochi supposed to be. However, they have jackfruit as topping, which was pretty rare, but they had no MANGO fruit, what’s up with that?
On the way to the counter to pay, even their chocolate syrup was out, they didn’t know and didn’t even fill it up when I requested, so boo on this place, I vouched to never come back here, unless someone drag me!

Inside, bright colors and modern looking décor highlight the typical Asian froyo shop flavors like taro and lychee. The froyo’s a little icy but there’s also strawberry, original and chocolate flavors if you’re not feeling so azn-​y. Top your froyo with some of the the standard froyo shop toppings like lychees, mochis, cereals, syrups, and jellies, etc. aNd gEt reAdY tO StArT tyPIng LikE THis beCAusE I Am So AzN!!!

Y U M!!! :) I love the Fall flavors!!! I got my pumpkin on at Orange Tree before my family and I ate at Mayflower for dinner! ahaha Gotta get my probiotics on to stimulate my appeteite! hehe: P Pumpkin and Passion Fruit were the most unique flavors that day! Tasty, yummy, and good for you too! :D
And remember to always ask for a few sample cups before committing to your froyo flavors! You always want to make sure you’re getting the right stuff! :)

Everything is self service here so you don’t have to wait and get someone to help. I like the variety of froyo they offer. The lychee and peanut butter flavors are nice. The mochi toppings go really well with the sourness of the froyo.
My only complaint is their uncomfortable bar stools. Some of the chairs seem a bit unstable. Would be nice if they offer more seating.

I am glad that there is a frozen yogurt shop now in the Milpitas Square shopping area. There are many restaurants in the area and sometimes after a meal, my mouth would salivate for some frozen yogurt. There’s Bolansa and Quickly but it doesn’t hurt to have some frozen yogurt every now and then right?
Orange Tree is a self serve shop with flavors such as vanilla, plain tart, strawberry and several more. The plain tart and strawberry were my favorite topped with mochi, blueberries and strawberries. Very fresh toppings and I have to point out the very nice service here. The staff makes sure the frozen yogurt tastes fresh by emptying out the machines when the yogurt gets too stiff and replenishes the supply with a new batch. They are knowledgeable with what toppings should go with what and even told my friend not to mix so many yogurt flavors or it will taste bad. Great staff and good yogurt!

I came here with my brother for some frozen yogurt.
I talked to person working there, and I found out that
OrangeTree has been open for about 3 months only.
It cost 35 cents per ounce here.
They have a few cups with a waffle cone,
so you can fill froyo with it. I think this is a great
idea, but I would assume that other strangers have touched it before me.
There is about 10 flavors to choose from.
I noticed all the yogurt was pretty runny
when I was serving myself. I ende up getting more than I wanted, since the yogurt came out faster.
I decided to try Banana Strawberry, which was really good.
Other froyo places should have this flavor. =)
Overall, the froyo is too runny for my liking.
I tend to like my yogurt a bit hard, so it doesn’t melt fast.
They have a stamp card here. After purchasing 9 cups,
you’ll get the 10^th one free, but only 6 oz is free.

It looks nice inside. But the Frozen Yogurt is way too icey, watered-​down. If you like oriental food, and you just ate an oriental dinner, and want an oriental dessert, make the walk from whatever oriental eatery you went to closeby and stop by here for some «more ice than yogurt» FroYo.

They charge by the ounce, so stop putting all that heavy shiznit on it. Do yourself a favor and pretend you’re healthy for once. Put down the FroYo.

Yay another self-​serve fro-​yo place!
The friendly women handed us little cups for samples as soon as walked in.
Even though we had just had an enormous meal at The Loving Hut a few doors down I had to try it out.
I only filled my cup with the daintiest of dollops of chocolate, strawberry and
lemon. I put some teeny tiny spoonfuls of almonds, peanuts, mochi, strawberries and blueberries on top. And I added a microscopic «droplet» of chocolate sauce on top.
Okay, okay you caught me – I am exaggerating a little.
So my total was $ 2.25 – a real bargain.

so I originally was gonna go to the Quickly’s a few doors down. but then passed by here and got sucked in. I like how they have the little cups to let you sample all the flavors! I almost got full from just trying them all and was tempted to just bounce… bwahah but then I wanted the toppings so I made a cup. opted for the white chocolate macadamia and green tea flavors :)
p. s. I love how they make it appear so cheap. «35c/​ounce» — that’s like for 2 pieces of strawberry cubes hah. everyone seems to underestimate how much they’re getting and end up with a $ 10 bowl lol.

My name is Anna and I’m a froyo addict! ;) I just had Orange Tree two days ago but at the Newpark Mall location. I got the itch again today so I decided to stop at the Ranch 99 location.
Since they are franchises, there were some similarities to the Newpark one, but the Milpitas one is much better. They had more of a variety of flavors including my faves: Original Tart, Lychee, and my newest fave, White Chocolate Macadamia! Soo yummy! They have a little better selection on toppings and it’s only 35cents/​oz. vs. Newpark’s 39cents/​oz. It’ll now be my go-​to froyo spot when I’m in Milpitas.

Hopped in and out today while waiting for a colleague.
Facilities are clean, sales girl was welcoming and quick to offer me samples. No pressure to buy. Bonus!!! I only had time to try the original tart, creamy & had the right amount of stiffness.
My eye’s on: taro, blueberry & lychee.
Good, for a self serve joint. I’ll be back.

I’m a yogurt fanatic! It’s my new addiction O_​o. I’ve been here 15+ times and I’m still coming back! I love the KiWi Yogurt but too bad they don’t serve it all the time. I want Kiwi back! =D~

CON: I noticed the texture of the yogurt is getting worse (less viscous & more watery) as I visit more often. I like the texture of the yogurt at Red Mango more because it’s thicker and creamier.

Pro: Right next door to Maru Ichi so I can get a little sweet fix after satisfying my ramen fix
Con: Yogurt consistency was a bit icy on all flavors
Pro: Yogurt gal automatically hands us over a BUNCH of sample cups upon walking in the door
Con: The Root Beer Float flavor yogurt – Ewww!
Pro: TONS, TONS of toppings! Great ones like lychee jelly, mango jelly, and longan

Overall, not too bad – the plethora of toppings is what pushes them to a full three stars for me. I wouldn’t haul my cookies from downtown San Jose just to come here but I wouldn’t mind popping in for a yogurt fix if I’m already in the plaza.

I came here with my friend and it was a good experience. The first thing I got when I walked in was sample cups. They had 14 flavors: vanilla, chocolate, green tea, strawberry cheesecake, green apple, cookies and cream, root beer float, mango, pineapple, taro, lychee, strawberry, original tart, and blue berry.
I tried original tart, root beer float, cookies and cream, and strawberry cheesecake. They were all good and not watery or anything. After I took a long time to decide which ones to put in my cup, I finally decided on original tart and cookies and cream. There were 18 toppings to choose from and a few more after that. I, of course, had to put in strawberries and gummy bears.
It was 35 cents per ounce which seems to be pretty much standard in terms of other yogurt places. The seating here was very limited and they only had 1 tv on the wall which was playing random movies. First, it was Police Academy then Lord of the Rings then Armageddon. Haha!

When it comes down to the limited selection of fro-​yo places in this asian plaza area, this place is at least a little better than Quickly’s (very limited toppings).
The friendly employee let me sample all the flavors to my liking. Most of the tart flavors just tasted like the original tart with a hint of whatever fruit it was suppose to be. The fro-​yo consistency was too icy, I’d prefer it to be more creamier and smoother. Pumpkin tasted like pumpkin pie, not bad. The boysenberry (non-​tart) was okay. I ended up with boysenberry and a little of tart and blueberry with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Lots of fresh fruit, including jellies and jack fruit. Not too many dried cereals to choose from (I only saw Fruit Loops. The day I wanted to try Fruity Pebbles in my fro-​yo, they didn’t have it here!) and the M&Ms looked a little discolored.
P. S. For this past Halloween weekend, they had a bowl of candy out near the cash register. There was strawberry water too! Don’t forget to ask for a stamp card. If only their operating hours were extended, I would def come here rather than Quickly’s for a LATE drunken night fro-​yo fix after a lovely night out downtown! :)

Really awesome! I found my new favorite frozen yogurt place in Milpitas — it tops Frozos for me! It has a huge variety of yogurt flavors — unlike Frozos. Also, the majority of the yogurts are fat free!
The decoration inside is cute and modern, very comfortable.

Came in the day before grand opening. Twas about time they opened a froyo place in this plaza. 35cents/​oz
They have about 14 self-​serve machines and plenty of toppings to choose from. I had the regular tart and pineapple with mochi. The tart was to my preference, not too tart. The pineapple was good, felt as if I was eating a pineapple. Their yogurt reminds me of stiff ice cream. Mochi– nice and chewy.
Con: they only have one big size cup, which is bigger than my hand. Everytime I go into any place with that, I feel obligated to fill the whole cup.
Overall pretty neat place. I’ll have to go back n try other flavors.
