Their service is half hearted. I had them come to do a deep clean with the hopes of continuing with a maintenance clean. I was completely unimpressed with their «deep clean.» They only half dusted obvious areas. They did not clean under beds. The bathroom was still dirty. They would not clean under areas even if there was easy access. It was not a deep clean and ended up being a mediocre maintenance cleaning at best.
I contacted Lindsay and Rachel who apologized but seemed to minimize the lack of cleaning done. It came across as my issue.
In addition I had to deal with a left behind sweater which amounted to more coordination on my part.
In the end I could have cleaned my house better in the time spent dealing with the poor job done and could have had $ 200 more in my bank account. Instead I sit with a partially cleaned house and am out $ 200.
Their service is not worth the money.

I’ve been using Ecomaids for years now but am moving away and will soon have to give up the service. They have always been prompt and dependable and on the very few occasions where something might have been overlooked (which is human error and can happen from time to time), they have always made it right with me. When I have asked for extra service, they have provided, when I asked to have less, they will accommodate that as well. The communication is wonderful, Lindsay has always gotten back to me within a business day, and the crew is professional and efficient. I have dogs in my household, and they always are happy to see the crew, as they arrive with treats and affection for my dogs. I recommend EcoMaids to anyone who is looking for a fairly priced and dependable service.

TERRIBLE! have used them a few times to see how they would do. First time was great. They had a crew of 3 people in here and made this place sparkle. After that time it has been down hill. I have had to complain and have them come back as they do such a half assed job. So you don’t think I an over exaggerating, they would not move the drag gin on the floor curtains to mop or vac. They do not move your items to dust, they dust around them and haphazardly at best. The last straw for me… finding food blobs still on my floor literally after they left that should of been mopped up and something stuck to my dining table that should of been wiped up when cleaning. These are BASIC things that any reputable company or its employees would address.
If you want a positive note about them. they are prompt and apologetic when it comes to problems. Apologies don’t get my house clean properly though.

I judge a business not only on their product, but on their customer service as well. Coming from a hospitality background, I very much understand the value of going the extra mile. I have always believed that the best opportunity to judge a company is when a mistake is made and how it is resolved.
Suffice it to say, I had a «hiccup» in my cleaning service. Management could have been defensive or evasive but Lindsay Dellasega, the owner, was apologetic, responsive, and rectified it 100%. She clearly takes pride in her business and stands behind the quality of their work. If you have any issue, I have every confidence that she will take care of it.
I would highly recommend EcoMaids and will definitely use them in the future.

I recently hired EcoMaids to perform a move-​in cleaning of my new townhouse. While there were several things cleaned well, my overall impression of their service was disappointing. Three women arrived at my townhouse and when I asked how long it would take, they said they were allotted 4 hours but hoping to finish in 2. I’m all for speedy service if things are done correctly, but since many things were overlooked, I feel like I paid a lot of money for poorly completed work. Fans were not dusted, cobwebs were left in the closets, pendant lights in the kitchen and basement were covered in dust, the stove top was not lifted and cleaned beneath. Since my townhouse was completely empty, I would have expected it to be easy for every surface to be thoroughly cleaned. I wished I hadn’t forked over the money, it was definitely not worth it. I called to let them know about my impressions and their only consolation was that they appreciated the feedback and would put a credit on my account towards another service… thanks, but there’s no way I’m paying to have them «clean» again.

EcoMaids has been cleaning my house on the regular for about 6 months. Best money I spend every month!
Generally speaking, they’re prompt and thorough, and returning home to a clean house makes for an awesome Friday. They’re also kind to my dog, who is home when they are there. I especially appreciate that they always send at least one of the same people, which makes things easier on the pup.
The few times I’ve needed to email with management about things (schedule changes, forgotten items), I’ve found them to be responsive and professional.

Not impressed. I signed up for a 4-​pack Special which included an initial visit and 3 regular service visits. I am a neat-​freak and keep a pretty tidy house and we have modern style of décor so not a lot of nick-​nacks around.
The first cleaning was great & pretty detailed so I thought it was a great decision to have maids come clean since I have my hands full with a newborn, and would like to spend free time with my hubby. After the first visit, the service fizzled out. When you make an appointment, I guess it means that they will be there that day, not the time you arrange it. They call to confirm the appointment the day before and give you a window of time that they’ll be arriving, which was very different from the times I had scheduled. This was inconvenient for my baby’s nap times.
It seems like they must only wipe things down and not actually clean, because sink drains and showers grew mildew just a few days (more than once!) after the «cleanings» and toilets were skipped as was my bathroom floor. The cleaning product they used left a hazy film on my bamboo hardwood floors so we had them use water and vinegar with our mop. The vacuum & dusting jobs were not thorough either. Two ladies (who were very nice by the way) would regularly come and spend about 1 ½ hours or less to «clean» for $ 110/​regular visit.
By the way, they tried to charge me extra for additional rooms we added, after the fact until I called with detailed information telling them they already had!
Big disappointment. I’m back to cleaning the house with my hubby with our free time

We hired Eco Maids several times mostly around the holidays and they have always done a great job! Trustworthy, professional and thorough. I love this company’s high moral standards in regards to their volunteer work that they do for women who are going through chemotherapy. I will only hire this company to clean my home.

Okay, not great. Proprietor was frustrated when I paid that I asked for the 10% discount I had been promised via an email exchange, and I had to dig through email and forward it to prove it had been promised to me. I had the initial, deep house cleaning. The first team missed a lot of things– baseboards, dusting furniture, vacuuming corners and under tables, spots on the floor… etc. I let the owner know that it wasn’t a great job and she sent a team back to finish up, but they were on a tight time table and could only do some of the missed jobs. The second team went out of their way to tell me they couldn’t believe how much the first team hadn’t done, and asked which type of service I had. When I told them I had the inital deep clean, they were shocked and apologized! They also apologized for not being able to stay and «finish». It felt like a very slap-​dash, half-​done job. I doubt I would use them again.

I have been using EcoMaids for over a year now and have been very satisfied with their service. Their owner, Lindsay Dellasega is easy to communicate with and always responsive. The team always shows up in a timely manner and does a good job. I am so grateful to be able to use this service and have recommended it to several friends who are also happy with the service.

EcoMaids showed up when they said they would, did a fine job cleaning my little house, and were reasonably-​priced. I wasn’t blown away, but would definitely consider hiring them again if I needed cleaners again.

Horrible horrible horrible! I should have listened to my gut with all the mixed reviews. All the recent reviews were telling me don’t do it! But I took a gamble and lost.
I hired EcoMaids for a move-​in cleaning of my new apartment. It’s a 550 sq ft apartment that was basically clean! Just a little dusty and needed a scrub just in case.
Upon arriving at my apartment I had to speak with my landlord for about 5 minutes regarding a smoke detector. While I was speaking with my landlord, Lindsey left without so much as a goodbye or is there anything you’d like to discuss?
The way we left it on the phone was that I was given an estimate of $ 165 for my apartment and that we would go through additional services together.
At that price I expected to be wowed — as in I could definitely eat off the floor wow. Instead I was extremely upset. First of all it’s an extra fee to clean the oven/​fridge for a move-​in??? Uh what? Do you know what move-​in means? That was already ridiculous.
It took Lindsey’s crew about 4 hours to clean my apartment. I was there a majority of the time and basically all they did was have one person scrub the baseboards and another woman cleaned the bathroom. I get that you want to be thorough but hello, time management!
I specifically asked that the walls were wiped down/​dusted and were not. When I arrived after stepping out briefly for a cup of coffee, Lindsey was there doing what she called «quality control.» She had a checklist of items to be cleaned that the staff did not use once. She had checked off several things as cleaned that I knew for a fact that they were not cleaned.
The stove had a bit of build-​up from the last tenant but was nothing wild. I asked why her staff hadn’t cleaned that considering I was paying an extra charge for the oven/​stove to be cleaned. She said that they had worked on it but couldn’t get the grease off. I countered that with the fact that I was able to easily wipe the grease off with a Lysol wipe… come on! Upon asking they came back in and scrubbed it with a toothbrush and it was completely clean in less than 5 minutes.
I have attached a few pictures, completely gross. I was told the window sills were cleaned… they were not. Yes the outside ledge of the window was cleaned but that’s not a sill.
As a customer I told her I was extremely dissatisfied and she agreed to take $ 45 bucks off? That’s it?! Basically all I had done was someone scrub my tub and baseboards for $ 120 and nothing else was cleaned. Horrible experience! never ever again.

I have had a regular maid service for quite some time now, but they don’t use eco-​friendly products. With pets and a baby on the way, we decided to try EcoMaids.
First visit was pretty good. My only complaint was my old service has 3 people come and they are in and out of our house in just a little over an hour. EcoMaids sends 2 people, which is bound to be slower, but they were here for about 2 ¼ hrs. I work from home the day they come and it’s just more time I’m being distracted.
Second visit was good — or so I thought. Just after they left, I walked into the kitchen and looked at the floor and clearly they had not cleaned the floor. The give away was the sprinkling of coffee grounds under the coffee maker, so they hadn’t even swept! I called right away and spoke to Lindsay. I was disappointed that instead of immediately apologizing and offering to make it right, she was defensive and I HAD TO suggest a discount for the next visit. She said she would take some $$ off and I was fine with that. Over the next few days I noticed more and more their general lack of detail. Things that had been cleaned, but not well. Disappointing, but decided I’d give them one more try.
I need to change the scheduling of the third visit and when I called, they told me I was scheduled for a Thurs., not a Fri. like I had requested. I reiterated to Lindsay that I had requested Fri. visits, so I’m not sure why I was on the schedule for a Thurs. anyway. She said, «It was in the email I sent you…» I looked again at the long email she sent, which admittedly I had glanced over and not noticed it said Thurs. and not Fri. Regardless, that is not what I requested. When I pointed that out, she was very defensive and complained about my home being very far away from the others they service and they get stuck in traffic on Fridays. Oh… So did they purposely do a bait and switch? My home is WELL WITHIN their advertised service area and I’m only 8 miles from downtown, right off of 26, so it’s not like I live in the middle of nowhere.
At that point I was pissed. For them to treat a customer as if you are INCONVENIENCING THEM?! I said, «Well it sounds like our schedules are just not going to mesh. I would like to cancel my service.» She did nothing to get me to stay with them and we hung up. She called back shortly thereafter saying she had a time slot available for me — oh thanks — ON THURSDAYS. WTH? I didn’t bother calling her back.
So beware… Mediocre cleaning at best and the WORST customer service ever! Good luck keeping customers with that attitude, Lindsay!

I had them come for the first time yesterday, and everyone was very friendly and professional. They came in with their arsenal of tools, and my beat up Kenmore vacuum cleaner was relieved for the break. They went to town on my place.
I came home to a very clean apartment. I am a notorious neat freak (some people may describe me as anal, but you know, people still like me anyhow). That aside, the place was spic and span, and it fell like a ton of weight had been lifted off my shoulders in that I didn’t have to do it all myself.
Another plus, I am going to have them come back on a regular basis. I felt completely comfortable having them in my home.
Third plus, it didn’t even look like I owned a golden retriever when I came home. There wasn’t a blonde dog hair in sight. And, they use products that are safe for my dog.
Give them a try!

Okay. I had company coming (twice) and I was slammed with school (twice) and I had to choose between paying someone to clean the apartment or having a cleaning party with my guests (twice). We called EcoMaids both times and they were great. The people who came out to the apartment were really friendly and very efficient with their time. They cleaned the whole place in about two hours and a half. They use green cleaning products to make everything sparkle. And, they are really careful not to let our cats escape to start a life of their own out on the mean streets of Southeast Portland. I would highly recommend them to anyone who. like me, lets life get away from them and realizes company will be there in two days and the house looks less-​than-​welcoming.

They were very accommodating of my scheduling needs, and friendly. I was impressed with their work and felt very comfortable having them in my home. It’s also great to know that my house isn’t filled with chemical residue!

I have found Eco Maids to be one of the most professional and thorough services/​maids who have cleaned my home to date. My house always smells so good when they are here and everything, including all of my stainless steel appliances, sparkle when they are done! I especially appreciate having the same people come to my house each time and getting a friendly reminder from Lindsay the day before. I can’t recommend Lindsay and her team highly enough!
