Bought expensive carpet from them years ago and it stretched out of shape and puckered. On 3 occasions they re stretched it and it continued to pucker. They refused to replace and damaged my limestone entry re stretching. Hollow promises to get your money shoddy installation. Beware

We own a commercial building and I was looking to have one of our offices re-​carpeted pretty quickly (6 days). We were sure to let the sales rep know about our time crunch. I am giving two stars only because the sales rep was friendly in the beginning but that was about it. I went in looking for carpet on Thursday and had something picked out right away. We asked if the carpet was readily available and it was in stock so next we had the space measured. It took 24 hours before someone was available to come out to measure. It took almost another 24 hours to get the quote. Then it took until Monday afternoon to really get anything going and that was only after multiple calls and emails. I’m sorry, but if you have a customer ready to spend their money at your establishment I would think they would be more eager. The lack of communication was really unimpressive. I guess these are normal turn around times for this company, so just keep that in mind if you are on a time crunch. We sent our business elsewhere.

Super disappointed that area rug I had custom made did not match the 3×3 color swatch Direct Carpet supplied me. I was so upset and sure it was the wrong color but they compared it to the 3×3 color swatch and said ‘it was a different dye lot’
So now I’m stuck with a carpet that doesn’t match what I picked out because it’s a different dye lot!!! I didn’t pay for a different dye lot, I paid for the color on the sample.
And that was that, no follow up, no concerns for my satisfaction, they ALL knew I was unhappy.
Does that sound like good quality customer service.
Plus the amount of time I had to spend tracking and following up with the order was massive.
I won’t be doing business there again!

To make this short, as it will not cover all problems we had– they demoed the tile and left huge piles of it on the front patio (along with the toilet), and filled the secondary garage with it, even covering the brand new baseboard that was set to be installed. It was left there for a few days over a weekend, rather than hauled off daily like it should have been.
And get this, they installed the carpet throughout the condo BEFORE installing the new tile, and did not even protect it. After the tile went in, you could run your foot over the brand new carpet and a cloud of dust would fill the air.
They offered to have the carpet cleaned, but basically scoffed at all of our complaints. Joe nor Gary gave a rat’s a** about the poor workmanship that went on there. And to make matters worse, beer went missing from the fridge in the garage, and rather than saying, «oh, I apologize, we will look into it,» they flat out denied it and basically called us liars.

I have been involved in residential real estate for 25+ years. I have dealt with my share of night mare contractors and disasters. I am writing this email for the homeowner who does not have the experience I have so I can recommend working with Gary and Joe at Direct Carpet Sales. The Team at DCS are helpful, trustworthy and provide high quality products and service at reasonable prices. As a real estate professional you tend to be loyal to those who you can trust. Since moving to CA 12 years ago I have only worked with Gary and his Team. Its worth a 5 minute call or stopping by to see for yourself. Good luck!

Let me be fair, I am giving one star because of customer service. I have not done business with them. I am buying a new house and will be replacing hardwood and carpet, which is estimated at tens of thousands of $ for the job. The first day I went, I got a man named Corey helping… and boy did he not know anything about carpets. any question I asked him, he asked another man. So?, maybe he was new, but confidence down to the floor. The next day came back with wife, well before closing hours, we were asked to leave and come back. Well, as they say, the rest is history. If I owned the business, customer service would be my utmost priority, especially since there is strong competition across the street.

We needed carpet for a home we purchased. They helped us find exactly what we needed. Having never bought carpet we were overwhelmed with the many choices. The young woman I worked with was patient in explaining the features and benefits of my choices. She sent me choices via email and followed up with me regarding installation. During a stressful home buying time their customer service was really appreciated. I very highly recommend this company for a seamless purchase. You will be happy you bought floor coverings there!

Fantastic service… I am usually not one to take the time to write a review– but I saw one negative review, and wanted to counter with my experience that was very positive… They really took their time out to take exceptional care of me, and are doing a last minute install on a house I am buying. To sum it up– great prices, but even better customer service– which is sooo rare these days. I would highly recommend trying them out (they were much less expensive than the big home improvement stores, and have a much quicker availability of their carpets)

I walk into the store, and it’s a ghost town: not a soul is present. I walk around to the back in the warehouse and various offices within the store, and you can hear a pin drop. Thinking that this is an abandoned property, as I’m about to leave, a woman approaches me, carefully, as though she’s astonished that someone has actually attempted to patron her store. She glares at me as I walk toward to her — I’m not welcomed or greeted.
Finally, as the woman comprehends that she has a store that sells carpet, we discuss my needs. I have to guide the conversation. She proceeds to tell me that they only do work during my work hours. She struggles to understand that I have to work to pay for the carpet, and that I’d need someone to install the carpet when I’m at home, not at work. She tells me that they have no one available to perform the work at my desired times. She then says that they do, in fact, have evening hours for the installation but not the measurement.
I say fine: have someone come over on my day off to measure, so long as the installation can be done during the weekdays and after I get out of work. Long story short, they come to measure it, I leave a deposit, and then they call me later to say that they don’t have anyone to install it during the evenings. They refund my deposit.
Colossal waste of time.

I came to the showroom over a week ago and was glad to see there is a large selection of carpet to choose from. We settled on a few samples and was able to set up an appointment the next business day. Joe came out to measure and gave us a fair deal. Our carpet was ordered and installed this past Wednesday so everything went fairly quickly and smoothly. The installers showed up on time and finished the same day. The only con I have to mention is that the upgraded 3⁄8 inch, 10 lb. pad felt a bit firm for me underneath the carpet we chose.

What a great experience. Everything in life should be this easy. We went to the store to check out carpeting for a house we were selling in MISSION VIEJO. Made appointment for them to come to the house to measure. Chose the carpet we wanted, gave them a house key, and said to come the following Wednesday or Thursday to lay the carpet. We live in Downey and we didn’t get to check out the new carpeting until Saturday. Very nice job, and everything was clean and vacuumed. Now I am having second thoughts about selling… WOW…new flooring does make a difference.

We looked and shopped around South Orange County to replace carpeting in our home. I met Mike Spencer at his store and he was very professional and knew his products. We were able to get a high quality carpet; upgraded padding and installation at a very reasonable price! Installation was very well done and they were able to move or work around the heavier furniture. We would highly reccomend Direct Carpet Sales if you are in the market for flooring.

Set up an appointment in store and the sales agent (Mike) met me at my condo the next day with lots of flooring options. They helped me explore different options and when I got the estimate I was pleased with the fact that it was a final price (no additional charges, taxes, etc.). Made it very clear what I’d be paying.
Once the laminate and carpet came in, the service of the installers was prompt, timely, thorough, and professional. Same with both the team of laminate installers and the carpet installers. The carpet installers even took the time to remove my front door (and re-​install it) when I couldn’t get my new couch through the passage-​way. They did this as if it was part of their job, which it wasn’t.

Had a great experience with them, once 10 years ago, once just recently. The price was fair, the work was quick and good. The carpet feels great. We had a flood a week after it was installed and they came out and replaced the pad and re-​tacked the carpet for us, just cause they are nice guys.
