Holiday Inn Express & Suites Moab

Well maintained and thoroughly comfortable… breakfast is decent and the staff is helpful too… would recommend this place highly

The staff at the front desk was very helpful. They were able to reccomend great trails through Arches National Park. They also directed us towards the Petroglyphs on the lower Colorado River Scenic Byway. We stayed in the Suite that had a king size bed, with a refrigerator and microwave & direct TV. The room was very clean. This location is perfect to stay at if your going to Arches National Park, literally a couple of minutes away. Thanks for the nice visit guys! Also an extra thank you to the young lady at the front desk in the mornings, very friendly, knowledgable and helpful.

This was my second stay at the Holiday Inn Express and I wont be returning. This visit was a 2 day normal weekend visit to MOAB. The room was ready on our arrival and very clean. Check in was seamless and friendly.
Now for the bad news the city of MOAB had a city wide power outage the morning we woke up (not the hotels fault), the power outage had caused the sprinklers to turn on and leak inside our room. again not the hotels fault) The hotel called me and left me a VM that we would need to switch rooms upon our return from our hike that day. We arrived back at the hotel and went to the front desk to get direction on what we needed to do. The front desk employee said «here are your new keys, head up and grab your items and move to your new room». He never offered to help us move. So we went up to our room and found two CONTRACTORS alone in our room with all of our belongings. Bedding thrown over all the room, towels everywhere, mattresses flipped over and ladders in the entryway. So not only did the hotel leave CONTRACTORS alone with all of our belongings we had to sift through all of the chaos to find our things. (this WAS the hotels fault)
To our surprise we were offered no help, no apology, and nothing taken off our bill. I sent a letter to corporate and of course received a scripted response but no resolution. I wont be staying here again, I found that the best western down the road appreciates my business and will be getting it from now on. I would think twice before staying here.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my son during our off-​road trip to Arches and Canyonlands.
The hotel is situated between downtown Moab and Arches Nat’l Park making it very convenient in my opinion. The view is also spectacular. The hotel is nice and our room was comfortable. However, on first impressions the room looks rather clean and as if the room attendant did a fantastic job. But upon further inspection I would notice crumbs left on the floor and garbage around the garbage can. This is after the room was cleaned. This left me wondering did the room attendant change the sheets and vacuum the floor?
The deal breaker was coming back from a long day of off-​roading tired, dusty, and needing to take a dump really bad only to find the toilet filled with toilet paper and clogged; the toilet was clean and empty when we left the room. What the hell did they do in the room while we were gone?

Worst HIE ever — this coming from a frequent priority club member! Save your money, do not go here. Way over priced & horrible service! Housekeeping barges in with their own key without warning /​while you’re sleeping — before checkout time. Guest’s requests for clean sheets — towels only honored at staff’s discretion. Weird stains on towels. Constant banging of the doors by housekeeping from wee early morning hours till 12pm (they use a metal door stopper & constantly let bathroom doors slam). Workout room does not accommodate tall people, business area is not at all private, parking is unsafe — not well lit. Front management lies about their staff, refuses to hear complaints, will follow you out the door to harass you with threats of police when you prove them wrong. This was the worst experience we’ve ever had at any hotel. Management needs to train their staff how to be respectful of customers concerns. Utah is a beautiful state, don’t let this place ruin your vacation!

Very close to Arches park, helpful staff, good gym, everything you expect from Holiday Inn Express

This hotel was great. They had free breakfast in the morning and daily afternoon freshly made cookies. The rooms had comfortable beds, windows that actually open, temperature control with a quiet unit and picturesque view. At night if you get up to go to the restroom there’s a night light that is motion activated which was awesome. There’s a bike storage room to store your dirty bikes and a bike wash! The tv’s were HD and the staff was always helpful and kind! I did not want to leave.

This is the second time that I have stayed at a Holiday INN since the brand revamp and it is very nice. The gym is great, room is very clean. I was also pleased that this hotel’s tv service did offer Fox Sports, so I was able to watch supercross. This location had a large parking lot, for my truck and trailer. The only complaint I have, and its really a matter of personal comfort is that the bed is too firm to sleep for long periods. I stayed at a Holiday Inn a few days ago and had the same experience, and I had wondered if it is a locational item for the whole chain, now I realize it must be the chain.

Great place to stay! Convenient location, comfort and clean rooms. It has a fridge and a nice pool even though it was too cool for us to use it! I would recommend it.

The Holiday Inn Express in Moab was recently remodeled and it’s very nice throughout the hotel.
We had a large, quiet room on the third floor. Our room featured a comfortable king bed, 42 inch HD television, small office desk, sofa with hideaway bed, small kitchen area with fridge, microwave and sink. The kitchen even had disposable plates, plastic cutlery for meals. It was a great room for a couple and would have been terrific for a small family.
The hotel had an amazing pool area with a large swimming pool, hot tub, and fire pit. The swimming pool featured a large arch modeled after Delicate Arch in nearby Arches National Park, with a waterfall coming down from it and flames burning from the top at night. It was one of the coolest pools I’ve ever seen.
We were very happy with our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Moab. Our room was great. The staff was great. Would recommend.

Booked through expedia thought I was getting a room at this holiday inn but was really another one. The staff and manager were so wonderful and helpful here trying to help my family find another hotel. There weren’t any available but just when about to leave a room came up and she even discounted it for us. Wonderful place!!! Definitely would stay here again!!!

Im from california LA drive for 14hrs first time on utah moab and im a cyclist. If you planning to reserved a place don t go here. My story. Mr. ronnie on a front desk clerk on the early night of july 07 2014. This asshole not polite and looks mad when me and my kids family arrived at 2:59am restless and tired driving. This guy told me i can t bring my bike on the room and i ask him nicely wer e can i put my bike. And he said i don t give a fuck if you don t wanna obey the policy no bike get out of here and leave. Me and my wife and 4kids restless got stunned on what he said to us. I ask him nicely politely wer e i can put my bike ibis. First time in utah drive far a way and this is the 1^st impression we get. Hopefully this will go on management head supervisor. Discipline your this worker.

Considering Moab suffers from a lack of really nice hotels this place is a welcome addition. Great free breakfast. Kid friendly. Nice pool, a bit too small. Service was excellent and room was big and clean. Two thumbs up!

I have no complaints about this place. It is your standard Holiday Inn Express Hotel. The rooms look clean, and the beds felt comfy.
They have free continental breakfast. It’s mostly carbs, like all continental breakfasts. But at least they have hard boiled eggs, some fruits, and rubbery sausages.
They also provide free WiFi and DirectTV for their TV. They also have a heated pool for cold days.
What sucks is that few things are within walking distance. Walking to the nearest restaurant (Buck’s Grill House) feels dangerous since there aren’t any sidewalks. You need a car to do stuff around here.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Electricity and WiFi with hot showers were a nice change to our camping.

Convenient, clean, comfortable and friendly.
We were visiting Arches so this is very close. The room had good temperature control, and comfortable king bed. We would have preferred separate vanity from bathroom but it had good space.
The breakfast included eggs, meat, fruit, pastry and newspaper.
The wifi from the room was fast, able to watch netflix from laptop.
Room was quiet and staff friendly. We’ll go back.
Note: They don’t allow bike’s or smoking in the room.

We got a loud room, on the first floor of the newer section of the building. It was adjacent to a stair-​well, and with the kids running up and down the stairs, and running around up stairs, it was a horrible spot.
On the flip side, the room itself was beautiful. Huge. Two queen beds with a couch. Awesome. The wifi was great, and since the television sucked (200 channels but 10 seconds to switch between them or search them… totally unacceptable) we watched netflix quite happily.
What else? The laundry was nice, we did a couple of loads pretty quickly one night.
So, this was not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, but since it is out of town, and we got a really noisy room, my experience really has this place at 3 stars.

Clean and newly remodeled. Pool is great for kids with 2 hot tubs. The gas fire place at pool is great on a cool evening. Plenty of fresh towels at pool. Warning they are tiny. I guess they don’t want them stolen? Ceilings a little thin. Could hear footsteps above. Typical I guess for this style hotel. Good breakfast selection and staff on hand to make sure nothing ran out. Big parking lot. Close to arches np. Good place if you want newer remodel for acceptable price. Staff was good as idiot above us was doing jumping jacks at 6am. Staff immediately shut him up. Can’t ask for more than that.

A perfect stay for us! We were here for six nights and enjoyed it. We had a suite with two queen beds and a pull-​out couch. Very clean and modern with a great TV. Our kids loved the fun pool. Breakfast food was good too.

An alright hotel. Fairly new and clean. The breakfast is pretty good, they offer full continental, a pancake machines, scrambled eggs with either bacon or sausage, and a selection of drinks including milk and yogurt.
Theres a few things to note:
–This is a very busy location during the fall to spring season. Lots of tourists and the hotel is booked up often, that leads to higher rates and no discounts. Because of the demand for rooms, they will charge you if you flake on your reservation.
–Nothing really in walking distance except for a Denny’s which is a mile or two up the highway.
–It’s easy to miss the turnoff. The hotel itself is off a small spur service road loop that’s unmarked and coming from the south the hotel is down a small hill and it’s blocked by a huge billboard thats advertising a competitors hotel.
–Bicyclist unfriendly I would guess, they make you sign a waiver that you can’t bring bikes in. They had problems with bikers tracking in red mud onto the carpets, and it seems like the bulk of their business is tour groups on buses and other motorized groups.
It’s about a 20 – 30 minute jaunt off I-​70, so if you are stuck between Green River, UT and Grand Junction, CO, it can be worth pulling off and heading to Moab for a quick rest for the night.
Better deals can be had further in town.
They are very friendly to off road clubs, I’ve seen dealership support set up in their parking lots for servicing off road vehicles and stuff.

The Holiday Inn Express is one of the newest hotels in Moab, with modern and spacious rooms. It’s on the very northern edge of town– which is convenient to the main entrance of Arches National Park and is good if you want to be away from the hubbub of downtown, but the downside is that it’s not walkable to restaurants, shops, and clubs in town like many other hotels are.
