Great sports bar!!! Burgers are great… The waitress’s said the check in offer wasn’t valid, but the food was delicious and our game was on multiple televisions and they even gave us an individual speaker for our table so we could hear it! Environment great for sports!

Always love going to Knuckles. Great place to watch sports with so many TVs. I love the food and the new items on the menu especially the lobster roll. Happy hour is also good. The bartenders and servers are great and knowledgeable about the events happening in the area. Too bad they got rid of the peanuts, though the popcorn is still free.

Only reason to go here was tired of driving and staying at the hotel… Server was more interested in her friends or the other servers than actually helping the customers. Plenty of TVs but the food is way below par. Burger was blah and pizza was cardboard. Ok onion rings. Over priced, underserved and uninpressed.

Service: Why did I get a server who already decided to provide bad service when I took 10mins to order something? I never had this problem in multiple casual restaurants where it took me longer to order something. Bill: not satisfactory. I think they put in sales tax for each burger(at least 2 – 5 $ more) and gratituity tipping included in the bill. How does a 33 – 35 $ meal become 45 $!!! I should’ve stopped my brother when he tipped another 15% for my waitress on top of the whole bill. Terrible service. 0−10% at best.

My wife and I are very new to Monterey and we came across this place on Unilocal.I called the number and the phone rung for at least 5 minutes with no answer. I plugged in the address and it was very difficult to find.(Never found the place). It took us to some Hyatt hotel and we ended our search. I see there was a post 8 days ago reviewing this place so I’m a little confused. Is this place still open?

I had second thoughts coming in here to have dinner with the mini-me because of the negative reviews and pictures posted. Since We were too lazy to drive to grab dinner we just went ahead and gave it a try. Oh boy I’m glad we did. The clam chowder taste wonderful with so many clam meat in it. Both the steak and the salmon tasted really good. We definitely enjoyed our food and definitely no complaints about it. Our server is friendly and always checking on us. If you love to watch sports, there’s plenty of television here. There’s even one per booth aside from the large screens all over the restaurant. Total bill for two…$ 98

It’s okay… nothing special… love their unlimited peanut and pop corn… their pool table is very small.

Loved this place for beer and sports channels. However… I was sadly informed they stopped serving peanuts in the barrel. Something about small children crawling around and eating things off the floor and a potential lawsuit. Really? What’s worse, a child rolling around a dirty bar or parents that are vigilant of their child’s peanut allergy. Bring back the nuts please! !!

Pros: free popcorn and peanuts. Good enough ceasar and wedge salads, reasonable kids menu. Cons: obnoxious number of tvs. Like 30+ of them no joke. It ridiculous and just too much.

All of those big screen with all of the football games. What a great sports bar, they need one in Alameda, CA. Knuckle feature a large selection of beers and a fully bar. Plus they have a barrel of peanuts and a popcorn to munch on while you wait for your food. I had a turkey burger with the Gilroy Garlic fries… the ulitmate combination with a Shock Top beer to wash it down. The burger was cooked just right and once again those Gilroy Garlic fries. Yumms! Knuckles features pizzas, burgers, and all of the food you would find tailgating. Everytime I stay at the Hyatt Regency I make it a point to watch some football games at this sports bar.

The meal was good, but not worth the constant«faggot» and«gay» remarks coming from two tables down. There were children sitting one table away and the staff didn’t even just remind them that they are in a liberal part of our country still and that children are impressionable. I even saw a few waitresses approach their table at some point and appeared to be catching up with their friends.

Staying at the Hyatt, my husband and I ate here after a day of hiking, and shopping. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich. The food was good, as was the service. So why only 2 stars? We also had the chocolate cake, for $ 8. It was quite dry, and tasted stale. This was a disappointing conclusion to an otherwise acceptable meal.

Good selection of beers, good variety of sports to watch. Service was enthusiastic but not speedy. I like the sound of some of the new menu items(not reflected on their web site) in concept(vegetarian pasta; fries topped with feta, lemon juice & oregano; marinated tomato salad), The tomato salad was good(generous amounts of avocado, pumpkin seeds, arugula in a citrus dressing), but not great, since the tomatoes themselves were mediocre(out of season?).

Pros: Convenience is about the only thing this place has going for it. We have 2 small children and didn’t want to load them back in the car. Service was good. Tons of flat screens showing lots of sports. Free popcorn. Cons: French fries and chicken strips tasted weird. Beer selection on tap was lame. Prices were high. Not that it’s their fault but it was a slow day in sports. I mean the NFL combine was on the big screen. So actual games(NBA and NCAA) were relegated to small screens. But then the Winter Classic started and that bumped the combine. Good call Knuckles!

Great service, our waitress was Cindy, she was wonderful and went the extra mile to look after us. The food was okay but nothing special. My Margarita was the favorite of all the things I had.

Not the place to go hang unless you like sports. They boast 25 tvs for doing just that. Had hoped the food would make up for that fact, but sadly it didn’t. First, they offer free self serve popcorn, which I guess helps when your drinking all night watching the game(s) but, it made the place smell like a movie theatre, and after a while, became distracting and nauseating. The nachos were nachoie… cheap Velveeta cheese and jalapenos that were all dried up and had the kick of a bell pepper. Hubby said fried calamari was good but he didn’t care for the intense basil aioli(and we love basil!) …and they burned the first batch. To her credit, our server caught that before it left the kitchen but, it meant a delay of him getting his appetizer. The BBQ Burgers were billed as some specially sourced beef but… I’ve had my share of frozen burger patties and you’d be hard pressed to convince me these were anything but frozen. They asked me how I wanted it cooked, so I asked for medium. If the burger had been fresh made that should have been obtainable. Instead the thing was thin, cooked grey, and dry as bone. I needed 2 glasses of iced tea to choke it down. The only saving grace was the fries were good… at least they didn’t taste of calamari!

This is the sports bar of sports bars. Located directly inside the Hyatt in Monterey, and just a few steps away from Tusca. Knuckles has t.v.‘s galore, covering every single wall with televisions of different sizes. They have smaller t.v.s in each booth, which I personally have never seen before, but think it’s an awesome idea. We were sitting at a table in the middle of the place and there was a giant t.v. behind us. They also have more moderate, normal sized t.v.‘s placed around the bar. No matter where you look in knuckles, you will have a t.v. in sight for your viewing pleasure. We had a plan that involved getting an appetizer and drink here, and have dinner at Tusca. We went for the basic traditional buffalo wing. You get six for about six dollars. Our waitress brings them out and the wings look beautiful. Nice and saucy, I am very appreciative for the extra napkins she brought. The wings were very good, the ranch not so much. It had a grayish color to it, and just reminded me of store bought ranch instead of delicious home made ranch. But you can’t have everything. I had a beer which was nice and cold, and only $ 5.50. I’ve seen places where they have a chip and salsa bar, but never seen an popcorn machine. It was pretty cool. A basket of paper bags right next to it, you open the doors and scoop your own popcorn. The popcorn itself was salty and buttery, just like movie theater popcorn tastes. Our waitress was nice. She seemed pretty quiet and not very enthusiastic, but she was friendly, asked us how things were, and kept a little smile on so you can’t complain.

Gone are the days of peanut-shrouded floors and collage-splashed walls at Knuckles. The new digs at Knuckles are a better match to the sophisticated and stylish Hyatt brand(although I do love shelling me some peanuts) while till keeping true to it’s sports bar persona. This is definitely one of the best places to checkout any of the latest sports. Knuckles features over 20 flat screens and even the booths come complete with their own flatscreen tv. Knuckles boasts a nice fireplace and an oversized bar along the main wall. Knuckles’ menu features standard pub classics with many seafood selections. We noshed on some chicken nachos, calamari and a couple glasses of wine and beer. The menu stated the nachos were supposed to come with a three cheese blend, but it when it came out to the table, there was nothing more than canned cheese-smothered chips. Come on Hyatt, you gotta serve real cheese! The salsa was good and very fresh. The calamari was pretty good with very generous portions. We both came in very hungry and still couldn’t finish off the nachos and calamari. Cool hangout spot with wall-to-wall screens and a fun atmosphere. I like the mixed crowd(twenty-something’s, thirty-something’s all the way up sixty plus) and the relaxed vibe. Can’t wait to re-visit and sample a few more menu selections.
