Business Owner

Hans Römer, born and raised in the Netherlands, where he graduated from the prestigious CIOS Sport College, welcomes you to the Monterey Bay Racquet Club. He is excited sharing his 25+ years International tennis experience with the members and guests of our beautiful 6-​court facility. In addition to the qualifications listed above, Hans has served on the USPTA California and New England Boards, as well as the USTA New England Collegiate Committee. He now serves as Vice President for USPTA NorCal and the USTA NorCal Coaches Commission. Resulting in receiving several awards, including USPTA NE Regional 2007 «Pro of the Year». As USTA NorCal Zonal coach for the Boys/Girls14’s, in Colorado Springs, Hans coached his team to a first ever Gold Medal in the summer of 2011.

The courts are in perfect condition. I took a lesson from Hans who had very insightful tips. He was demanding and pushed you to your limit but it was on purpose to teach you to play under difficult conditions. He diagnosed some of my flaws in my strokes. Overall he was one of the best instructors I’ve experienced. I will come back if I’m in the area.
