Dr Pechak is an outstanding dentist!!! Recently I experienced issues associated with my bite and Dr Pechak took the time to thoroughly assess my dental needs before making any recommendations. I can say without a doubt he is the most knowledgable and experienced dentist I have ever seen. I am usually reluctant to visit the dentist but immediately felt at ease under his care. The genuine care and expertise of his staff was also much appreciated. Dr Pechak’s clinic is equipped with the latest in dental technology. I highly recommend Dr Pechak for all of your dental needs!

Dr. Pechak performed gum surgery for me last year. My gums had receded, an unfortunately side effect of age, perhaps genetics or brushing too enthusiastically. I also have a crown covering a tooth with a root canal that showed the underlying tooth. Not terrible but distracting and it bothered me.
He uses a modern method that very few dentists are qualified to do. I know this as I was referred to him by my regular dentist who wishes he had the training to do it. In fact, my dentist told me Dr. Pechak has accomplished things he thought were impossible. Instead of cutting gum tissue from the roof of your mouth and attaching it (ouch), he literally moves the gum adjacent to the area to be covered. The disrupted tissue attaches to the receded exposed root and after it heals, it looks like you have the gums of a 20 years old. It took just a few hours for the uppers. It probably would have hurt a lot but I took drugs for the procedure, so no big deal. I just needed a ride home and long nap afterwards.
For about a week, it is quite swollen, but not very painful. You do have to avoid eating solids for awhile. I did look like a cartoon character for a few days due to the swelling. But it quickly healed and a year later I can say it looks as great as it did a couple of weeks after the procedure.
I felt very comfortable with Dr. Pechak and trusted him. I will eventually go back to do my lowers as well. He apparently also has a very advanced technique for implants.

I am very satisfied with the results from DR. Pechaks work. Just had a check up yesterday and the pocket numbers are way better than they were before work was done. I would
recommend his work to anyone who has gum issues.

If you look for the best periodontal work in the entire Monterey area, Dr. Pechak’s office is the right place. When I needed an emergency surgery a couple of months ago, they helped me immediately and professionally. I always felt being in good hands from the very first surgery until I got my implant four weeks ago. At every time, Dr. Pechak was professional, kind and very thorough. He talked me through the whole procedure and has followed me closely to make sure that I felt comfortable. Besides being a good doctor, Dr. Pechak has an excellent team. They all were always gentle and very helpful throughout the preparation and post-​processing of my surgeries. Moreover, I liked it a lot being sent home with my antibiotics, pain medicines, and rinse in a nice «goody» bag. Finally, as a German citizen it was priceless to have a doctor speaking my language. I have recently received my second implant from Dr. Pechak. My experiences have been wonderful! I went in this second time with NO trepidations. I know I am in good hands. Neither time have I had any pain with my implants. I like being sent home with my antibiotics, pain meds., and rinse in a nice «goody» bag. This saves a trip to the pharmacy. Besides having total confidence in the doctor, his staff is excellent. They all make me feel like I am special and that they care for me. My husband has been a patient there also and he feels the same as I do.

The best decision I ever made was to go to Dr. Pechak for my gum surgery. I had been putting it off and had scheduled with a different Periodontist when I saw Dr. Pechak’s add in the newspaper. I remembered seeing him on KSBW when they did a segment about the new surgery he performed for gum surgery. Everyone had told me how painful the gum surgery was including the staff at the other Periodontist’s office. I immediately felt less anxious when I had my first appointment to discuss my gums. Everyone at the office is so friendly and professional. I learned from Dr. Pechak that he would make me as comfortable as possible and that he would supply me with a shield for the roof of my mouth to protect the area that was removed (and used as tissue to replace my receding gums). This device, that reminded me of a retainer, helped so much in my ability to eat the first week after the surgery. It was uncomfortable but not painful as I had anticipated. My gums look beautiful now and I am overjoyed at the results! I recommend Dr. Pechak to everyone.

Dr. Pechak was professional, kind and very thorough. I had broken a crown and when the dentist took the old crown off realized I didn’t have enough tooth to reapply another crown. I needed a gum reduction. When the office called to see if I could get in for surgery, Dr. Pechak’s office fit me into their schedule THAT day within a half an hour after my dentist appt. He was gentle and talked me through the whole procedure and has followed me closely to make sure it was a good experience. I would recommend him and his office to any other person needing periodontal work.

When I moved from Seattle to the Monterey Peninsula two years ago, one big challenge was to find excellent dental care in my new home. My Seattle periodontist referred me to Dr. Pechak. I couldn’t be happier than to find this level of dental professional living in paradise on the Central Coast. If you need perio care (and you should know who you are), this is your guy. He’s not about selling you an implant. He’s about taking care of your mouth to prevent the need for the next one. Great practitioner. Wonderful staff running his office.

I cannot say enough good things about this office. The staff is as friendly and professional as it gets. They are always on time for the appointments and take
the time to explain every procedure. After completing my work another dentist told me that it was exceptionally done. The office is easy to get to, clean, and has good
parking. I cannot recommend this office highly enough. Do not debate! Just go here and get your work done. You will be VERY happy.

Love this place! They are always so friendly and calm. I had a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist for several years and had to get a deep cleaning here. They were very understanding and did everything in their power to make me comfortable during the procedure. Following this, they had me come back every 2 months and do cleanings which have gotten increasingly easier! The hygienist is always very friendly, as are the receptionists. Dr. Pechak is very kind as well and always makes sure I am on the right track with my dental hygiene. This place has changed my teeth and gums forever! (In a positive way, of course). Would definitely recommend them.

I have had two procedures to repair my gums where they had receded. Dr Pechak did an excellent job. I like that they provided a home care kit to aid on the healing process. The healing has been remarkable. My gums look 20 years younger. Dr Pechak and his staff are pleasant and professional. I would, and have recommended the Perio Implant Center for gum care.

Remarkable marketing and office appointments. Unfortunately, the highly touted surgical procedure used for gum recession using PGRF is neither the gold standard or most effective. I was fortunate to have a second opinion from an equally highly rated periodontist in San Francisco who was trained in the procedures Dr. Pechak uses, but carefully explained why that would not be most efective in mine and most other cases of gingival recession. I reviewed the comparative outcome dental literature and found the San francisco periodontist was right.
I can see how the lush office atmosphere, biscotti and cappuccino, and slick print and video marketing impact desirability, but the best measure is dental judgement and providing the most effective treatment, not a cookie cutter approach, however attractive on the surface.

I want to thank Dr. Pechak and his wonderful staff (including his lovely wife Maya) for taking such good care of our daughter. She had to have a frenectomy (removal of the frenum, some skin in between one’s front teeth) as part of prep for braces. Surgery, even minor, is always nerve wracking but it was a piece of cake. First, the office is totally beautiful, nicer than most spas. We even had cappuchinos and cookies while we waited! They took great care of our daughter, even gave her a blanket after the procedure. Dr. Pechak is a master with pain management and she barely needed Tylenol. 48 hours later you can hardly tell she had surgery! I never thought that going to the dentist could be a treat but this was! This is the state of the art!
