This was my worst banking experience ever. The teller was simply rude and the personal banking guy didnt know his stuff (i knew more than him on topics).

Wow. Don’t quite know what to say as I was utterly dismayed by the poor experience at this branch. I walked in here at 11am on a Saturday morning. There was hardly any staff on hand to help people. Customers were waiting around and there was no staff to direct customers until one customer told me that I had to write my name on a piece of paper to be in line for service by a banker. Customers were leaving as they couldn’t wait any longer and were shaking their heads. The whole place was downright depressing. I don’t know what kind of image citi is trying to project with the branch in this hapless state. The only saving grace was that when I eventually got to see the banker she was very helpful and efficient, and was trying to stay in good spirits despite the chaos around her. Kudos to her.

I am very happy with the tellers at this branch. Anytime I need to go inside rather than the ATM they seem so happy and friendly, greeting me with a big smile and pleasant manner. It gives me the vibe they remember me, and I am really impressed by that. I don’t usually go inside, so it’s nice to see this. Convenient location to me, and I will continue to go to this branch.

They are clearly way understaffed and do not admit it. Be prepared for an average wait time of 45 – 60 minutes. They don’t tell you upfront of the wait time, they start with saying the wait time is 5 minutes and keep adding two minutes till you’ve waited 1 hour. This has happened with us and other customers on all the occasions we have visited them.

I needed to wire some money. The first Citibank I went to was in Los Altos and «their system for wiring money was down». That’s not very reassuring. I was told to go to the Mountain View branch. Interesting that the systems are different branch to branch. I waited for an hour because there was only one person in the branch that could perform a wire transfer. The branch manager was not able to do it. Very disappointed.

I went to this Citibank branch last Saturday, 10÷25÷14 to open a bank account and the whole process was very pleasant! Josh was incredibly helpful and assisted me in every way he could. This is especially delighting because I’m a foreigner and was really ignorant with the process to own an U.S. bank account.

I don’t know why there are so many bad reviews for this branch, maybe I just got lucky this morning. I usually use the Lincoln Branch in San Jose, but just happened to be across the street at Dittmers, so this was convenient. The teller was very pleasant, friendly and professional. The place was clean and well lighted and there was absolutely no problem here. They even let me have free coffee!

Caveat: I don’t think this particular branch is that bad, but my complaints are mostly about Citibank in general.
Terrible experience. They of course try to be polite, but are incredibly inefficient. I had to wait 3 months for my credit card to be approved and issued and they constantly ignored my queries so I have to drive there in order to get some progress. Opening an account at Citibank was my biggest mistake, because I now have some recurring payments linked to it and it will be not as easy to switch the bank, but I seriously consider doing so.

This branch steal money from customer.
Worst customer service I’ve ever had! The ATM has technical problem and my deposit was disappeared inside the machine. When I finally have time to visit the branch with receipt, The branch manager in the first place blame me by not reporting the issue within 24 hours, and she says there’s no short in ATM machine for the past month. She looks me as if I come to scam for the 120 dollars. She doesn’t want to solve problem for customer, and was unnecessarily aggressive.
Citibank did not give my money back because they don’t want to admit their own mistake. They steal my hard-​earn money $ 120. You have to be careful banking with them.

Worst service I ever have… the other citibank branches are much better. I tried to get some bank statements, and it took me 5 trips to get it done, 5 days in a row, drive all the way to the branch. The worst thing is, not a single apology. I was so mad. The tellers attitude are really bad, especially those spanish speaking ones. This is america, please be friendly to your customers.

The teller are not very friendly. They hassle me over cashing in rolls of coins from a work fundraiser for UNICEF. After I proved to them I had a Citibank account they proceed to breakup the rolls of coins. They wanted to count out and ensure I didn’t try to rip them off. I by the way painstakenly counted out and then weighed each roll to ensure there was the correct amount in each roll.
TIP: drive up the street to the Los Altos branch at 130 Main Street. They welcome your visit and business. They do service right!
