Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel

Very nice rooms it was a last minute thing we pay 130 for one night which isn’t bad with the black bike fest going on. The rooms are very nice and clean and the workers are amazing people ! Highly recommend! Suprised to find a hotel so close it’s only 8 $ a day to park your car as well

Eat anywhere else but don’t eat at Vidalia’s, management doesn’t give a s”t, when we checked in they told us that there will be a buffet at breakfast, when we got the restaurant the waitress told us that they decided not to serve buffet because they don’t have enough guests for breakfast, I ordered a salmon Gravlax and bagel, they were out, my wife ordered salmon benedict, they were out, we asked for some warm water for my daughter’s cereal, again it took forever to come to the table that i had to step outside to the Starbucks café in the lobby to get some water. i decided not to get breakfast that day and i went to a bagel place across the street which was delicious and the employees were friendlier.
We decide to give Vidalia’s another chance when we decided to get dinner there. it was one waitress who was probably working as a waitress, food runner and hostess at the same time, after we placed the order, other tables got sat but we could tell that she was trying hard to send orders, process checks (individual checks for a large party), my wife had tomato bisque which was ok, spinach and artichoke dip was mediocre, my wife actually went back to the kitchen and asked for my chicken pasta to go since we felt that we spent an eternity in that place. for the whole time we were there, no manager or supervisor came to check on the dinning room, guests or how everything was.
If I were the F&B Director, I should be ashamed of myself. the highlights of our stay were the rooms and the housekeepers.
will come back to stay in this hotel but I will eat at any hole in the wall at Myrtle Beach but Vidalia’s.

We stayed here for night, it was last minute. Great stay, would recommend in the future.

Sheraton convention center — Myrtle Beach!!! DON“T DO IT!!!
We haven’t even been here for 2 hours and we are screwed… 4 People — booked thru
— When booking I picked the room the had 4 people on the room description. I also requested two beds for 4 people. After I made the reservation and paid if full 2 ½ months in advance I figured my reservation would be honored. A week ago I made a «SPECIAL» request stating that I needed 2 double beds and possibly a roll away. I arrived to check in and was told the rollaways were gone 2 hours ago. We checked and walked into our room — KING fricking bed!!! We called down and the manager Anthony Richardson was awful — to bad so sad. He was kind enough that we could get the ONLY room left in the hope for $ 249 a night — We felt that it should be comped. NO — I have have never been to a hotel where management did not bend over backwards to make things right. We are packed like rats and very upset. Sheraton — you should be embarrassed!!! UPDATE — They put $ 950 on our credit card for incidentals… crazy!!!

So we just got to stay here for a night during spring break, and it was incredibly nice. Yes it can be expensive but it was totally worth it! It seems like they really emphasize on guest service and they really achieved that. Our drain totally took a dump on us when we took a shower and when we called the front end, they sent someone to help us and they were there within minutes and left within minutes and the problem was fixed! #SpringBreak2016.

Utterly poor management! If you are ever going to plan a event here please reconsider. Classic left hand doesn’t know what right hand is doing in their management style and the way they operate. They avoid dispute never return calls good luck if you’re ever going to use his hotel

Stayed here because of proximity to the sports complex which is not actually adjacent to the hotel. Everyone on the team elected to drive from the hotel to the sports complex because temperature, distance and baggage made the prospect of walking that far unpleasant. I am sure Grandpa would have really been exhausted if we had not driven.
The room is clean and the staff is friendly. The parking garage is not so nice.
We can see the ocean from the room window, but not the beach. For a few dollars more we could have been on the beach. If choosing this location for proximity to the convention center, it is a good choice. If you are headed to the sports complex, don’t default to this hotel because you will probably be in your car anyway.

Extremely nice hotel. Room was only adequate in size but very clean. The linens were quite cozy and the pillows were so comfortable that I bought six. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and I am happy to give it my highest recommendation.

Great service very fast and friendly… place was packed but didn’t stop them for being 5 star restaurant. gluten free pizza is always good

There’s an almost empty bar. We were 3 people eating a small sandwich each that we bought inside the Sheraton. A waiter comes to inform us that no «outside» food is allowed. I ordered a sweet tea, but before continuing with a drink order for everyone, I asked is it OK if we order drinks but finish our sandwiches. He said the rules didn’t allow for that. He was doing his job, but those rules solidified my decision to never drink at that bar no matter what. That poor guy couldn’t get a tip for waiting on us. I would understand if the place was full, but out of about 14 tables, only two were being used. Sheraton should arrange for proper table and chairs for the food they allow vendors to sell food.

At the end of the day, your hotel room is a place of refuge. It is your home away from home. A rented space for you to put your head down, relax, and rest so you can kick butt the next day.
It’s a nice hotel, the Sheraton name is one of the big boys when it comes to hotels in particular. Offering great rooms, great comfort, in awesome locations. Hence this particular location.
Nestled right outside of the center of everything that happens in Myrtle Beach, about less that a half a mile down the street is the beach. It’s not right there, but it’s not too far either. I happen to love running and I did a little 1.5mi jog on the shore.
Anyways, the staff is really nice. The fitness center is great as well. Lots dumb bells, giant rubber balls, cardio machines, and a pulley system. Pool was being renovated at the time. But why would you wanna go to the pool. There’s a beach 2 blocks down the road.
Anyway, thanks Sheraton for a great night stay. I’ll see you again next time.

We stay here once a year for a music festival. I’ll give you some useful advice:
1) the vents near the elevators on many floors are like jet engines and you will hear them in your room
2) there is a huge blower on the back of the hotel, I don’t know what it is, but it is deafening, combines with the vents, you will never sleep if you can hear either of these decibel blasting atrocities
NOTE– I’m used to NYC noise so I’m usually okay with some background noise!
We had to immediately change our room. They were accommodating
3) the gym had such a strong chemical/​vinyl smell that I could not breathe. I’m asthmatic, so I quickly turned around and left before I had real issues. The Planet Fitness a few miles away is excellent, so pay the day fee and go there.
4) rooms can be slightly run down around the edges– scratched up furniture, showers in need of a facelift in some rooms, but overall the rooms are nice
5) our heat did not work but someone came immediately and fixed it
6) expect to pay $ 8/​day + tax to park

Nice hotel but the pool is for kids. No hot tub.
Rooms nice and clean. We upgraded to ocean view top floor. Breakfast ends early at 9:30 (not worth it if you tend to sleep late like me) the 24hour gym was door was closed and key card didn’t open it
Expect to pay extra for parking $ 8 plus tax. The beach is pretty far not exactly 3 city blocks but very long blocks if you plan to walk to the beach.

We stayed at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel during our weeklong stay for a family getaway. When my boyfriend and I arrived, we went to check in and we were told our room wasn’t ready. The woman at the desk (I wish I remembered her name, as she was the sweetest!) asked us for our phone number and she would call when our room was ready, we stated we would wait on the couches in the lobby area since she told us it would only be about 30 – 45 minutes. After about an hour, I went back to the desk she was at and she assured me it would just be a little while longer, fine. After another 25 minutes, I went back to see what was taking so long, we were not there for an early check in, we actually arrived 20 minutes after check in time was supposed to be. She finally got us in our room and she also got us access to the Club Lounge, which was a very nice touch because it saved us money since we didn’t have to go out to breakfast everyday.
The room we got was on the 7^th floor, I believe, and you could see the ocean from our room which was great. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was large, the blackout curtains were a plus. Our room was located directly across from the ice machine, it didn’t bother us much.
The front desk staff was pleasant and helped us with everything we needed. The parking garage was a nightmare! If you have an SUV, which we did, it was terrifying to maneuver around the corners! The elevators smelled like wet dog, EVERY DAY!
It was Bike Week when we were there so there was increased police activity, which was nice, I felt very safe. Bike Week made Myrtle Beach very loud, but since the hotel is located a little bit away from the strip, you didn’t get all the noise from everything.
We didn’t get to eat at the restaurant since it was closed every time we tried, we did however go to the bar and we sat at one of the tables surrounding the bar and the bartender /​waitress was TERRIBLE. She seemed so inconvenienced that we were there, and she acted upset that my mother in law didn’t order food, she’s a vegetarian and the only option they had was fried green tomatoes. Which she didn’t want. Whatever.
Easily the worst part of our stay was the indoor pool. Every time we went into the pool area, I had to pull trash out of the pool, I pulled a starbucks cup out twice, 3 straws, 1 granola bar wrapper, a bandaid, and a whole bunch of hair.
Besides the pool and the bartender, I would stay at this hotel again. Hopefully next time check in won’t be so bad!

I wouldn’t give this place any stars! The customer service was horrible, the bar, the restaurant, lobby. They were very rude and need some classes in customer service!

Had a great experience here. We stayed on the 12^th floor and had an ocean view. The front desk staff was incredibly nice. It’s a few blocks away from the ocean, but it isn’t a bad walk. Everything was stocked nicely and refilled during our stay. The beds were pillowtop mattresses and this was the first time I actually slept comfortably on vacation.
The concierge didn’t give us many recommendations for places in the area, but we did ask for somewhere the «locals» would go. He did give us towels for the beach and a map of places that we would enjoy in general.
Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

Agree with previous reviewers the mattress was not very back friendly. It got me some back and neck pain. Expect a few additional charges including parking $ 8 per day and facilities fee (for everyone). Parking is in another building and the elevator was not working. The water in our bath was just a little warmer than lukewarm which was disappointing since it was rather chilly Outside. I was expecting to warm myself up in a shower but i got even colder afterwards. It was very noisy in our room due to the air ventilation system. We turned our air system off and still the noise was there probably due to ventilation of nearby rooms.
After failing to sleep for half a night, we called the front desk and the manager Kelly was helpful in helping us switch to another floor that probably was less occupied and the air ventilation wasn’t churning as hard. The room smelt like cigarette at first but we were more then happy to have a quieter room to sleep. We delayed our plan the next day which was a pity but i guess sometimes you just cant expect everything works out when you travel.
Will report any additional surcharges when we get the bill.

Conveniently located about a mile from the beach.
Room:
1. Double: neat, clean, and spacious for a double.
Gym:
1. Cardio Machines: 2 bikes, 1 elliptical, and 4 treadmills
2. Weight: 1 full body weight machine, 2 folding gym chairs, and free weights
3. Mirrors: In front of free weights
4. Extra: 1 TV, full gym mat, 1 resistance band, 4 foam rollers, and 4 bosu balls.
Pool: Indoors
Customer Service: Good. I asked for a recommended running route by the beach and they have me clear directions.
Overall I would recommend.

It’s an average cookie-​cutter hotel room. The beds (at least in my room) were marshmallow soft. I mean unpleasantly, sink to floor, backache inducingly, and tortuously squishy. I spent one night at this Sheraton, but my back will remember my stay for weeks.
The «heated» pool is heated to about 35·Fahrenheit. I got one foot into the water and my tits froze off! And about one foot is all you’re going to get in to this «pool» in-​name-​only. It’s only 36 inches deep, all the way around. It is a large, icy puddle– if you will…
The sign directing you to the pool says «pool and spa». There is not spa. Nope. No hot tub. No spa. No whirlpool. No Jacuzzi. Nada, zip, zero, zilch, you’re outta luck you poor schmuck! Just a teeny-​tiny 3 foot deep pool, full of screaming, bat-​shit-​annoying-​as-​all-​Hell noisy kids with little to no adult supervision… at 9:45pm!!!
We are SPG platinum members so we did get to stay on the club floor. That was pretty nice… except for those drunk middle aged southern ‘ladies’ cavorting in the hallway in the middle of the night!!!
I would not stay here again. I would not torture my worst enemy’s dog with a single night’s stay in this high-​rise from Hell.

Check in is 4 pm but by 6 pm, my room was still not ready. I was there by 1 pm to be put on a wait list in which hotel staff will call you as soon as your room is ready but that call never came. Interesting how I booked the room with an Oceanview but was told they didn’t have any. I explained my reservation was prepaid through a travel site so if they couldn’t give me my ocean view room, then I would need a refund. Magically they had my room but it wasn’t available until 7.
The room itself was very clean. I was happy with that. The mini fridge was very tiny so if you are like me with a lot of food items to stock in the fridge, you will be disappointed. There is a tiny microwave in the vending area of each floor. I didn’t like using it since it had food stains splattered inside.
I’m not sure why I was charged for using the café upon checkout but when I explained that I didn’t use it the hotel staff promptly removed the charge.
Bottom line, check your bill throughly and make sure you get the room you paid for.
