Con #1-​Took my car here for a price to repair my cat converter. They have me a price of $ 1000 to weld the two loose prices together and $ 1500 to replace it. Midas did it for $ 350 and threw in a free oil change. Make sure you get a number to check the one they give you.
Con#2-The people that work there are a little rough on the edges also… leave your small kids at home.
Con#3-I go here multiple times a week for smokes and get cared by the same people every single time. I get that I don’t look 35 but do you really need my id every single time?

Cress creek auto has worked on a couple of our vehicles. They are professional and very reasonable. Its hard to find honest and trustworthy automotive shops. I would highly recommend john and his business for any of your mechanical automotive needs!

This is a great local business that has fair labor rates and is honest about their diagnosis and pricing. I recently had a lot of work done to my truck by them. I lived across the street from the shop for about a year so I was familiar with their business by using the gas station frequently. Jon is easy going and honest with you about repairs needed and cost. My truck is driving wonderfully! Sometimes it’s hard to commit to a mechanic since you feel like you’re always going to get ripped off, that’s not true here. Give Cress Creek Auto a shot! You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been going to Cress Creek Auto for more than 15 years, back when Jon’s dad ran the place. Everyone is friendly. I’ve never had a bad experience. Once, I had a valve gasket replaced on my 2002 Sable after I noticed some leaking. About a week later, I noticed it was leaking again. Jon tore the whole thing down again and replaced the gasket (which had not aligned properly) no charge. I won’t go anywhere else.

So, almost 8 months since my initial review and I will say my rating stands. I went to a dealer because I noticed oil leaking from my car and what did they do? They tell me that the power steering system was the problem with the leak and never checked the source of my oil leak (that review may come later). Today, I called Cress Creek Automotive and told them of my oil leak concern. Jon, one of the mechanics (also the owner’s son) and asked if I could bring it later in the day. He said no problem (no cars had appointments) and asked if was about my Camry (I never said who I was) and I said yes.
I get there and dealt with Tim, another member of the crew. I told him the same thing I mentioned at the dealer and the amount the dealer quoted me was not only off the charts, it didn’t address my question (e.g., didn’t even look at the leak). The dealer had my care for 3 hours to tell me they looked at everything but where I needed checked. Not here. My car was on the lift for about 5 minutes and Tim saw EXACTLY what I suspected the issue was. Tim asked me where the oil was leaking from? He also took the time to show me what was wrong once he found the issue. I didn’t tell him I went to a dealer the week prior but did tell him the story of what happened. He was pretty dumb founded and amazed of how sloppy that visit was.
Make an appointment for oil changes (out in about 20 – 30 minutes max; do the BG Moa service). If you need to drop it off, you can do that. Return later for a bigger job or go across the street for a bite to eat or do some shopping (a pretty good deli/​meat market is in the Cress Creek Shopping Center). The place is small but know one thing. Your car will be taken care of by VERY CAPABLE hands who have NO INTEREST to cheat their customers. Being in business for 2 decades might tell you someone is doing something right.

We have been bringing our cars to Cress Creek Automotive for the last 5 years. What’s great about this place is no matter what we’ve needed done on our cars, they are always price-​competitive, and they don’t pressure you into getting unnecessary repairs done. They are also really quick to diagnose problems, and even when you know they’ve got a lot of cars in their queue for repair, you always hear from them within a few hours.
I guess the only problem with them is that they are a small shop, and they don’t have long hours — but they are connected to a gas station that does. Also, since they are solely a repair shop, they don’t have loaners available.
They’ve been good to us, and we’re glad we found a local mechanic with a conscience!
