The Loft Salon

Ms. Sarah Price did my hair a couple months ago. I intended not to post any reviews since I wasn’t happy with the result. But today I just got a message from her (or the Salon) reminding me about an appointment with Sarah Price in December that I didn’t do. So here it is:
I checked on Unilocal very carefully before I got my hair colored. This Loft Salon had great reviews (that you can see) so I decided to do it here. I told Ms. Sarah that I wanted warm tone hair color (she suggested balayage) for my hair which included: light brown, red and orange brown colors. She was nice and asked me to show her the pictures about what I wanted. And I did (you can find the comparison picture I posted). She agreed to do it for me. But while she was mixing the colors I could see all of them were yellow/​blonde colors that I didn’t like. She said «Don’t worry, I’ll fix it for you if you don’t like the color. It’s gonna be so pretty.» The result was pretty bad. All the colors was blonde and dirty yellow. I asked her if she could fix it for me to the color I had shown her. She refused to do it and asked me to make another appointment in the future when my hair grows longer. I didn’t want any other appointments but they still emailed and texted me. My hair has been very dry since then so I don’t dare to color it again.

I’ve been with Erin Battaglia for a couple years and haven’t trusted anyone more with my hair. She has the most artistic way with hair and I am so excited about my most recent cut. I’ve had long hair my whole life and last week got a pixie cut. Best decision ever and I have Erin to thank for making it look so wonderful!
I have never felt so confident and comfortable in my own skin. It’s amazing what a great haircut can do.

Can I just say that I love Amanda Rogers? She’s so approachable and down to earth. She really listens to what you want, tells you what’s possible, and how she’s going to make your hair dreams come true. She is so so incredibly nice. I don’t trust my hair to anyone else.
I won’t lie and say that having your hair done by her is cheap or inexpensive. To me, it’s in the upper end of moderate but not as high as many other salons in Nashville. I’m incredibly cheap when it comes to pretty much everything, so when I say that having her do your hair is worth the price, it really speaks volumes!

Brenda did my hair and makeup for a formal event last week and I am so impressed (especially with the hair!!!) that I don’t plan on going anywhere else in the future! Great vibe and really great overall experience. Definitely 5 stars.

Jo (Jordan) is one of the greatest hair stylists ever. I have been letting her cut and color my hair since we were both in high school. I trust her with everything in me and I know that she will ALWAYS make my hair look amazing. Not only is she great at hair, she is very personable and will make you feel very comfortable.

Jordan has been cutting and coloring my hair for almost 2 years now and I love how i look when I leave there! Sends you away with a hug too! :)

I love the location and ambiance of The Loft! It’s a converted three-​story house with stylists on every floor. It was odd to open the door and have someone in a chair right when you walk in, with no reception, so make sure you know what floor your stylist is on. The cozy atmosphere was inviting and I love the concept that the stylists rent out the space and personally make their appointments. After searching for a downtown salon, I have finally found my place!
I was able to book with Amanda Rogers through her own personal website (with a link from The Loft’s website) and I was easily able to reach, change and confirm my appointment with her. Her hours are extremely flexible, which was great for making an evening appointment. She also is available on weekends as well. She was timely, easy to talk to and I LOVED my blonde when I left! Her prices are great and I would highly recommend her to a friend.
I look forward to my next appointment later this week!

Annie E. is the best person to get your hair done by! I just recently had my it done for my sisters wedding and I LOVED IT! She makes getting your hair done so much fun! She knows how to create what you ask for without pictures! Amongst all of this she has a great personality and is very professional.

Annie Trexler Eagle is the best! I initially found Annie when I was searching for a wedding stylist. I had a style cancel for my wedding and I was on the hunt for someone that was the perfect mix of professional and friendly. After our first phone conversation I knew I had a winner! She was professional, had great ideas, and was enthusiastic. She did my hair and makeup on my wedding day and I was so happy to have her there – she fit right in and added so much to our overall experience! Plus, all of my bridesmaids loved her (she did their hair too).
As for a regular stylist: she is great at helping you decide what will work for you style-​wise (hair, makeup, etc). She is sweet, accommodating, and flexible. Her space at The Loft is perfectly chic and cozy. She’s so friendly and you can trust her advice.

Annie Trexler is the best! I moved here from California about a year ago and I am so glad I found Annie! She has cut and colored my hair and she is amazing! I have long, thick hair and I find that it is hard to get a cut I like, but Annie has done a long cut on me and a short cut and I have been very happy with both! She really listens to what you want and executes it amazingly! You should definitely give her a call and set up an appointment! You won’t be disappointed!

Amanda Rogers is wonderful! I didn’t even have to tell her what to do to my hair, she just knew and did an amazing job! She matched my color to exactly what I wanted and made it look and feel healthy again. She also gave my husband a great hair cut as well. We love Amanda!

Go to Annie Trexler! She is great. I had a bad haircut done somewhere else and came to her hoping she could fix it, and she did awesome. She really listened to me and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I also learned that she has over 10 years of experience and it shows. I’m never going with anyone else!

Y’all. Amanda at The Loft is amazing. She gave me AMAZING new hair!!! I had long grown out layers with swoopy bangs and she gave me a touch of ombré and ADORABLE bangs. Seriously adorable. My OkCupid inbox is blowing up with messages about my bangs. It’s actually a little weird. One guy said he wanted to cuddle with them. But my dating life aside, Amanda is amazeballs and fun and nice and affordable. If you need a new stylist I cannot recommend her enough! And she works nights so you don’t need to rearrange your work schedule to fit her in.

This review is just for Jaima Margella ~ I didn’t have close experience with the Salon itself. It seems Jaima rents space in the building. It’s very nice space, soothing, well decorated, the building is expertly renovated and Jaima made me feel right at home. And finally, a facial that I can APPRECIATE. For days afterward, people have been commenting on how fresh and glowy I look. I’m taking my mom to see Jaima for mother’s day and have given her name to 3 people already. Everyone has different tastes, but of all the facials I’ve had… Jaima is up there in the top couple of them.

I came in for an appointment with Annie, and she was amazing! I had a gala to go to in the evening, and she was super flexible about scheduling me. I got a cut, deep conditioning treatment, and style with her — I’m usually not one to splurge on haircare, but her prices are extremely reasonable AND the end product was awesome. I got so many compliments about how stunning my hair looked that night, as Annie was able to curl some waves into my very heavy/​thick hair. She did an excellent job of layering my hair in a way that my hair would actually be style-​able. I highly recommend that you give Annie a try, as she is very experienced and talented. She is also very communicative with her clients; she really made the style work for ME. She asked me what I was wearing and how my makeup would look — I really felt like she was personalizing my experience. I thought she would just end the appointment with a quick blowdry, but she asked me how I would like my hair styled. Very lovely lady, and I will definitely be back when it’s time for another haircut.
Other perks of my experience include the quiet atmosphere of the salon. I was in my own special room with Annie, and the ambiance was very relaxing. The salon is also very close to Vanderbilt campus, and it was a nice walk getting there. If you’re looking for a good place to get your hair done, you gotta try Annie at the Loft!

If you have curly hair go see Jordan! I have curly hair and have tried many different stylists with no success. Jordan doesn’t have curly hair but she sure knows how to cut it. The salon has decent parking in the back and on the street out front. I like that the stylists are somewhat sectioned off so there’s some privacy; it doesn’t feel like an assembly line.

Went to the Loft Salon to see Shannon last Saturday to get my nails done. They were gorgeous when I walked out and now that its been a whole week, they still look flawless! I even got 2 compliments today! Get your nails done with Shannon and make sure they’re shellac! It looks so good and she offers REALLY good prices.

I recently bought the Groupon to the Loft and boy I was glad i did. First off the stylist (I think it was Ashley, third floor room to the right) cut, colored and deep conditioned my hair in record time. I was out of there in 2 hours. It’s seriously a record, more than once I have been in a salon chair for 5 hours. I’m not joking, if you are a slower stylist I am not the patron for you. This hair will eat you alive.
Anyway, everyone was super friendly and I was pleased with the hair color and cut. It was soooo soft from the treatment. Overall, she really understood that I do not want to spend time styling my hair, I want something that will dry in a bun and look decent. I’ll be back for sure!
