History
Established in 2001.
BUY. CONSIGN. ENJOY. Save on expense, splurge on quality. «High end consignment?» Sure, it exists. It’s here at Boston Consignment. The pieces were loved in a Park Avenue apartment, a Wellesley tudor, a Greenwich mega-home or a grandmother’s memory-drenched attic. Baker, Kittinger and Eldred Wheeler, D.R. Dimes, Ficks Reed, as well as 18th century European farm tables… and an Ilana Goor signed table. Gently pre-owned home furnishings or consigned antiques, we have the finest in well treated high quality pieces.
On the edges of Wellesley, Weston, Needham and Newton, Boston Consignment is a luxury consignment shop with fine art, oriental carpets, sterling and grandfather clocks from neighboring estates and the upscale beyond. Oils discovered in Grandmother’s attic can become your heirloom treasures. Mid-Century Modern, art deco, formal French and 19th century American period pieces decorate the airy showroom. Boston Consignment feels like family but reflects sophistication.
Meet the Business Owner
Real and Sheila R.
Business Owner
Owners Real and Sheila Roy offer a new angle on the recycling and rebirth of fine furnishings. As a 30 veteran entrepreneur, and member of the distinguished Young Presidents Organization, Roy spent a career seeking out and buying struggling and unpolished companies. Recognizing their intrinsic value, he would refine and fine tune them, readying them for sale. «And there is great satisfaction in seeing a smiling customer hugging their treasure and heading home with it. Everyone wins. Consignor and customer too.»
Where do these treasures come from? With more than 500 consignors from Beacon Hill, Park Avenue, Newport, Fairfield, Westport, Farmington and Greenwich who are downsizing, redecorating and just tired of holding on to pieces, it is a never-ending stream.
Previewing and evaluating quality and condition are essential steps in gathering suitable pieces. Dealers and homeowners on a sensitive budget have a field day with the vast selection and variety.
