Alluring Window

I don’t recommend this business. As a recent customer, I am happy with the end product (curtains and sheers on a track), but the process to get there was pain staking and took about 3 months and three in-​home visits. The first installation was a horror show. The curtains were too long and dragged on the floor. The install man left a hole in my wall that I didn’t discover until after he left. He also tried to convince me that a «bent screw» in the wall was an adequate hook for my tie-​backs. To top it all off, he left a mess: dirt and finger prints on walls and ceiling, dust and scraps on the floor. Very unprofessional. I spoke to the owner who agreed to adjust the curtain length, but only after trying to convince me that is was «normal» to drag and bunch on the floor. I had them replace the screws with actual hooks on a subsequent visit, and repair the hole. The customer service is not what I would expect from a small local business. I had to constantly check in with them to make sure that my installation was finalized, given all of the issues we faced. And I don’t feel that the company’s expertise and service was worth the money I paid.

for Christmas for our new condo. We are very happy with the customer service, sales rep and installer. I recommend this company for their professionalism and attention to detail. I am a perfectionist and I really appreciate the customer support!

Excellent job. Love the window shades which offer complete privacy but allow light to come in (a must in a NYC apartment). The installation was quick and easy and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend them and use them again for sure!

Do not believe one word of the positive reviews on Unilocal,Roni, the owner pays for them by giving discounts. I tried my best with this guy, its been 6 months since I ordered my shades, they came in defective. He tried to replace them, the second was defective, and i was told i had to «sue him» to get my money back. Problem is the guy takes all cash, im sure he has his reasons why, 1) perhaps reporting 2) so you cant dispute any shoddy work he does. I get why he may have 5 stars here and there, but if there is ever an issue, good luck getting your money back or getting a replacement made with what you ordered. He plays dumb, but he just cares about his bottom line. Sigh, now i have to go through the trouble of suing this guy for my 1k shade. Do not use, there are much better people around, those that are honest, responsive, and don’t demean you when all you want is what you paid for. Not to mention, when he came back with the factory people to look at the shade for the 3^rd time they would not leave your house when requested. I had to threaten to call the police for them to leave. Very Scary.

Our window treatments are done and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I set out thinking we wanted drapes in the space and after Roni expertly helped me evaluate all the choices, and weighed in with some really good advice, we went with blinds. And they are perfect. The installer was terrific too, he made sure they were a great fit and cleaned up everything before he left. I’ll use them again. Highly recommended!

We have recently purchased a home, since the the window is oversized, we were in a desperate need for a custom motorized drapes, Alluring Window team were extremely professional, showed couple of options, manufactured in a timely manner, and most importantly installed everything (including the electrical part) in a clean fashion.

Good salesman. The window coverings were adequate but when all was said and done the process was unpleasant and I would not want to put a friend through it.

Roni Leiderman and his team were really amazing. Firstly I was 2 hours late for my appointment but he waited patiently for me until I got home so that he could take measurements etc. I am not familiar with the different type of options for shades and blinds and he was very helpful in explaining my options. Two weeks later everything was delivered as installed and was was very satisfied with the overall service.

What a pleasure to work with this company. I purchased motorized roller shades. Had a great experience with the representative and was able to get exactly what I wanted in a good time frame. First of all, Roni is great. He is really accommodating and easy to get along with. He is down to business with a friendly way about him. I personally dealt with roni and was so happy with the results. My living room and bedrooms windows just transformed my house into a much for comfortable living space. Will be referring alluring window to friends.

So I approached this methodically & with a plan. I was going to check with 3 different places and make a final decision based on price.
I went to 3 places (janovic, crosstown, & shade store) and was met with very long delivery times, unfriendly people & high prices. I decided to try one more place. I went online and found Alluring & could not have gotten luckier.
Roni from Alluring is a awesome, friendly, professional, well-​mannered individual who came to my place immediately, gave me a amazing price/​estimate. I had no idea how ripped off i was getting until he came. The delivery was fast, on time, and the installation was perfect and super professional.

From the first phone call to the final panel of installation, Roni at Alluring Window was nothing less than a consummate professional. We had collected estimates from other
Hunter Douglass outlets but Roni delivered a level of attention to our needs that was not present with other salesmen.
Initially Roni helped us pick out shades and shutters perfect for our condo. He listened to our ideas, fielded a hundred questions, educated us about the product and helped shaped our decision. He was never pushy, forced an upsell, or pressed us on time. In fact he came back a second time, before we ever committed to buying from him, just to make sure my partner would be happy with our choices.
Although estimates from other «big box» stores were initially better than the quote from Alluring, Roni came down to a comparable price. Considering the customer service we had already received it was easy to lock our decision.
Roni was very clear about the timelines for manufacturing and gave us a realistic estimate– 6 weeks– for installation. He periodically kept us updated during that process to let us know how it was moving along. He also came back on his own accord to measure and address concerns specific to the construction of our windows.
Iinstallation came at about 7 weeks from purchase. Roni and one of his associates took great care during the installation and gave thorough instructions about our new coverings. I want to emphasize this point because it speaks volumes about the integrity of this business– our SALESMAN was present during the entire installation! How many companies take that kind of care from start to finish?
I can’t speak highly enough about our transaction. This is the kind of business that gives you hope for capitalism. Roni is a salesman with integrity, is committed to his clients, his product and communicates clearly (despite the accent ;)). He offered us the best options for our needs, at a fair price and stood behind it from start to finish. Now tell me where else you’ll find that in Manhattan?

The Alluring Windows team did a great job in sizing and installing my custom solar (roller) shades quickly and cost-​effectively in the living room and bedroom of my new apartment on the UWS.
Roni, the owner of Alluring Windows, came out to my home, within a day of calling him, to give me an estimate for the custom roller shades. I needed custom block out and solar shades desperately, since my windows are floor to ceiling and I face east, so the morning sun comes into my bedroom starting at 5:30 AM.
Thanks Roni for great and quick service… I can now sleep!

My sister needed motorized blackout shades for her 22^nd floor L-​shaped apartment.
We met with representatives from three other companies before we decided to hire Roni from Alluring Window. He was very professional and a pleasure to work with. He took his time to show us different samples and answered all of our questions. He is extremely reliable and prompt when replying to e-​mails, even ones that we sent him after regular business hours. Not only that, but he was able to beat all of his competitors’ quotes.
Once the shades we ordered were ready, he had to hold on to them for a while, because we were busy redoing some other things in the apartment. That wasn’t a problem either. Roni was flexible when scheduling the installation. The installation specialist came on time and worked hard all day to provide us with the beautifully finished product.

The motorized shades are beautiful and give the place that finished look.
We have a 5-​year warranty on the motorization part by Somfy and a 2-​year one on the roller shades from Alluring Window.
If you are looking for a firm that specializes in window treatments, I suggest that you check Alluring Window out before you call any other firm in the city. They are knowledgeable, reasonable, easy-​going and flexible.

I never thought I would be writing a review on this site about my window treatment company but I just had share my wonderful experience so that others can know where to go. as i had no idea who to trust with this. Also, so many companies of this type that are out there are totally a rip-​off. These guys were awesome. beautiful job, super quick and really reasonable price. Roni is a very trustworthy guy and the shades he set me up with are really great quality.
