Big Apple Chimney

I have used Big Apple Chimney for several projects, and have found the work fairly priced and promptly executed. They are up front about progress reports as jobs continue, and are very accommodating about returning to the site to tweak things as the need arises. I first used them to line a flue when we discovered the original clay liner had crumbled away. At the same time, we opened a fireplace that had been sealed off. They installed a marble mantle, built a new firebox, and made sure everything was in perfect working order. Later, they returned to make proper connections between the furnace and the chimney. They worked well to accommodate my schedule, other workmen’s schedules, and evolving scopes of work. If ever there was a timing snafu, they were very good about finding the soonest possible time to make it up. I had, and have, no complaints about them, and have no hesitations to call on them in the future for any chimney concerns.

I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance. The appointment was for today between 10 to 12. The Technician never showed up. At about 11:00 am I called to ask whether they were on their way. I was told that an emergency had come up. They told me that they would call me a half hour before coming over. I waited, and waited and waited. They never called. I called the technician’s mobile number again and there was no answer. I called their answering service and also got no response. It is very disappointing!

Had an appointment today between 10 – 12 and they never showed up. I got a call at 11:30 saying they were on their way. At 12:30 when they still hadn’t arrived I called and was told they were on their way (still). Twenty minutes later I gave up. Also annoying was that their phone kept cutting out and then disconnecting. In my experience, an unprofessional operation. Can’t comment on what kind of work they do since they never showed up to do it!
