I had a really good experience here. The office is immaculate and a very inviting. I was seen immediately and the staff was really friendly. Dr. Kopp was really awesome. I didn’t feel rushed at all and she took the time to really look into my issue and any habits or factors in my life that could be related. She clearly knows her stuff and is very insightful. I definitely recommend this place.

I went to Schweiger Derm (financial district location) for the first time a couple of weeks ago and had a wonderful experience. Beside the fact that the office is beautiful, the reception and treatment I received from the staff was superb. I was promptly seen by Susan Hirsch (P.A.) who was amazing– extremely down-​to-​earth and willing to sit down with me for what seemed like 45 minutes while answering all of my questions and giving really honest advice. I was amazed that she took the extra step of writing down all of her suggestions and ensuring that all of the ointments and cleansers she recommended were completely covered by my insurance rather than pushing expensive medications on me. Not to mention tons of free samples to hold me over in the interim! Thanks, Susan! Amazing, amazing office. Would definitely recommend new patients to try it out!

I visited the Broadway office in the Financial District and was seen by Dr. Susan Hirsch, she was awesome! She was very friendly and knowledgeable. She also took the time to answer all of my questions and didn’t rush. I went in for a visit due to eczema and extremely dry itchy skin around the eyes. I would definitely recommend this location. The office was very nice and modern and the receptionist was very friendly and courteous.

I started seeing Susan Hirsch in Nov (she just moved to the practice) as I was having a severe bout of hormonal cystic acne breakouts due to underlying gynaecological conditions that i had. Susan was very patient and spoke to me about various options, ranging from blue light laser, chemical peels to oral medication. In the end, we decided to try the VI peel, which I was initially afraid of as I have sensitive skin. She assured me that it would be good to exfoliate and unplug the deep clogged pores that I had, so as to prevent future breakouts. The results were amazing and she followed up closely with me, as I had an open wound and some cysts that came to the surface. I repeated the VI peel in Dec and the results were amazing. She also injected a keloid scar that I had from a laparoscopic surgery early in the year. What I like is that she took time to listen to me, and prescribed preventative medicines for my condition. Having visited multiple dermatologists in the area for frequent cortisone injections for cystic, I was very happy to have met Susan.

Life changing. Dr. Kopp has changed my life and she is awesome as are her assistants Lisa and Charline. The office is located near the R train and is gorgeous and spotless!
Dr Kopp is the first dermatologist and first doctor that I felt listened and asked all the right questions. I suffer from excessive sweating even in the winter time. I am usually the only one on the train sweating and with my coat off. I use to think it’s because I gained 30lbs or mental pause but I see many people much more over weight who do not sweat even when all bundled up in winter threads.
Between the sweating and being a migraine sufferer I have missed out on a lot of life and for the first time I see a little light at the end of the tunnel thanks to Dr Kopp and a little magic pill.

Don’t get me wrong, this place is pristine and Dr. Kopp is really nice. But it wasn’t worth the trip and my $ 20 co-​pay. After a brief convo and look-​over, I was prescribed Ziana… which, though I didn’t know at the time, costs several hundred dollars even with insurance. The doctor should’ve let me know that it was a relatively expensive topical cream and given me other options for my face troubles. I mean, you can get retin-​A for pretty cheap, why would I spend $ 500 on brand-​name shite that I can get for $ 15?

«Meh» is the most accurate description of this place. I visited Schweiger Dermatology a few times for allergies/​severe eczema flare-​ups. I was rushed through my appointments by impersonal doctors and PAs and consistently billed incorrectly. In the end, they hardly helped me… Save yourself time, money, and energy and don’t go here. Take a few extra minutes and find a smaller practice. There are definitely better places out there.

I went to Schweiger Dermatology yesterday and saw Merry Thornton (P.A.) and had a wonderful experience. I have had persistent red, itchy patches around my eyes for about 2 – 3 weeks that flared up to its worst state yesterday and needed to make a same-​day appointment. I called a few places found on my insurance search tool, but they didn’t have openings til the 2^nd week of September. Then I called Schweiger and they were able to book a same day appointment for me! The woman on the phone was so friendly and nice; it was so easy booking an appointment and providing my information to her over the phone. She was also able to check my specific insurance and confirm the copay, etc. When I went for my appointment a few hours later, the office employees were just as lovely. The receptionist was super friendly and offered water/​coffee and lotion samples (all available in the waiting area).
I was seen right at my appointment time and Merry Thornton was awesome. She has lovely beside manner and it was very comfortable asking her questions and speaking with her. She prescribed me a topical steroid cream for the face. I also have some small patches in my elbow creases (leading her to believe that I have a mild case of eczema) and she gave me a few samples of steroid cream for that area rather than writing me another prescription for it. All in all, my experience with Schweiger was great.
Another cool factor was that I was able to fill out and submit the patient forms through an online portal prior to my appointment! Once I booked the appointment over the phone, I was emailed a link to the patient forms portal. This was not only more efficient (paper forms are tedious) but it also saved me waiting time at the office.
Will definitely recommend this office and Merry Thornton to family and friends!

Is sad to see all great reviews about this office than makes me think that they pick and choose their patient !!! I made an appointment with a ZocDoc site for broadway office and 1 day later i received a confirmation e mail which is sent from DR Office to ZocDoc And 45 minutes before i received a text reminder fro the appointment from ZocDoc well when i went there to day at 12,45 a RUDE AND UN-​PROFESSIONAL front desk first told me my name is not in the system Than to sit and wait she had to help someone behind me which i gues was know because she called him by name (the former President was waiting on line for jury duty) i guess that office has his own policy i tought she was going to call (maybe)an office mgr instead she said no availibility for to day !!! I understand in business issues may come up but how you handle them can solve a negative situation into a positive one i thingk i didnt deserve that front desk to consult mgr before a customer walks out as happens in any business to day!!! I All customers in any business deserve same treatment !!

I have been going to Schweiger Dermatology for over a year now and I cannot say enough great things about this office! Dr. Kopp and Merry Thorton (P.A.) are an excellent team. I see them both on a regular basis for Cortisone Injections and they make it virtually pain free and my acne cysts disappear in less than 24 hours! Both women are extremely personable, knowledgeable and empathetic to their patient’s questions and concerns. They spend time explaining to me the details of each medication option and listen to my thoughts. We have come up with a skin regiment that works for me that continues to keep my stubborn acne under control. I will continue to see both Dr. Kopp and Merry Thorton (P.A.) for the unforeseeable future! I highly recommend them.
Also — the office is conveniently located in the financial district right next to Wall Street where I live/​work and the receptionist is extremely accommodating at making last minute appointments (I can sometimes call ahead ¹⁵⁄₂₀ minutes and they squeeze me in!). The office itself is beautiful and the lobby offers you many free samples of facewash/​lotion and waterbottles. I love going here! :)

Very accommodating to set up appointments, didn’t have to wait at all, friendly fast efficient knowledgeable courteous reception staff, love the bountiful free lotion samples! Complimentary coffee and water, attentive PAs, spa like clean facility, takes my insurance! And saved the best for last: drum rolls please: Dr Kopp is super knowledgeable, courteous and professional. I have seen her a few years now sparingly and I don’t think I would ever see any other dermatologist ever. I have seen her for both both cosmetic and minor medical issues at this office. She takes the time to listen and educate you on your concerns and questions. :girl crush:

Dr. Kopp is the best, I’ve been going to her for years and she is excellent. Dr. Kopp is really knowledgeable, she’s up on the latest treatments and never over-​prescribes or recommends products that won’t be helpful. Her office is beautiful, they have tons of free lotion samples (and the receptionists will kindly get you a few extra of the ones you like if you ask!) The office staff and PAs are lovely, knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. Definitely recommend Dr. Kopp and this practice!

Great service and friendly staff. I came to Dr. Kopp to get my skin cleared up ASAP, I am getting married in June. I made an early morning appointment and was seen right on time which allowed me to get to work on time.
Dr. Kopp listened to my issues, examined my skin, and we discussed what was best to get my skin looking great within my shorter timeline. She is very professional and so were her recommendations.
I’ll be back in a month!

This place looks like a high-​end spa.
Whether or not you care about that — if you actually need a Dermatologist that knows what she is talking about and takes a genuine interest in your well-​being then come here. Anyone can inject your forehead with Botox or perform hair removal.
Although the Physician Assistant saw me first, Dr Kopp came right in after her and performed my exam and discussed my options. I found her to be a super-​professional doc that gave me an honest opinion. She also actually involved me in the decision making process rather than just tell me what to do.
Since Manhattan has no dearth of Dermatologists– how many will you find that go above and beyond and do things like give you their email address? Also, how many can you see within 48 hrs? Miracle!
I guess sometimes dentists/​docs etc are sunk by their disgruntled staff. You won’t find that here. The employees are actually not challenged/​rude/​incompetent (i found them all to actually be charming … the medical assistant called to get my insurance information and confirm my appointment the day before!)
I’ll be recommending all my friends and professional contacts, and will be returning…

Dr Kopp is amazing. I am a healthcare provider who understands the importance of physicians being thorough. After seeing two separate dermatologists (one even at an Ivy institution) and having no resolution of my skin concern, I saw Dr Kopp who immediately said «I don’t like the way this looks. I’m gonna send it for pathology.» I was diagnosed with squamous cell skin cancer at age 31. This is not typical for people my age. However, because Dr Kopp listened, examined me and followed her clinical judgement, she caught something that had been delayed being diagnosed for almost two months. I recommend her to anyone I know without reservation. To be 100% honest (and based on my experience with other dermatologists here in NYC), anyone with a skincare concern would be doing themselves a disservice if they didn’t see a physician as polished as Dr Kopp.

Dr. Kopp was very thorough and professional. She gave me a skin examination body check up. Then we had a talk about face options and lazer treatments. I never felt like I was being «up sold» actually the opposite. She was conservative in her recommendations and thoughtful.

Great service, very attentive and flexible with times! DR Kopp was highly professional and knowledgable.
