Espresso drinks and coffee custom-​blended by Chef Keller’s longtime partner Equator Coffees &Teas, are offered year-​round in addition to house-​made juices.

Bouchon Bakery offers corporate and office catering, as well as catering services for weddings, bar mitzvahs, baby showers, etc.

We offer specialty items, including custom cakes and favors, as well as various seasonal and holiday items, all of which are available for special order.

History

Established in 2011.

In May 2011, Chef Thomas Keller opened the second New York location of his signature Bouchon Bakery at Rockefeller Center.

Bouchon Bakery at Rockefeller Center offers Keller’s unique twist on traditional French boulangerie fare. The menu includes a wide selection of soups, salads, sandwiches and viennoiserie. For the sweet tooth, the Bakery presents a wide assortment of classic desserts including hand-​made chocolates, pastries, cookies, tarts, and traditional French confections.

Designed by premier restaurant designer Adam D. Tihany of Tihany Design, Bouchon Bakery at Rockefeller Center is at the heart of this New York landmark, directly across from the studios of The Today Show. Large hand-​painted murals by French artist Paulin Paris adorn the walls above the retail area, echoing elements of Keller’s acclaimed Bouchon restaurants in Yountville, California and Las Vegas.

Their pastries were delicious! I had the cinnamon roll with a few of their macaroons. It’s generally hard to find seating but I was lucky enough to catch someone in their outside seating leaving.
The servers are very attentive– even when the line is long they are very quick with their service. While the pastries were delicious their coffee was mediocre and slightly watered down.
When I come back I’m definitely looking forward to trying more of their desserts and pastries!

Cute little bakery with an assortment of pastries and sandwiches.
Pluses:
— Good bread (they clearly know how to make croissants perfectly crispy and flaky)
— Line moves quickly
— Have a nice selection of choices for both food and drink

— It’s a little hard to find as it’s tucked in the corner
— Seating can be tough in the morning
— My sandwich got squished in the serving bag they gave

My husband and I stopped in here on a whim while killing some time before our next sightseeing venture. Given that we had some things planned at odd times during the day, we wanted to pick up a few items for breakfast that we could eat quickly. We selected a blueberry muffin, chocolate almond croissant, chocolate cherry scone and a cinnamon roll. Then got a half dozen of macarons just for fun. Everything we tried was super fresh and very good. Even when we ate on them for a couple of days after, they still held up well. And their iced mocha is pretty tasty too.
I wish we had one of these back home. Or maybe it’s a good thing we don’t — I’d eat my weight in pastries!

One of my fantasies in life is to own a bakery, so visiting Bouchon was an absolute must for me. My husband and I decided to go all in and get a bunch of different things: the smoked salmon brioche sandwich, the tuna salad sandwich, macarons (salted caramel, vanilla, chocolate, and birthday cake), a lemon meringue tart, and a babka danish.
The babka danish was the only thing that I didn’t really care for, and that’s simply a matter of personal preference, because I don’t like nuts in baked goods and it contained nuts. But the pastry was very flaky and buttery.
Everything else was outstanding. The macarons were intensely flavorful, especially the salted caramel and the chocolate. They were soft and chewy and perfect. I normally don’t like meringue on lemon tarts because sometimes the meringue overwhelms the lemon curd and makes it too sweet. The meringue at Bouchon was probably the best I’ve ever tasted and (forgive me for using a cliché), was perfectly balanced with the lemon curd. It was a perfect bite of sweet and sugary with tart and citrus that left you with a slight face pucker from the lemon. I could have eaten a dozen of those tarts.
The sandwiches were also delicious. Very simple in the number of ingredients, but very fresh and high quality. I devoured my smoked salmon sandwich and my husband really enjoyed his tuna sandwich.
We are so glad we stopped in. It was absolutely worth the price.

I am a PB fiend, so this place had me at peanut butter cookie. I tried both the PB cookie and the PB + chocolate cookie. These cookies are definitely a PB lover’s dream come true. These babies are heavy cause they’re filled with PB goodness. The cookie is chewy and the PB filling is smooth and oh so peanut buttery. I really liked both, but if I had to choose just one, I’d pick the PB one. The chocolate was really good, but I prefer straight up PB.
If this review was based on the PB cookies alone, Bouchon would be 5 stars. But of course, I had to try other goodies which resulted in disappointment.
I tried a beautiful slice of mint cake. It was a pricey lesson in how looks can be deceiving. It had a weird bland spongy/​rubbery layer (think Tempurpedic for your tongue) on top of bland cake that had very little mint flavor. I should’ve just bought a third PB cookie for the plane ride home instead.
I also got the TKO (Thomas Keller Oreo) to try. I had high hopes for this one, but I fell quicker than a sugar high. Again, the flavors just seemed bland to me. Save your money and just eat Oreos.

We decided to go to Bouchon Bakery because we had some time to kill before going to MoMa and Bouchon had been recommended to us by a foodie friend in-​the-​know about places worth trying. I was surprised upon walking in that Bouchon was actually VERY similar to a Starbucks. There were small tables and an ordering counter with food on display in the display case.
There were plenty of options, including a great array of desserts (including plenty of macaron flavors), sandwiches, salads, and drinks. After perusing the display for a while, we decided to split a pb and c cookie sandwich (peanut butter and chocolate). The cookie was really quite good – especially with the luscious chocolate interior. We quickly polished it off.
We just weren’t hungry enough to order more (our trip to NYC was specifically with food in mind), but next time I would want to try one of the pastries + macarons.

As one of the lucky winners of Macaron Day 2016 Instagram photo contest, I was able to sample an assortment of baked goods and sweets from Bouchon which happened to be my winning sponsor.
Raisin cross bun, chocolate baklava Danish, raisin oatmeal cookie, caramel budino, sweet cake, and (more) macarons — I had to restrict myself to space out and limit to one sweet per day (so much self control!)
I thought all the baked goods and sweets were fine but nothing to write home about. Most were leaning towards overwhelmingly/​way too sweet. It’s a stomach ache in the making if one decides to have a second. Or diabetes in the making if one decides to have any of the baked goods or sweets daily.
Thankful for my complimentary tasting of all the sweets — but didn’t convince me to spend on any of them in the future.

If you’re wandering around Rockefeller and are in need of substance/​coffee. Look no further! Bouchon offers coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and other goodies I probably don’t know of since I stick to the 3 genres I pointed out.
Seating is limited on the inside, but they provide tables outside. This is a quick grab a cup and be on the go spot as employees knock out the long lines in a timely manner.
Pastries are fresh, baked in house, chai latte is yummy, and their macaron (vanilla my fav) isn’t overly sweet but will satisfy you if you a hankering sweet tooth. The star on the sandwiches, is the poppy seed bread. Fresh, soft, and flavorful. I know flavorful poppy seed bread? Let’s just say, I end up eating the cheapest ingredient over the smoked salmon on the sandwich when I start to get full.
Get in line, the employee will take your order, scoot down until you hit the registers, pay, and be on your way.

I’ve been to this location several times over a couple of years and each visit is as great as the last. I’ve had the Bouchon cookbook for a while now and have loved it so it’s always a pleasure to get to enjoy their goods without having to be the one to make them! Despite it in being in a very busy Rockefeller Plaza there’s never been really a long wait and the baked goods and sandwiches are stellar.
Nothing I’ve had has been a miss but some favorites are: The chocolate éclair, chocolate croissant, the Bouchon Oh Oh, and the Thomas Keller Oreo (sensing a chocolate theme here?). Oh and for savories? The grilled cheese sandwich is my ooey, gooey jam.
A word of warning: if you’re lucky enough to get a nice day and a seat outside get everything you need ahead of time. Leaving your food to get a napkin or something means your food is vulnerable to the very aggressive birds who are ready to pounce on even a crumb left behind. It’s kind of funny until you lose a cookie. :(

I’m a strong believer of soup season! I’m usually a little skeptical on purred soups but Bouchon kills it! The soups here are spectacular. There is so much depth, flavor and balance. You won’t be disappointed. There is always the San Marzano tomato soup but I’m constantly lured into the daily special! That seducing soup! Drool! Now I can’t stay away! For only $ 5 I can get a small soup with a side roll of wheat or white. The roll is shaped almost like leaves and you can get 2 – 3 with your order, depending how generous the staff is that day.
The soups range from white bean with a caramelized red onion drizzle or carrot with celery crème fraîche or white bean soup with rosemary oil. I’m always so happy when I decide on a soup lunch. The seating is so limited at Bouchon that I have to sit at the basement of Rockefeller. One time I sat in front of this adorable British grandma was drooling over my meal. It’s hard to explain the Rockefeller area if you aren’t from these parts. Worth the soup hunt!
Obviously this place is also the right spot for decadent treats from macarons and small cakes. Come here and eat healthy and then gorge on all the sugar and fat possible! I know I do!

4 Star given to the OhOh cake and Bread Pudding. The reason why I down rated this place is because of the unpleasant staff. The lady who took my order had no smile on her face but a bored, sleepy, and I-don’t-care look. It was really packed and noisy in the store, so she got my order wrong. I didn’t ask for the brioche bread, but it was in my bag. I could have canceled it, but I’d like to try it since it looked adorable.
I had the OHOH first and it was amazing. Very soft and not overly sweet. Somehow I think they mixed sticky rice powder in the chocolate cake so that the texture was a little bit puffy and airy, thus very light and easy to chew. The chocolate just matches the cake perfectly. Out of all the cakes I’ve tried recently, this one definitely has a wow-​factor and tops others.
The bread pudding was delicious, too. Crispy outside and chewy inside. It has the aroma of the flour and the more you chew, you can taste the sweetness. I just think the chocolate chips in there unnecessary. It’s better without them.
The cream puff was so-​so and I wondered if they made a mistake, because inside there was vanilla bean cream, whip cream, and burnt caramel paste which was bitter. I was surprised to see there were more than one cream, but the problem was they didn’t get along well with each other, especially the caramel paste. It was too strong and only at the top part, so if you want to have a good mix of these creams, you have to do it yourself. Otherwise, all you taste is bitterness.
The brioche roll is cute in a cardboard basket, but the taste was meh. Dry, dry, and dry. It got stick on the basket and this is just a waste of food. Not worth the money :(($ 4).
I’m saving the better nutter cookie for snack time.
It was early in the morning (9:00ish) and I could find no seats both in and outside the store. So be prepared to wait for a seat or find somewhere else.

Yep this is another Thomas Keller place, the only difference is that instead of serving courses, they serve desserts!
Famous bakeries to try out here including macarons (size could be as large as your hand palm!), shortbread, or whiter chocolate tart. I love my mini size passion fruit macaron, it went perfectly with my Americano.

Bouchon bakery is always delicious. We decided to come by before our lunch plans, and we got some different things. I decided on getting the variety pack of macarons, the TKO (Thomas Keller Oreo) and the chocolate chip cookie.
The TKO was good, but I do love regular oreos more. The macarons were okay — none of the flavors were that amazing. Also, they gave me two of the gingerbread instead of a salted caramel and it makes me a little sad. More than a little sad actually. The chocolate chip cookie was good, but nothing super amazing. I love chocolate chip cookies in general, but this was nothing to write home about. Sadness.
Protip: there’s not a lot of seating around, but it’s a cute little store to pick up delicious baked items.

Location: Bouchon Bakery is at one of the sweetest spot around Rockefeller Plaza area. Why? If you cross the street, you can either choose to go skating at the Rockefeller ice skating playground, or you can watch the TODAY’S live news broadcasting. I was there when they were doing interviews with the VOICE stars. They basically blocked the street but by entering the Bouchon Bakery, I still grasp a little what’s going on by just sitting on the warm chair. BRAVO
Bakery: got cream puff and croissant. LOVE BOTH. cream puff ‘s crust is better compared to other crust I had in other places. Croissant is dense, moistured, fluffy, crispy. I love it.
Such a great sweet treat.
Service&price: price is bit high but considering the location, I am okay with it. Service is nice and welcoming.
Overall: 4 stars and I will try macaron

At long last, this was my first experience with a Thomas Keller joint. Someday I’ll make it to The French Laundry, but Bouchon Bakery will have to do for now.
I went into Bouchon Bakery to see what kind of cookies were available, and I ended up getting a double chocolate chunk cookie (they didn’t seem to have any regular chocolate chunks, very sad) to the tune of $ 2.95 and the TKO (Thomas Keller Oreo) for $ 3.25 to continue my cookie tour of NYC.
There are some mini treats by the register so you can grab one or more of them if you feel like a little shot of sugar that is wallet-​friendly. Well, scratch that wallet-​friendly part. I picked up a peanut butter cup that was a $ 3.50. Yikes. I gave the peanut butter cup to a friend, and it was enthusiastically eaten.
I carefully carried these cookies back home and ate them after dinner. They were pretty good but didn’t cause my socks to fly off. The double chocolate chunk was fine. The more unique TKO’s cookie parts were soft which kind of subconsciously makes you think of soggy Oreos.
I would certainly come back to try some other treats such as the bouchons and the cookies containing peanut butter and the regular chocolate chunk cookies.

At the heart of Rockefeller Center, I wouldn’t be surprised at how busy this place gets. This is not Starbucks, so don’t be ordering a caramel macchiato! They do have a caramel latte. I’m sure this place this place gets a lot of people ordering a caramel macchiato because the lady told me, «This isn’t Starbucks, but we do have a caramel latte.» Yes, I was one of them. I got the small and asked for an extra shot, but the small already comes with 2 shots. Sweet!
I also got their almond croissant. It was amazing and tasted like it was baked fresh. This bakery is viewing distance to the Rockefeller Plaza where the TODAY Show is filmed. I was part of the audience the morning of my visit here and just just stopped by for some energy before I get lost and confused in the city. This café is amazing. Really enjoyed the frothy caramel latte and my pastry. The food and drinks are handcrafted with love.

Whenever I am in New York, I make it a point to visit this bakery, sometimes multiple times (okay, every single day of a trip). Located right across from Rockefeller Plaza, it is a popular spot for out-​of-​town tourists as well as New York natives. During a mid-​summer afternoon, a long line snaked through the store with customers seeking refreshment. Luckily, the well-​trained staff quickly responded to all requests and I was on my way within minutes.
I bypassed the refrigerated case of healthy salads and beautiful sandwiches on baguettes and focaccia that remind me of home. Instead, I honed in on the gigantic macarons, the biggest attraction for me, all colorfully arranged in the pastry case, along with Thomas Keller’s versions of the Oreo cookie (TKO), Nutter Butter (Better Nutters), and Ho Hos (Oh Ohs). Also available were large croissants: pain au chocolat and almond.
The macarons are larger than most, with crisp, chewy shells and delightful fillings. I had the cherry and chocolate ones, the former filled with both a jam and a cream. Had I had more time, I would have started or ended each day with these delightful snacks. Such is my obsession for these treats that for a birthday several years back, a friend managed to convince the staff to deliver a large box of assorted baked goods — a risk since macarons are so fragile (they were carefully packaged in bubble wrap).
