Sandwiches were okay. The bread was a little hard, but otherwise it was an alright meal. Two stars because of the service, though. Both the cashier Avianca and the one making the sandwiches were awful. Avianca didn’t include coffee we ordered in our order and both had bad attitudes. Never coming back

Only thing I’ve gotten here is a grilled cheese(free from postmates…) It was the most depressing grilled cheese I’ve ever had. just look at the picture… I think my biggest complaint is that the bread wasn’t even the right type. There’s hundreds of better grilled cheese places in NYC. You’re on Unilocal. You should know better.

Food’s decent but definitely overpriced. Service overall isn’t very good. Ordered a Cuban sandwich, walked to the counter after about 20 mins of waiting to check the status of the order and they hadn’t even started the sandwich yet. Whenever I finally got the sandwich it tasted good, however the poor service ruined the experience for me.

We grabbed a quick snack here while visiting the Rockefeller Center. My husband and I loved the lemonade. The staff was friendly and the environment was clean.

‘wichcraft definitely isn’t the cheapest lunch option in the area(their sandwiches are usually $ 9-$ 10), but they have some unique options! I’ve had many of the sandwiches since my firm orders their catering fairly often. A favorite is the roasted turkey with avocado, bacon, onion relish, and aioli. I’m also a big fan of their hummus sandwich when I want a veggie option. It’s definitely a step up from the classic cucumber hummus sandwich with veggies, tahini and mint pesto. Another great option is the roast beef– way better than a deli roast beef in my opinion with pickled kohlrabi(like a turnip), watercress, and aioli. They have some nice salads, but they usually aren’t very filling in my opinion. If you’re looking for a sweet treat they have little cream’wich cookies that are really yummy! Pick one up if you stop by for their happy hour–(I believe everyday after 3pm) where you can get half off on all coffee drinks. Overall, a great lunch place at 30Rock!

Was at Rockefeller Center being super touristy and got hungry, so I checked their dining options in their building and saw that there was a sandwich shop by Tom Colicchio(sp). I used to watch Top Chef so that makes me an expert at his food. Since the building is quite large, it took me a few extra minutes to find the spot. Mostly a work crowd mixed in with us tourists. We decided to try the grilled chicken sandwich and the steak sandwich. Both were equally as good, nicely toasted bread, good amount of meat and perfect for a «gourmet» sandwich. Steak sandwich had grilled green onions so hope you like green onions. Didn’t seem too fancy but it was pretty good and hit the spot. Staff was quick in taking orders, making the food and bringing it to you. Pricing was fine as well, glad I stopped by.

It was so sweet of the staff to make the extra effort to make me a steak sandwich without scallions, I was touched. And when the cashier forgot to ring up my tomato soup, they brought me one free of charge, also very sweet. Service is definitely a priority here, which I appreciate considering it’s in Rockefeller, which is highly touristy. Loved my steak sandwich… a perfect tasty bite. Only minor criticism is that the tomato soup was lukewarm. If you’re in the area and looking for a quick bite away from the maddening crowds, ‘wichcraft will hit the spot.

My firm orders sandwiches from this company and they are the best I have had in NY. The contents of each are creative and the bread is always fresh and delish.

Hummus Sandwich. Bread was good, service was good. There were tables available, wow. Serenity now! in Rock Concourse. Not sure what is keeping people away, but whatever it is, it won’t keep me away.

3.2 stars. I had the pole caught tuna since I love tuna. You can never go wrong with tuna, but still, somehow this sandwich was very underwhelming. :/ However, the heritage smoked ham panini on cranberry pecan bread was quite unforgettable. If anything, get a panini if you come here.

Great place to pick up a sandwich on the run. Quick and easy for anyone who works around the Rock. Doesn’t get crowded, which is a plus. The studio for Saturday Night Live is above… so as an added plus, ya might see some celebs here or nearby in the food court area. Great people-watching here in general.

A middling experience overall. Had the«pole caught» tuna on ciabatta. I tasted the fennel-the olives and aioli, not so much, A very nice roll, but there wasn’t much tuna on the sandwich, so the thick crusty bread overwhelmed it. For a side, I had the small salad of chick peas which didn’t have much flavor and was instantly forgettable. The hibiscus iced tea(believe it also had pomegranate) was excellent. Service was good. I was actually thanked for leaving a tip in the jar. I’ll go back and try something else.

Perfect place to pick up food before a client meeting! Great options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. I called in a last minute order for pick up and it was ready 30 min later. The zucchini sandwich is pretty great!

For $ 10 I was expecting a fabulous sandwich. Instead I got something my hippy aunt would make. The Chicken sandwich tasted good, nice meat, good veggies, but the multigrain bread was hard as a rock and the sandwich itself was tiny. No sides. Fast service, but I should have recognized that no line in NYC is not a good sign… ever. I’ll go elsewhere for my lunchtime stop.

‘Wichcraft is not what I expected it to be. I was very amused by the name and thought it was very fun and unique. So, my BF ordered a chicken sandwich and I ordered a Chicken Salad and Lentil soup and dined in. I think the meal came out to be $ 30. The Salad came in a to-go plastic tray(like the ones you buy from a market), with shredded chicken, some fruit sauce, fresh veggies, etc. The portion was pretty small, and they fact that I felt like they just scoop everything but put it together, wasn’t very appetizing. I was expecting some unique recipe, secret sauce, a nicely fixed salad, but I was wrong. The sandwich was nothing special either. It was kind of dry and looked like something I can make at home. The soup was OK for $ 5 a bowl. The soup was rich but wasn’t hot enough. It was just warm and I prefer my food really hot. The bread sticks that came with was super buttery and not to my liking. All in all I do agree the produce was fresh. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to try it and I purely came here since I wasn’t feeling well and really needed some soup.

I work very close to Rock Plaza so I have tried most lunch places in the area. I like this place. I like the sandwich options, and at the prompting of a friend ordered a PB&J sandwich. It was surprisingly good. This is a pretty run of the mill sandwich place, but it is a convenient location, good service, and rarely too crowded. The dessert cookies are really good too!

Celebrity chef Tom Collichio’s contribution to the sandwich world has a handful of Manhattan locations. The sandwiches are each in the $ 9 – 10 range and a bit undersized. Each is nicely assembled from quality ingredients and there are touches of culinary creativity. The Berkshire pork sandwich combines a very few slices of the namesake product with Dijon mustard and pickles on a ciabatta roll; tasty, but nothing to get excited about. The roll wasn’t quite as dry as ciabatta can be. ‘Wichcraft is more in the category of an infrequent«yeah, I’ve been there» kind of place than it is an everyday lunch destination. The variety is limited, and while the quality is there, better lunchtime price value isn’t hard to find in Midtown.

I work in the immediate area and when I’m sick of having a salad on my lunch break, I come to ‘Wichcraft. I’ve got to say, their sandwiches are pretty damn good. I usually get the chickpea, roasted red pepper and lemon sandwich. It’s served on some kind of country whole grain. They also have a pretty bangin goat cheese sandwich. I like that you order at the counter and they deliver your meal to wherever you’re sitting. However, the lighting in this location is not the greatest. The location itself is tucked into the corner underground and the low lighting makes it feel more cavelike than cozy or intimate. I doubt I would ever choose this location over the Bryant park spot on a nice day.

The very thought of a ‘Wichcraft sandwich makes me hate the simple turkey, cheese, and mayo that I am currently consuming. Alas, Tom Colicchio has brought one to SF. My boyfriend and I came to eat here after our NBC studio tour. It’s located in the Rockefeller Concourse. Many shops and places to eat. We ordered the warm Roasted Turkey sandwich(complete with avocado, bacon, onion relish & aioli) and the pressed Gruyère sandwich(with caramelized onions). All I can say is. YUM-EE. Who doesn’t love a panini right? And who doesn’t love a panini filled with melted gruyère and loads of caramelized onions??? It’s simple yet sophisticated at its best. The Roasted Turkey was also very delicious. Although I preferred the pressed sandwich over this one. I don’t really like ciabatta rolls because I find them dry. Maybe if it was on a different roll I would have enjoyed it more. Nonetheless, the fillings inside the bread was deeelish!

Erica and I made a quick stop to meet a friend for a bite last weekend in New York. We picked ‘wichcraft since it was Friday and Ross was still working(in the Rockefeller Center). The story behind ‘wichcraft is as follows: Tom Colicchio, chef and owner of the Craft family of restaurants and head judge of Bravo’s Top Chef, founded ‘wichcraft with partners Sisha Ortuzar and Jeffrey Zurofsky in 2003. The three had a long history of working together in fine dining restaurants such as Manhattan’s top-rated Gramercy Tavern and Craft, but this collaboration was decidedly more casual. They created ‘wichcraft, a sandwich service like no other. It was a perfect spot for a mid-day sandwich. Both Erica and I were in the mood for a melted cheese sandwich, especially considering the chilly conditions outside. My choice was the grilled gruyère with caramelized onions on rye bread. It was simple and good, as expected but not cheap either($ 6). Erica chose tomato soup and plain grilled cheese. Again, nothing amazing, standard tomato soup and grilled cheese, as we make at home. I tried and didn’t love the soup, but it’s hard to fully distinguish soup that is made for the masses. Is the food better than Corner Bakery? Absolutely. I can see why there are 14 locations in NY alone, as well as San Fran and Vegas. But most people likely enjoy the idea of eating Tom Colicchio food without taking out a second mortgage, fair or not. And let’s not forget, this all comes at New York prices(~$ 20 for us).
