I love Forrest Gump!!! I work across the street but I have yet to try this place because it’s always packed. They don’t take reservations and they always have a long line in the evenings! Starting at like 5:15pm.
I finally came for lunch on a weekday and it wasn’t busy at all. Walking into the store was so cool, all the decorations were exactly like those in the movie. But when I look outside the window and see the busy streets of Time Square and snow, it hits me that I had to go back to work:(
This place is a little pricy. They don’t have a lunch menu. Everything on the menu looked amazing and huge but in reality the food sucked and didn’t look appetizing at all.
I would say this is a place more for tourists, or a one time thing. It was definitely an experience if you’re a fan of Forrest Gump, but don’t have high expectation in the food.

If you want to waste 2,500 calories in one sitting, come to this death by food restaurant. Food was tasty, especially the shrimp Mac and cheese but the shrimpers heaven, I could have passed on. Strawberry basil lemonade was a plus and I could drink those all night! Other than that I don’t think I would come back. Not worth the money to me. Then again I don’t prefer chain restaurants.

Visiting New York for a few days and decided to try Bubba Gump Shrimp at Time Square. Myself and a friend were seated at the window so we got to see the excitement of Time Square. I ordered the Cajun Mahi Mahi with grilled shrimp and mashed potatoes. It was Tasty. The fish wasn’t as spicy as it was described to me but that was ok. For dessert I ordered the sampler which consisted of strawberry shortcake, bread pudding and cookie sundae. The strawberry shortcake was really good but I didn’t get enough strawberries, the bread pudding was good but I didn’t care for the cookie sundae, (no particular reason) I would go back.

First thing you should know about this place is that every dish includes shrimp in it. I love shrimp, so this wasn’t a problem. However, for people expecting more of a variety of seafood — this isn’t the place to come too.
Next off, this is a tourist attraction. Like the majority of the restaurants in Times Square — it is for show, not great food. This restaurant is based off the classic movie, Forest Gump. Everyone loves Forest! The theme of the restaurant is based around the actors in the movie, significant details that happened and fun facts. There is a gift shop, décor all over the walls and the movie is playing while you are waited to be seated. The décor and atmosphere was fun, which earned one of the two stars I chose to give. The next star was based on service and the view. If you are seated by a window, you will be overlooking Times Square. I am not a tourist, but the view is amazing. (Even I have to admit) The location of this restaurant is perfect and breathtaking. Also, the service was good. My waitress was nice and quick. No complaints.
Now, for the bad part… the food. The shrimp at this restaurant was frozen (big disappointment). After leaving this restaurant with my boyfriend, we compared it to an Applebees or Fridays — where the food is edible but you don’t really care to come back. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi dish. The shrimp was pretty good, but the Scampi sauce had no flavor. It tasted bland and had a bad aftertaste. My boyfriend has the Shrimp Net (something like that) which had a variety of different shrimp with fries. He wasn’t impressed. The cajun shrimp was gross and tasted cheap. Not like authentic seafood. The only good thing were the cocktails we ordered. They weren’t bad.
Overall, I would suggest skipping this place. Besides from the décor and view, the food was a big disappointment.

Came here with a new friend. Had all kinds of shrimp and also a calamari… Shrimp especially was good. The drinks too were great! I had the Corinarita — and yes it came with a Corona sticking out upside down!

I ate here last night, 01/​01/​2016 (Happy New Year). I enjoyed the food and the service.
My kids had the «Lil’ Forrest’s Favorite Fish & Chips». The food came in what was a model of boat. In the back of the boat was fried fish and french fries. In the middle of the boat was tartar dipping sauce. In the front of the boat was red Jello and a slice of an orange. They loved their food. However, I tried ordering a kids drink for them from the kids menu, but was told the machine that makes the smoothie-​like drink was broken. So they had apple juice.
As for me, I had the «Shrimp Shack Mac & Cheese». It was okay. I found it to have just a tad of spice, which I wasn’t expecting. But other than that, I liked it. As for the main dish, I went with the «Shrimp New Orleans». The shrimp and the sauce it came in was great. It also came with a small portion of rice in the middle of the plate. I enjoyed it all. I didn’t have room in my tummy for dessert. However, I ordered the «Lava Flow» cocktail. But I was told the machines were not working for that drink either. So I had a regular Pina Colada with rum.
The ladies room was clean. The overall appearance of the restaurant was excellent. The wait may take a while (I waited about 50 minutes for a family of five). There is a crowd to get in the place, and everyone was observed to be patient. Although there is a crowd to get in, the list was moving fast. My expectations were to be waiting for about two hours to be seated, but I was told I would be seated within 45 – 55 minutes. and they were right.

My friends and I came here to celebrate a dear friend’s birthday. Bubba Gump was her choice and we happily obliged. This was my first time visiting Bubba Gump and I didn’t really know the history behind the restaurant name until I entered the restaurant.
As soon as I walked through those doors, it felt as if I was in a movie. Everything reflected around the Forrest Gump movie. There are two levels to this place, on the first level is where you place your place to patiently wait for your name to be called for a table because there are no reservations taken here at this restaurant.
There is also a store on the first level that sells practically everything centered around the movie. There are quotes, sayings and signs posted throughout the entire store.
The wait for a table can be very long or very short depending on the flow of the patrons. The waiting area can get really crowded because it isn’t a large waiting area. Okay so our party of three is finally called after waiting for over forty-​five minutes for a table… yippeeeeee!
So we proceed to walk upstairs to be seated but no that didn’t happen, you STILL have to WAIT again to be seated. We were on another line for about 10 – 15 minutes. Finally we are able to rest our feet and prepare to enjoy our dining experience.
We had an AMAZING and FUN server named Mario who was very energetic and friendly. He explained everything that we needed to know to make our dining experience a wonderful one. He suggested menu items to us that we’re really good. The food was great… the only complaint that I had was with the garlic bread not tasting like garlic bread at all. I expressed my concern to Mario who had no problem removing the item from my bill.
We sat and talked for at least 45 minutes after we finish eating and not once did anyone asked us to leave which was definitely a plus. Someone who I believe was the manager came over to our table after about 30 minutes and asked if we wanted some more water. Overall my first time was AMAZING and I will definitely come back to dine here and you should too if you haven’t dined here yet.

Pure deliciousness. Some type of seafood trio plate with delicious white wine sauce. (see photo) While visiting New York we came here two nights in a row. Drinks and service all good.

Loved the cock tails there! Especially the corona margarita! Loved it! It was quite awesome basically two drinks in one!
A shame the food was quite average and pricy. As expected from a chain store. Any how, certainly recommend to go have a look if you have never been, of if you are a fan of Forest like I am!

Restaurante inspirado no filme Forrest Gump, que serve refeições com frutos do mar, bem procurado sempre terá uma fila de espera, mas vale a pena aguardar um pouco sim.
O ambiente tem uma decoração muito bacana, uma bela vista para a Times Square, a comida é deliciosa e o atendimento é muito bacana.

The atmosphere of Bubba Gump is very relaxed and comfortable! I had the stuffed shrimp, which at first glance was a small serving size, but actually ended up being more than satisfying with portion size. The seafood hush puppies were great too!
The only drawback was the price, which was a bit steep for me. My entrée was over $ 20, but the most unreasonable cost was my soda, which cost $ 4.00. Cost can be overlooked when it’s a special occasion, and the food was very filing, so I would still recommend this place to anyone!

Bubba Gump é um restaurante temático e sim, bem turístico. Justamente pelo fato de ser turístico, vá sem pressa e preparado para pegar fila à espera de uma mesa. O tempo de espera pode ser tranquilamente aproveitado na loja deles, ótima para comprar presentes para amigos que curtem Forrest Gump.
Quando fui ao restaurante, foi no último dia de viagem e em ritmo de despedida. Talvez isso tenha deixado a experiência ainda mais especial.
O ambiente é leve, divertido, os pratos são realmente muito bons, o cardápio de bebidas é bem variado e fácil de agradar qualquer pessoa. Mas o que realmente me surpreendeu foi o atendimento, fomos muito bem atendidos.
O preço do restaurante foi um pouco mais caro do que o que gastamos, por exemplo, no restaurante italiano Carmine’s. O valor por pessoa ficou em $ 35.
Vale a pena conhecer =)

Went for lunch while I was working for Korean Cultural Festival at Times Square in October 2015.
To exhausted because of so many visitors at our booths and cold weather and we wanted to have a short break here while eating lunch.
We ordered Caesar Salad with Cajun Shrimp and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with Jalapeño as well as draft beer on their signature glass!
The portion of salad was huge enough to feed two of us and I liked it a lot. But everything was too salty and we had to drink lots of water after all.
I always think this place is a nice spot for tourists since you can see the view of Times Square while eating and it is not always packed so that you don’t have to wait on the line. Not for sure if you are a New Yorker! Haha, just a decent franchise place in that area I guess.

Muchos dirán que es el típico lugar «trampa para turistas» y seguramente hace parte de esas listas de lugares para evitar cuando uno visita NYC. Para mi fue una suerte de espectáculo; no soy fanática de la película Forrest Gump y es sabido que todo restaurante cercano a la zona de un monumento o sitio muy concurrido será de precios elevados, comida meh y nada buena y solo querrán sacarte los dolares del bolsillo.
El sitio está hermosamente decorado con todos los detalles de la película, es más en el «lobby» de espera siempre hay una tv con Forrest Gump día y noche.
Hay que anotarse al llegar, siempre está lleno y hay que llenarse de paciencia.
Cuando te llaman subes al primer piso donde te dirigen a tu mesa y la mesa tiene cositas lindas para mencionar: unos cartelitos que sirven para llamar a la moza, para pedirles algo.
Run Forrest significa que la moza del sector debe acercarse a tu mesa y preguntar si necesitas algo.
Pedí camarones (obvio) con rebosado de coco y una salsa dulce que aun no logro descifrar que sabor era y diré que era una fruta salvaje como el mango (?), estaban ricos, eran abundantes y quede llenisima. De bebida podes pedir smoothies de frutas (lo cual hice yo) y por unos dolares más quedarte con el vaso que es un lindo souvenir para alguien que le guste la peli.
Si, hay sitios mejores para comer, pero como turista almorzar en Bubba Gump fue una experiencia que si bien no la repetiré si viajo nuevamente a NYC pero que es en si una atracción mas de la ciudad.

Good experience… quick service, nice waiters, tasty dishes! We had Shrimps New Orleans & Texas Cajun Chicken Sandwich… both very good! Fair prices… Recommanded

If you can put aside that the food will be pretty bad/​frozen/​reheated, and focus solely on experience and service, it’s really not a bad place.
Oddly, there’s always a wait to get in, but that can be alleviated by joining the Landry’s Select Club, which bolts you straight to the top of the stairs to be seated almost immediately.
Every staff member was super excited and pleasant to be around. They were engaging with the guests and seemed to elicit a pride in working at such a gawdy attraction.
The place is wildly expensive, easily $ 20 for a basic entrée, and $ 40 for one person dining. Saving grace is that there’s a good chance you leave happy, either enjoying the experience of jumping into such a unique piece of Americana, or you get sarcastic laughs at the craziness of the totality of the whole experience. Either way, I can’t help but return to this place everytime I’m in town. Perhaps it’s the fact that they always have a table for me, never a wait for a table, and always a friendly server.

Restaurante situado en Times Square! Es una franquicia! Se supone que es el Restaurante que siempre quiso tener Forest Gump en su película! Me sorprendió muy gratamente: comí una hamburguesa con patatas fritas y estaba muy buena! El precio de la hamburguesa ronda los 12 – 14 dólares (a parte la propina)!! Debo decir que el servicio es rápido y agradable! Así que… si te gustó «Forest Gump», te gusta la originalidad, y te apetece comer una buena hamburguesa, este es tu sitio!

La déco est top… La vue superbe, la nourriture bonne… Une halte vraiment sympa!!!

There’s fried shrimp, fried coconut shrimp, fried coconut shrimp with fried french fries, fried coconut shrimp with fried french fries with a citrus marmalade for dipping… there’s even non-​fried shrimp in the shrimp boil and they were all really good. The people here were as friendly as momma promised. Thankfully no one was shot in the but tox during our meal.
Only great movie references, a smiling waitstaff, and surprisingly decent seafood. Grilled Mahi didn’t have shrimp in it, but was still good. Life is full of surprises and I certainly didn’t know what I was going to get when I walked into this Times Square institution.

Just had my first visit. Wonderful place to unwind or pre-​game for walking around Times Square. Seating was under 20 minutes on a Saturday, but my cousin and I opted for the bar, which was even quicker. Drinks were super tasty but sneaky! Plus we received a free cup. Food was even better as well as service. Music at the bar was on point too lol. I’ll definetly be back for more.

I am a fan of Forrest Gump, so eventually I made my way here even though I knew it would be a bit pricey and probably not house the best seafood. it’s times Square… you’re going to overpay for food. However, it was still a nice experience. There are signs on the table you can flip from «Run Forrest Run» to «Stop Forrest Stop» if you need anything, and one of the servers will stop. A much more efficient way to get a refill than waiting for your server or awkwardly trying to flag another one down.
There was a special featuring three of their grilled options (shrimp, fish, and a skewer of shrimp and veggies) and a combo of fried food. My boyfriend and I got one of each and split in order to not go overboard in calories. Fair warning – most everything here is high in calories. We both preferred the grilled food over the fried food, although the French fries had a nice spice on them.
Major con: the waitress asked if we wanted to start off with garlic bread and then we were charged for it. What restaurant offers bread then charges? Either mention it costs money or don’t offer it. Was a bit ticket off by that.
Also had the Alabama Brownie, which was very rich chocolatey goodness. It’s not a place you are going to keep well on a diet, but every once in a while we need a cheat meal.

I love Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. I’ve been to numerous locations from San Francisco to Maui to London, and all have had great service and good food. The NYC location is no exception.
I came here on an early Tuesday evening for dinner, and there was no wait. I was surprised because it’s located right smack dab in the middle of Times Square.
Once getting seated my waitress stopped by my table to let me know of their new specials and take my drink order. She was very friendly, but I did feel like she was pushing their specials too much. They were more expensive than most of the menu, so I think that’s a bit shady. I ordered coconut shrimp, a salad, and some hush puppies to go. The shrimp was crispy with real coconut flakes. The shrimp came with fries and they were ok, not great. Their hush puppies are amazing! Melt in your mouth good. My total bill was around $ 35 for one person, not including tip. It is a bit pricey, but I feel like the great service made up for it. My waitress was very attentive the whole time bringing me drink refills and making pleasant conversation.
Eating at a chain restaurant in NYC may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I still think that Bubba Gump is a great option if you happen to be in Times Square and you’re looking for some place with consistently good food and fast and friendly service.

Restaurant à Times Square, donc le soir il y a beaucoup, beaucoup de monde et du coup il faire la queue pour aller manger, nous y sommes allés le midi et avons facilement trouvé une place.
J’étais un peu sceptique au départ, mais tout était parfait, tout d’abord le décor, tout est soigné dans le détail, c’est vraiment chouette de se retrouver dans l’univers de Forrest Gump.
La nourriture, les crevettes étaient EXCELLENTES, je vous recommande les crevettes panées.
Notre serveuse était géniale, vraiment à nos petits soins et très sympathique. Un super endroit, on y retournera!

Es un buen restaurante, quizás un poco recargado de frituras para mi gusto como latino, pero se come bien y en un buen ambiente. En cuanto a la comida el mahi mahi que es un pescado tropical es muy bueno al igual que los camarones y centolla que te lo puedes comer en distintas preparaciones, recomendable … Pero para no hacer dieta… Jejeje.

We decided to grab drinks and a quick bite here before going to see a Broadway show.
They are located in the heart of Time Square, do your best to score a window seat. You’ll have the best view of Time Square while sipping on a drink or having a yummy appetizer.
I’m literally a fan of their sangria and coconut shrimps. Yummy!!!
Overall a relaxing environment and affordable place for the location.
The staff were friendly and on point, we didn’t have to utilize their «Stop Forest Stop» sign that often.

Ambientação típica do Alabama. Comida excelente! Atendimento excelente, muito atenciosos! As lemonades são deliciosas. E o coconut shrimp é obrigatório! Vale a pena!

Lugar bem turistão localizado na time square! Eu adoroooo! Haha as entradinhas e os pratos principais focados nos camarões! Adoro pedir o shrimp heaven de entrada e de prato principal o accidental fish & shrimps!

Prix: Correct ($$). Comptez 12 $ les entrée et 23 $ les plats.
Note: A faire une fois pour voir ! en plein Times Square mais c’est un restaurant très touristique.

Si hay algo para decir de Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. es que tiene toda la onda. Esta marisquería pop existe gracias al universo de la mítica película Forrest Gump y este local temático se basa en todas genialidades que proponen imitar a ese film: Menú en forma de raqueta de ping pong, carteles alusivos en todos lados y como es de imaginar todo el merchandising imaginable sobre el restaurant.
Por cierto, hay que decir que la comida no es nada económica, pero sí bastante rica y la verdad que la experiencia realmente vale la pena. Por otro lado, parece loco y el sitio menos pensado, pero en Bubba Gump tomé el mejor mojito (uno de mis tragos favoritos) que probé en mi vida.

Pese a ser un restaurante temático sobre una de mis películas preferidas la comida pues ni fu ni fa. El local es bonito, enorme, acogedor pero la comida muy grasienta y poco atractiva.

Wir kennen diese Kette bereits auch San Francisco und waren damals begeistert. Hier in New York waren wir etwas enttäuscht. Das Essen war nur lau warm und geschmacklich auch nicht wirklich frisch.
Dafür sind die Preise überirdisch… Also wirklich teuer. Und wir mussten über eine Stunde auf unseren Tisch warten.
Naja, insgesamt eher enttäuschend. Machen wir nicht noch einmal. Dann besser direkt zu «red lobster». Ist nicht weit weg (auch am Times Square) und deutlich besser. (Wenn auch nicht unbedingt billiger…)

Endroit correcte, j’ai été en mai 2013, le service est quand même rapide et on a pas eu de problème avec la commande, les serveurs était enjoué, et connaissait leurs affaires.

Dem der schonmal Forrest Gump gesehen hat ist der Name Bubba Gump ein Begriff. Als ich das Schild am Time Square sah dachte ich nur — lecker Shrimps — da muss ich hin. Gesagt getan. Es war eine riesige Schlange, die ich glücklicherweise umgehen konnte da ich allein war und kein Problem damit hatte an der Bar Platz zunehmen. Super, da ist man ja gleich an der Quelle.
Das Restaurant ist rustikal mit Holzmöbeln eingerichtet. Der Service mega freundlich, die Karte angenehm groß. Ich verbrachte erstmal eine gute halbe Stunde damit zu überlegen was ich denn nur essen soll, es klang einfach alles so lecker. Die Informationen in der Speisekarte beinhalten auch die Kalorienzahl pro Gericht — da sollte man lieber nicht hinschauen ;-)
Ich entschied mich für eine Art Long Island Icetee nur auf Bubba Gump Art (das Getränk war 0,5l leuchtend blau, schmeckte schön nach Wodka), einen Eimer Shrimps Cajun Style (die wurden im Metalleimer auf einem Tablett mit Zeitungspapier serviert, dazu gab es eine Rolle Küchentücher, man konnte sich wunderbar einsauen, schön mit den Händen essen, große klasse: D) und eine Vorspeisen-​Kombi mit Shrimps auf 3 Arten paniert mit 3 verschiedenen Saucen (z.Bsp. Kokospanade, Chilidip, Mango-​Dip…) und Pommes. Alles super lecker!!!
Zum Getränk bekam ich noch einen Gutschein für das 0,5l Glas mit Bubba Gump Logo, das ich mir originalverpackt im Restaurant eigenen Shop abholen durfte. Der Shop war genial, jede Menge Werbeartikel (Caps, Tshirts Gläser etc.) mit dem Logo, ein kleiner Automat in dem man Pennys mit dem Logo pressen konnte und der Clou für mich kleine Plüschkrabben — geschält und ungeschält. Knaller!
Leider entdeckte ich den Laden erst am Abreisetag, sonst wäre ich sicher nochmal hingegangen.

une adresse très très touristique, avec des références au film un peu partout. la nourriture y est bonne sans être extraordinaire, l’ambiance plutôt familiale. le service y est excellent (anglophone uniquement). Ce n’est pas le restaurant du siècle mais si vous voulez passer un bon moment en famille c’est une bonne adresse. Je vous recommande la Margarita (petit modèle) très rafraichissante avec des crevettes frites.

C’est plutôt mon conjoint qui voulait essayer ce restaurant, mais j’ai bien apprécié l’expérience. Les crevettes et les fruits de mer sont à l’honneur. Les portion sont généreuse, mais ma soupe «clam chowder» étai tdécevante. Il y avait plus de pomme de terre que de poisson et peu goûteuse. Les crevettes pop corn à essayer et le plat Shrimp New Orlean est à essayer. Les épices de la sauce sont à mourir! Si vous êtes assis près des fenêtres vos aurez une vue magnifique sur Time Square.

Sympa un restaurant dont le menu est surtout constitué de crevettes. La spécialité de la maison est vraiment délicieuse. Vous né ressortirez pas le ventre vide de ce restaurant.
En plus, pour les fans du film «Forrest Gump» cet endroit est un must. Le décor est fabuleux. Les serveurs sont très aimables. Si vous êtes assis près de la baie vitrée vous avez le droit à une belle vue sur Time Square.
Faites juste attention à né pas arriver en pleines heures de pointe… il y aura surement de la queue.

Meine Mann mag am liebsten die Stuffed Shrimps mit garlic bread und fries!
Die Hush Browns sind auch klasse!
Wenn es nicht so weit weg wäre und so teuer in die USA zu fliegen würden wir uns das öfter gönnen!

Jedes Mal wenn ich in NYC bin, muss ich zu Bubba und das nicht nur einmal. Ich finde das Restaurant, direkt am Times Square, klasse.
Die Franchise-​Kette basiert auf dem Kinoklassiker «Forrest Gump» mit Tom Hanks in der Hauptrolle und entwickelt einen Teil des Handlungsstrangs um ein Shrimp-​Restaurant, welches Forrest und Bubba im Film eröffnen wollen, weiter.
Das Restaurant, welches im Film nie Wirklichkeit wurde, da Bubba zu früh verstarb, gibt es nun in der Realität.
Eingerichtet ist es wie eine Fischerhütte. Vertäfelte Wände mit unzählichen Untensilien aus dem Film zieren die Räumlichkeiten. Szenenbilder und bekannte Aussprüche von Forrest sind an die Wände gemalt. Alles sehr verspielt und niedlich gemacht.
Auf dem Tisch stehen zwei Schilder auf dem einen steht «Stop, Forrest, Stop» und «Run, Forrest, Run»! Diese kann man benutzen, möchte man jemand aus dem Service anhalten. Das klappt auch perfekt.
Stichwort Service! Dieser ist meist sehr aufgedreht. Amerikanisch eben, aber dabei total fröhlich und freundlich. Gerne wird auch zwischendurch mal ein Forrest Grump Trivia gespielt.
Das Essen kommt meist relativ zügig und ist super lecker.
Geschmacklich bewegt sich das Bubba Gump zwischen Burgern, Salaten und Fischgerichten. Gerade letzteres wird großgeschrieben. Shrimps und Lobster gibt es in allen Varianten und Kombinationen. Aber auch der Fleisch-​Fan kommt nicht zu kurz. Die Portionen sind gut und das Preis-​Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.
Für Dessert-​Fans eröffnet sich bei Bubba aber der Nachtisch-​Himmel.
Meine Favoriten sind der Alabama Mud Pie. Eine riesige Eisportion als Pie gestaltet. Oreo-​Boden, darauf Schoko und Vanillieeis und dazwischen Karamellsauce. Sahne und Peanuts oben drauf und Karamellsauce als Krönung. Das ist sensationell und für sich schon eine komplette Mahlzeit.
Zweiter Tipp ist der Cookie Sundae. Hier wird eine kleine Pfanne serviert, in der ein großer, warmer Schoko-​Cookie liegt. Darauf zwei Kugeln Vanilleeis mit Sahne, Schokosauce und Nüssen. Einfach nur WOW!
Es kann sein, das zu den Hauptzeiten eine kleine Wartezeit einkalkuliert werden muss. Da man sich aber diekt am Times Square befindet, kann man diese gut überbrücken. Der Name wird am Eingang notiert und man bekommt die ungefähre Zeit mitgeteilt, wann man wieder da zu sein hat.
Jeder der New York besucht, sollte wenigstens einmal zu Bubba Gump gegangen sein.

À chaque fois que je crois un Bubba Gump je sais tout de suite où je vais manger! Ce restaurants sont toujours bien placés (vue imprenable, au cœur de la ville) et les plats sont toujours un régal! En entrée tester le cajun shrimp (très épicé), la salade caesar et la limonade aux fruits rouges. Vous pouvez prendre n’importe quel plat les yeux fermés ce sera toujours un succès! Boutique de souvenirs très sympa aussi!

Von der Idee her ganz originell und eine wirklich tolle Hommage an den Film Forrest Gump. Praktisch das gesamte Restaurant ist mit Requisiten, Fotos, Andenken, etc. vom Film dekoriert. Service und Essen sind ok, nichts allzu besonderes, aber solides amerikanisches Junk Food eben mit einer leichten Schlagseite hin zu Meeresfrüchten (wie der Name des Restaurants bereits verrät) etwas nerviger sind die doch mitunter recht langen Wartezeiten. Es gibt keine Reservierungsmöglichkeit mit direktem Zugang zum Tisch. Man muss sich stattdessen unten beim Empfang anmelden, bekommt einen ungefähren Zeitslot genannt an dem man wieder da zu sein hat und danach gehts ein Stockwerk höher in den Restaurantbereich. Allerdings wartet man dort auch nochmal eine gute halbe Stunde (jedenfalls war das bei uns so) in einem bereits dafür vorbereiteten Wartebereich. Da kommt einem die ein Stockwerk unten genannte Uhrzeitsangabe dann doch etwas komisch vor. Aber sei’s drum, nettes Lokal in bester Lage. Für einen nostalgischen Ausflug in die Forrest Gump Welt allemal zu empfehlen ;)

Ein Muss für jeden Shrimps-​Liebhaber.
Nette Atmosphäre, flinke Kellner und angemessene Preise.
Liegt direkt am Times Square, also sehr zentral.
Das Themenrestaurant ist recht groß, man findet gut einen Platz.
Ist auf alle Fälle mal einen Besuch wert.
Ich hatte einen Shrimpscocktail, der echt göttlich war.
Sollte es mich mal wieder nach New ork verschlagen, komme ich gern wieder.

Wer in New York ist und Shrimps, Fisch und Meeresfrüchte mag, der sollte auf jeden Fall bei Bubba Gump essen gehen!
Ich war dort schon drei Mal und es hat jedes Mal sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Konzept ist witzig, der Service sehr nett und man bekommt, auch ohne Reservierung, recht schnell einen Platz. Ich habe verschiedene Shrimps ausprobiert und alle Sorten waren sehr lecker.
Die Lage des Restaurants ist super und wenn man einen Platz am Fenster bekommt, hat man (besonders abends) einen tollen Ausblick auf das Lichtermeer am Times Square.

Shrimps, Shrimps, Shrimps!
Direkt am Times Square, man bekommt aber gut einen Platz. Ein nettes Themenrestaurant, dass man sich bei einer Städtereise ruhig mal ansehen sollte.

Shrimps satt sehr gut in der Qualität und in meinen Augen im Preis-​/​Leistungsverhältnis. Wer keine Shrimps mag findet nicht in rauhen Mengen, aber er findet Alternativen fischiger Natur.
Nachtische riesig und nach den rech großen Hauptgerichten.
Ambiente mit Original Gegenständen aus Film Forrest Gump ganz nett. Gut auch typisch America auf Show gemacht, aber mal was anderes.
Fazit: in allen genannten Punkten zu eine klare Empfelung von mir.

Situado en Times Square, el sitio turístico por excelencia de Nueva York. El restaurante hace honor a la película Forrest Gump y está decorado con elementos y guiños a la película.
La comida está bien. Muy ricas las «cajun shrimp» unas gambas con salsa picante. Buenas ensaladas, aunque quizá un poco más caras de lo normal. Y aunque las hay mejores, la tarta de lima está buenísima.
Recomiendo reservar para no aguantar casi la hora de cola, que suele ser lo normal… Está un poco saturado

Genial, comes mucho, el servicio super rapido y una amabilidad que aquí no conocemos.

Wir lieben Bubba Gump und haben vorher extra gegooglet, wo wir eins in NY finden. Da wir ein Hotel direkt um die Ecke hatten waren wir am ersten Tag direkt dort und natürlich auch noch einmal am letzen Tag kurz vor unserem Abflug.
Wir hatten beide male Glück, so dass es erst nach uns voll wurde.
Das Essen ist klasse und auch wir wünschen uns diese Kette nach Deutschland.
Fazit: Super Essen, Super Service-​immer wieder gern!

Schade, dass diese Kette nicht nach Deutschland kommt, ich würde zum Stammgast werden.

C’est pour fuir l’épouvante d’une nuit d’Halloween en plein Times Square que je me précipitai à l’intérieur de la boutique «Bubba Gump» qui se trouve juste à côté du mythique «Hard Rock café «.
Bubba Gump, c’est la célèbre marque de crevettes de Forrest Gump, le héros éponyme du film d’Allan Silvestri qui bouleversa les années 90.
Ce restaurant à thème joue donc sur le registre des répliques cultes du film «maman disait toujours…»…Partout, des panneaux «Run Forrest run !!»…
Une serveuse blonde déguisée en troll sexy arrive en courant à ma table et couine d’une voix stridente
–Hi !!! I’m Brittany but you can call me «Britt» or «my lovely princess» !

Entre les cocktails à 9 dollars à base de rhum cajun et les plats de crevettes à 1200 calories pièce, c’est, bien hésitante, que je commandai un brownie en dessert qui arriva à ma table servi par un zombie .
Bön, j’ai bien ri, j’ai bien bu et bien mangé (merci piti Jésus) mais le Bubba Gump, c’est le show time à l’américaine poussé à outrance qui s’invite à votre table et dans votre assiette et qui vous donne juste envie de vous lever de table et de :
RUN FORREST RUN !!!

Tolles Restaurant direkt am Times Square.
Natürlich voll mit Touristen. Wir mussten ca. 30 Minuten auf einen freien Tisch warten, wurden dann aber mit der typisch amerikanischen Gastro-​Kompetenz bewirtet. Das Essen ist absolut lecker und die witzige Atmosphäre tut ihr Übriges.
Wir haben dort zu Abend gegessen und eine Freundin hatte Geburtstag. Das wurde dann vom Kellner laut publik gemacht und der ganze Laden sang ihr ein Geburtstagslied. Witzig und ungezwungen. Die Preise sind natürlich den Touristenmassen angepasst.
Ein Besuch lohnt sich!

Es gefiel uns auch hier sehr gut. Es gab eine Warteliste in die wir uns eintragen ließen, und da in NY das Gesetz herrscht das man nach dem Essen an die Bar geht, dauerte es auch gar nicht lang. Wir bekamen eine Tisch mit Fenster Mein Mann aß die Früchte des Meeres aus einem Eimer mit Lätzchen, das war lustig Da mein Körper leider mit allen Schalentieren auf Kriegsfuß steht vergnügte ich mit Rippchen, waren auch lecker. Wer ein wenig Show und Erlebnis mag ist dort gut aufgehoben, wir hatten sehr viel Spaß mit dem freundlichem Personal, und es hat uns rund um gut gefallen.

Die Lage ist perfekt, am Times Square, New York.
Die Gerichte sind groß, wohlschmeckend und (!) kalorienreich, da meistens fritiert.
Die Atmosphäre des Restaurants ist eine Homage an Bubba aus dem Film Forrest Gump. Somit ist alles, obwohl der Ursprung der Kette Bubba Gump nichts mit dem Film zu tun hat, auf Forrest und Bubba ausgerichtet. Daran sollte man sich nicht stören, ja man findet es sehr amüsant.
Die Preise sind akzetabel für Meeresfrücht, aber teurer als ein vergleichbares Restaurant, dass keine Meeresfrüchte anbietet.
Zum Shrimp-​Essen ist dieses Restaurant perfekt.
