Great spot but bad service. Took a long time to get food and they totally forgot a bagel sandwich. We had to wait an extra 30 minutes for it.

Ate here yesterday and love the bagels. Fresh and soft on the inside. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

My favorite bagel place. I won’t say they’re the best in the city but they’re very good and they’re the kind I like — small and dense rather than huge and fluffy. The cream cheese is excellent, I’m not sure what kind they use but it’s much more creamy and flavorful than other places. The pumpernickel is really pumpernickel, strong rye flavor with seeds and everything. The coffee is also better than it has to be. If all you want is a bagel and coffee this place is just about perfect.

I’m so happy Daniel’s exists and operates a clean breakfast/lunch operations. It reminds me of a LI/SI neighborhood deli. Pretty good bagel/breakfast spot for a couple reasons. Lots of variety. Many breakfast and lunch options. My friend got lox and cream cheese on a($ 10.95). I got a very basic two eggs on a roll(~$ 3.50). Tasted great. They have lots of flavors of cream cheeses and meats. They have seating to take your order to stay. You won’t be there long because the sandwiches are tasty and you’ll gobble them up.

I come here a lot because of the proximity to my apartment. The people that work there barely speak English, so it can be really difficult to order sometimes. They also don’t accept credit cards for less than $ 10 orders, so bring cash. The cream cheese is great, the bagels are average for NYC.

The coffee is watered down. Terrible customer service(not the owner but his workers). Go to sarges down the street instead, friendlier more homey environment. Also forgot to mention everything is overpriced

Ok bagels. Decently fresh. Ok cream cheeses. Terribly stale cookies. Yummy fresh bread on the weekends. That’s really all there is to say about this place.

Amazing bagels! Small shop, can be easily missed! But the fresh bagels are so good for a byte or two in hurry! Perfect for NYC lifestyle!

I’ve given this place a shot twice and both times I’ve been let down by the bagles. The first time I had an everything bagel that had a laughable amount of everything seasoning and the second time I had a cinnamon raison bagel that just tasted weird. Their bagels are tough, dry, and sadly just not the best :(

Great bagels but service is atrocious. I asked for a large green tea to accompany my bagel. The man gave me a large Lipton regular tea. When I repeated that I’d like a green tea, he huffed off and replaced the tea. However, it wasn’t until I got to my hotel that I realized he’d given me large styrofoam cup filled with milk with a green tea bag. Infuriating!

Stopped in here last Saturday morning to get my bagel fix before heading to a movie. It was a quite underwhelming. I had the nova lox with cream cheese on a toasted poppy seed bagel. The nova was excessively salty and was not as melt in my mouth as I expected it to be. The bagel itself seemed a bit underdone compared to other bagels I had — since it was less gold brown and more of a pale beige color. My bf had the sourdough bagel, which when isn’t toasted tasted a bit stale. The scallion cream cheese was good though! If you’re looking for great bagel and lox, I would recommend Zuckers a stone’s throw away. They also seemed to be having a lot of trouble with their cc machine, which didn’t bother me because I wasn’t in a rush. If you’re in a rush, you should probably pay cash.

It’s a small bagel shop from the outside but has loads to offer on the inside! Huge range of sandwich fillings on offer, then you get to choose you bagel I had the turkey because mostly because it’s the day after Christmas so I was feeling festive Now the staff showed great patience because it was a hard choice with some many lovely and delicious options on offer There are some sweet pastry and muffins also on show for those with a sweet tooth Would certainly drop back in if I found myself in that part of nyc and wanted a bagel

Stopped by Daniel’s Bagels on the way to work yesterday and I’m really glad I did! I normally stop at another bagel place down the street, but I decided to try something different. I had been to Daniel’s before, but didn’t really remember my experience. I ordered a whole wheat everything flagel and it was delicious! Really made my work day/Friday get off to a better start. I’m excited to have a new breakfast spot on the way to work.

I discovered this unassuming bagel shop while going to NYU hospital a few years ago. Every time I have a doctors appointment(which I dread), I cheer myself up knowing I can stop at Daniel’s bagel afterwards for a treat. My favorite here: sourdough bagel with baked salmon salad. It’s PERFECTION for the tastebuds!!! I like that their bagels are the perfect size and not the huge oversized bagels that is popular in New York City nowadays. It’s not all about size! Their bagels are always fresh and each bite is a heavenly burst of flavor. It’s so good, I don’t want it to end, but the smaller size of their bagel is perfect because it leaves you wanting more, not overstuffed and uncomfortable(yes, I am an adult who eats to the point of being overstuffed and uncomfortable on a regular basis when I find good food, which is often, because I LIVETOEAT).

If you live in the eastern stretches of Murray Hill in the upper 30s, Daniel’s is your best bet for a casual carryout weekend breakfast. Bagels are extremely fresh, with ample spreads available. I’ve tried most of their smoked fishes and can vouch for the salmon, sturgeon, etc. Egg on bagel is solid as well.

My one and only bagel place. Every time I return to NYC, I make it a point to get my everything bagel with cream cheese and lox or the hearing spread with a plain bagel. I also bring back 2 dozen bagels(all kinds) back home with me. Cant wait to return for more!

I was hungover & hungry. I read a review that they were good for bagels. I was nearby. I went for a multigrain bagel & decaf coffee. No unnecessary chatter from the staff. I was satisfied.

A few weeks ago, I received a calendar invite from my HR department that there would be an office breakfast today for staff to meet the summer interns. I was excited. We get to meet new people AND eat breakfast – those are two of my absolute favorite activities. I purposefully went to bed hungry last night, saving up some calories so I can indulge in today’s bagel eating festivities. You can imagine the disappointment, and anger, I felt when I walked into the room and saw what was unmistakably Daniel’s bagels. The outsides of the bagels looked so crunchy – the insides so dense – the holes so large. Why?! Why, HR??? Why would you do this to me!!! Why would you promise me bagels and then give me this?! Silently wiping a tear from my eye, I begrudgingly took a bagel. I thought about the importance of open-mindedness. Things change, bagels change, I change. I’ve grown a lot in the two years since I last had a Daniel’s Bagel. I started liking Indian food – maybe this would be like Indian food – maybe I would try it and suddenly wonder how I ever lived without it! After spending approximately 30 seconds chewing the first bite of the bagel, I contemplated quitting my job. I love my organization but I just don’t know if I can work for a place that supports such horrible bagel making. It goes against my core beliefs.
