El Barrio Hardware

This is a shockingly large hardware store so in the words of Sweet Dee «It really has an a$$ on it». The guys running it are super friendly and seem to really enjoy helping customers which is a great change from the Home depot that I once lived near. We just needed keys so in the 10 minutes waiting for the few sets we ordered, we go to explore. They really do have tons of stuff including random kitchen items you may not think you need until you see it. Pots, pans, rice cookers, Brita filters, then of course the usual tools, paint and spackle. Anyway, we ended with a conversation with the guy behind the counter where he even mentioned they have a locksmith if we ever need it. I’ve yet to lock myself out but it is nice to know they are available. Now I know where I need to go if i ever have a DIY that I need to accomplish.

I love this hardware store. They always have what I am looking for, and if I don’t know what I’m looking for the staff go above and beyond to help me figure out what I need.

The place has a new look. The staff is first class and always so helpful. They take their time to explain anything you may need help with. This place truly does have everything for all your home repair needs. El Barrio Hardware, has a customer in me for a long time to come…

My mother has been sending me to this hardware store since I was a pre-​teen. They’ve always been personable and able to answer any and every question I’ve had.
Although, it’s a cozy spot they have everything you could possibly need for your diy home repairs and needs. The prices are always reasonable and it’s the only place I’ll go to have copies of my keys made. Need a fragranced floor cleaner? No problem! They have that too!
There’s no need to go to a big box hardware store chain when you have family run businesses in your neighborhood that strive to service you, the customer, as opposed to the tool of the moment. An added bonus is the intimate level of customer service you receive by virtue of being a loyal customer… or in my case a longtime customer who’s been on hiatus but has put together a string of returning visits while sprucing up a bit.
Absolutely a go to destination; there should be more!
