Saw hells belles… a riot. I loved every minute… go see it

Small theater space that has short run plays. The current production of hells belles was a musical review and was very entertaining. On Saturdays they have a 5:30 show so you can sandwich in between the 2 or 8 o’clock shows. 90 minutes of fast paced entertainment. All boogie stomp is at same theater and highly recommended

I won two tickets to see the off broadway show, «50 Shades! The musical parody» and took my mom. Of course since the tickets were complimentary our seats were all the way in the back, last row LOL. We didnt complain since they were free but we did ask the usher if we could move up since there were a lot of available seats closer to the stage. That usher walked us right to the first row, woo hoo. The theater is really small and initimate, however the seats were comfortable and I think it helped that it wasnt packed in the theater. The staff were cool and friendly. They had a cool bar and lounge area to chill. There were a few big wall posters that you could take pictures which we did. Overall the theatre was cool and I would definitely check out another show here again.

It was a small theater with comfortable seats that had actual leg room, decent air conditioning, some sort of laser light show happening in the ceiling and despite the fact that I was way in the back as a result of 20at20 tickets, I still managed to catch all the cogent points of what was happening on stage. There was a bar directly to the right of my seat and there was more than one alcoholically content housewife in the audience before «50 Shades! The Musical» commenced. Given the chance, I would return since at no point did I feel like my knees were hitting the bottom of my chin during the show.

Intimate theater with seats that actually has leg room and a cup holder for your drinks!

This is a very small venue that brings you close to the stage with a great view of the cast. I was surprised when we got there and it was in an obsure place on the 2^nd floor, but they had it set up pretty nicely with a large bar area to get drinks prior to and during intermission of the show.
This was my first time in this theatre and the people working there made it quite enjoyable. It may be small and out of the way, but they made up for it in how they presented themselves and the show.
My wife really wanted to see the show that was here (50 Shades of Gray the Musical Parody), it was great, we laughed tons and was worth the money to see it.

So if one is active on the Broadway scene they would know normally how tight is the leg space at most the theaters in NYC. But Elektra theater beats a lot of other theaters in that section. The seats were comfy with plenty of leg space i did not feel cramped while sitting (which is normally the case).
The staff was also very helpful. They have a probably one the biggest bars inside which I have seen at an theater, so one spend plenty of time drinking while waiting for show to begin.

Small theater but really a cool spot to see an off-​Broadway show. Just saw 50 Shades! The Musical here, which was hysterical by the way, and was kind of impressed with this small intimate theater.
Full bar and spacious lounge area, artwork on the walls, nice staff. The actual theater seating is so much better than the more glamorous ones over on Broadway in the fact that there is actual legroom here! The seats are comfortable and more like movie theater seats. There are cupholders at each seat! They welcome you to bring your drink with you to your seat. Gotta love that. Plus, it seemed as if the drink prices were a little more reasonable compared to other theaters that serve alcochol.
Bathrooms are on the small side as with most of these places. Street level entrance but then you have to walk up a few flights of narrow stairs to the actual theater level. The cast came out afterwards to meet and sign autographs and take pictures with those that hung around. Woud not mind seeing another performance here.

Thanks Unilocal for the tickets. Theater is not that bad. Cool place. Not as tight as I expected. But once you sit down it’s best you stay seated especially if your in the middle seats. Got tickets for free and excellent seats. 4^th route in the very middle.
Came to see 50 shades the musical.
The show was actually pretty nice. Definitely one worth paying for if did not get free tickets. Fun cast and a very nice selection of songs.

I watched a bartender serve 3 blonde women and as my boyfriend and I walked up to get help he all of a sudden was no longer working yet still behind the bar. He was having a conversation with a woman who was sitting. He has on all black a beard and a ponytail. We had to wait for another bartender to help us. And as soon as we finished our transaction he began to rinse glasses. Oh so now you’re on duty??? Never again!

I came here last June for «Silence! the Musical.»
The décor of this place is rad. Skeletons hanging from chains on the walls, candelabras full of melted candles, cobwebs, coffins, hanging cages, creepy statues… it was right up my alley.
It wasn’t hard finding the theater space. The staff directed me to where it was when I asked.
Theater is small but not uncomfortable. Show was good. Didn’t go to the bar, so I can’t comment on that.
Overall good experience.

A small comfy theater that has drinks you can consume while watching funny plays like 50 SHADES!

I love Elektra Theatre! Great place to see a show!

Came here for «Silence! The Musical» last weekend. No major problems but we didn’t know where the heck we were going until other people joined us. I was glad we didn’t have to wait out in the cold for the show; they have a nice bar inside with seating. I’m sure the prices are abominable but we didn’t look since we were only there to see the show. I reviewed the show elsewhere but as for this venue, it was not bad. Our show also started a little later but maybe about 10 minutes tops as opposed to 30.
Staff was polite & didn’t make you feel like an intrusion or potential criminal. Theater is small but not overly cramped or bare bones like some places. I’d consider booking an event here if the price were right.

My girlfriend & I just saw ‘Silence! The Musical’ at the Elektra Theatre at Times Scare. Although we enjoyed the show, it started 30 minutes late, with no explanation given as to why. We see a lot of both Broadway and Off-​Broadway productions, and have NEVER had a show start a half hour after it was scheduled to. We, among other patrons, were getting rather upset, and a couple of people walked out before the show began. We’re glad we stayed, as the show was unique and different, but our experience was very sub-​par. We asked a manager at Times Scare afterwards what the problem was with the half-​hour delay, and he said he didn’t know, as he said Times Scare rents their theater to the Elektra Theatre company and he didn’t know what the problem was. In fact, people coming in for the next performance, the nightly magic show, were upset as it was starting late due to the late start of ‘Silence! The Musical’. So, unfortunately, this will most likely be my last time checking out their theater company.
