Madhu’s Eyebrows

Definitely nothing fancy about this place, but for an $ 8 eyebrow threading it is perfectly fine. They were quick and did a good job. No complaints.

Quick. Cheap. Efficient. Neat. Clean. Great with eyebrows and waxing. Perfectly located in a busy work area and is open till 9pm. Highly recommend.

I decided to try this place since it’s close to work. Never again. The woman did a horrible job with my eyebrows. She had no idea what she was doing — I kept trying to get her to fix it, but then realized that was pointless. Definitely go elsewhere.

This place is right around the corner from my office and not far from my apartment. I’ve been here several times and had pretty good results (though never quite as good as Thread). After today’s experience, however, I’ll never go back. I walked in around lunchtime and the place was empty and the one woman was on the phone. I told her that I wanted my eyebrows and lip done and sat down. I FULLY expected her to end her phone call before starting, but that didn’t happen. She stop talking into her headset for a few seconds, which made me think she hung up and just after getting started on my eyebrows she started talking again. At this point, I was really nervous. Who talks on the phone while threading your eyebrows? I didn’t know what to do though because I didn’t want to upset her while she was doing my eyebrows either. After moving to my left eyebrow, I felt MANY hairs get yanked out. I thought it couldn’t be good. Sure enough, when I sat up, she had yanked out half of the end of my left eyebrow. I told her this was unacceptable and first she told me she was just cleaning up what I had and didn’t do any shaping. After I said this was not the case, she then told me I had ingrown hairs… Might have been nice to know BEFORE she decided to just yank out half my eyebrow. She offered to make my right one match, but I thought that was a ridiculous proposal and left without paying. I’ll never go back.

My experience with this place has been great! It’s the closest one to work, the ladies working there are very sweet and gentle with threading. I haven’t gotten any waxing done yet but so far my experience with threading has been great, service is good.

I am a regular at Madhu’s Eyebrows. Although they seem to have a high turnaround of employees, I have never walked out unsatisfied.
These ladies have a good grasp on eyebrows.

not bad, not bad. $ 7 threading across from my office – i’ll take it. they always do a good job (but they are a little rough… which some people are into, so rock out). no frills spot.

Nothing to write home about. The space is cramped, the women aren’t friendly, but they do how to shape a brow. My frequent visits are based on convenience to my office, not of sheer love and loyalty.
Perhaps I’d like it more if they smiled some.
Blah at best.

I have never posted a review but I was so infuriated by my experience at this poor excuse for a business that I had to warn people. I have been going to Madhu’s for the past 2 months since it is so convenient to my office. I have never been particularly impressed with their work or service but it was convenient and did the trick until last week. I was getting my arms waxed and the lady dropped wax on my dress (before I had a meeting and dinner party to attend). She attempted to clean it up but only made it worse and had the gall to say that it was my fault for not telling her to put a towel on my lap. I then asked to speak with the owner on the telephone multiple times which she was not keen to let me do. She then started gossiping with her co-​worker in front of me regarding what to do. The co-​worker said, call the boss and tell her what happened (your side of the story). She proceeded to walk outside the store and call the boss and left a message for her saying she was charging me half price. I should not have paid anything but did not want to take advantage of the situation. I gave her a larger bill than what would amount to half price and she kept it. She thought I had not heard her on the phone and probably would have pocketed the difference. I demanded my change and told her it was unacceptable for her to try to cheat me. At this point, I was very angry with the situation. Her co-​worker proceeded to shout at me saying I was disturbing her customers and that I should never come back to their shop. Needless to say, eyebrow and waxing places are a dime a dozen. I will NEVER return and strongly suggest you do the same.

Have been a reqular customer for my eyebrows ever since they opened up on 45^th. The new girls are professional and do an excellent job with my Eyebrows. Last week i tried their 20 minute summer facials, and it for 20 bucks it was the best deal. worked great! they girl did a fantastic job and I was in and out in half hour with a great facial, eyebrows and small chatter…

Ugh. I’m gonna have to find a new place for eyebrow threading in midtown. The women before had the worst customer service skills, but at least they did a good job. The women there now are very nice, but totally butchered my eyebrows.
Maybe I should’ve taken the fact that no one else has reviewed this place as a sign???
