This chain (not just this location) is totally gross. It absolutely has no flavor to it at all. I ordered a vanilla CONE and made sure I said cone many times, but the guy put it in a cup. I know i was being a brat, but I was totally in the mood for a cone. So i was pretty annoyed already. So I start to eat it, and I can’t even tell if I’m actually eating it or not because there was no flavor. I had my friend try it and she said the same thing. I just threw it away because if i’m going to put calories in my body, I want to at least be able to taste something! If you want some excellent frozen yogurt (that actually has a flavor to it), go to Red Mango.

Okay, I thought I’d give this place another chance, but it still didn’t do anything for me. I had a vanilla and coconut «frozen dessert» that really tasted like chemicals rather than actual food. I can appreciate the fact that these are low calorie, low fat foods, but it bothers me that it’s a «frozen dessert» — it’s not yogurt, milk or cream — what is it??? I’m just a little scared.

I’m sorry… I gave this place a few chances, but I just don’t think it’s very good. I can understand if you want a low-​fat dessert, you’d go for something healthy, but this just not that great. I’d definitely recommend frozen yogurt at least, but not this stuff… it’s not very good and there’s not much satisfaction after you’re done eating your «frozen dessert».

I have to admit that Tasti’s vast array of ice cream flavors, including coconut coffee bean, vanilla marshmellow, raspberry chocolate truffle… and more, are impressive. However, I’m not a fan of soft serve ice cream. Frankly, soft serve is actually an injustice to ice cream, in my opinion.
As far as «soft» serve is concerned, Tasti’s is okay, though i’ll never go out of my way to get any. I’ll stick to Ben & Jerry’s Mint Chocolate Cookie or Chunky Monkey from Pathmark.

This place is CRAZINESS! My friend took me while in NYC… she ordered some peanut butter brownie ice cream (to tell you the truth I don’t even remember what it is that she ordered, but I am trying to make a point!) When she got it, I took the ice cream and stared. Where was the peanut butter, where was the brownies? Apparently, there are no chunks or swirls in Tasti D Lite… They are too good for those things. They make the fat free ice cream TASTE like whatever flavor it was. Willy Wonka… I think that you just got served,

The last time I had the dumb idea to get a Tasti D Lite, within five minutes of eating my cone my stomach exploded in pain and cramps. I had horrible diarrhea in a nearby bathroom, got on the L train and nearly passed out halfway home from the second wave of cramps.

Filipinos from the East Coast always have a way of hookin’ me up. *wink* *wink*.
When I see a fellow Pinoy, no exchange of words are necessary. We just do this nod – acknowledging that we come from similar ethnic/​cultural roots. This nonverbal exchange loosely translates to mean, «I’m gonna hook you up, dude! You could be my cousin! I got you, coz we family!» Then they give me more generous portions than what they usually serve to other customers… ohhh yes.
I didn’t catch his name, but my Dutch Chocolate Tasti D-​Lite was tasty and D-​liteFUL! What a perfect late evening snack after enjoying a Broadway show.

Awesome! A little on the overpriced side, but what good ice cream/​frozen yogurt isn’t? The other day I went really close to closing, asked for a small and got something close to a pint for the price of a small, so I’m not complaining.
Some flavors are definitely better than others, I prefer the special flavors, but the vanilla and chocolate aren’t terrible. The dulce de leche is incredible! I felt guilty after eating because it tasted so good, I felt like I was eating something full of fat.

People love this place. I am confused. My oreos & cream was good, hence the extra star, but it’s overpriced as hell. The ambiance sucked, as did the service — and it was hotter inside than outside. The mango thingie I tried blew. And, the french vanilla tasted like frozen milk (not in a good way — like without sugar or flavor), or the base that Jamba Juice uses before they add fruit.

Occasion: Hot Summer Day
Food: I always get the tubes of ice cream to bring home. It’s buy 2 get the 3rd one free! Also, don’t forget to get the punch cards! Basically, most of the flavors taste the same. The only ones that you can really distinguish is peanut butter, vanilla, and chocolate. Everything else falls within these three categories. HOWEVER, this does not minimize my love for Tasti! it is simply a yummy and healthy (low cal, low fat, low sugar, all natural) alternative for ice cream lovers!

What is it about this whipped air that keeps me coming back. If you let the «ice cream» linger in your mouth for a bit the Dutch Chocolate Cake really comes out, even the Peanut butter. This guilt free dessert will do for a little bit, but nothing makes me smile like a good piece of cake.
