Your experience with Dr. Kent and his staff will be a great one, and this is coming from someone who really dislikes going to the dentist. If you are looking for a dentist who wants to convince you that u need teeth whitening and cosmetic work this is not the place for you. If you want an honest dentist who does the work you need then come here. It’s a staff of 3 (dentist, hygenist, office manager) so you get true one on one attention. I grip the arm rests and white knuckle the whole time (even during cleanings) and they baby me. lol.

I finally found my dental care home in NYC! This was the most pleasant dentist visit I’ve ever had. I am so excited and relieved not to have to shop around for a good dentist anymore.
The office itself is very small — just one small room for reception, and two adjoining rooms for the dentist himself and the dental hygienist. Because of this you feel that you are getting complete attention from 3 people at once — unheard of in a Manhattan dentist office. It has the feeling of a family business.
They were ready for me as soon as I arrived, and the receptionist clearly explained all insurance information both before and after my cleaning. I left feeling like I completely understood everything that would and would not be insured under my policy– she even did her own calculations to tell me how much a procedure and follow up I needed would end up costing me out of pocket! Again unheard of in NYC. While I was getting my cleaning, the receptionist printed out all of my insurance information for me to take home and made her own notes so that I would understand everything. Amazing.
The hygienist who did the cleaning was extremely nice and asked me lots of questions about my dental hygiene routine and gave me great tips on how to improve. She was very thorough with my cleaning and I never got the sense that she was in a rush to get me out and the next patient in.
The dentist himself was really nice and honest. This office didn’t try to up-​sell me on anything, which has been an annoying trend I’ve noticed in other dentist offices.
This office made me feel like I was their only client. Whether or not they are booked solid or hurting for business (I have no idea which one) — I don’t care because they definitely know what they are doing and I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

I was thrilled with my experience at Dr. Kent’s office. A friend suggested him for a second opinion as I had been told by my dentist that I needed a complex surgery for a tooth, and of course it was going to cost me about 5k without insurance covering any of it. I went to Dr. Kent to get his view, and he told me that surgery was completely unnecessary, just putting a crown on the tooth would solve the problem. He also took my dental insurance, so my out of pocket costs went from 5k to under 500 total. I was delighted with his service, his straightforward dealings, and his understanding of my not wanting to have any metal in the crown, even though it was his original recommendation. I got the final product put in today, simple, clean, efficient and I’m a very satisifed customer. His office is small and not one of the fanciest places I’ve been to for dentistry, but I feel it lends itself far better to proper client care and ability to maintain a personal relationship with each client that walks through the doors. Highly recommended.

The front desk woman is so nice, she really helps you find out from your insurance company to see what is the best option for you.
The woman who cleans the teeth is another great person in this office she will take her time to make sure eveyrthing is done correctly

This office seems like everyone has been working together for a long time now which shows me they’re very good honest hard working people.
