I came in here, intrigued by the photos Arkady Lvov took during the Venetian Carnival and the five stars are for the gorgeous photos of bejeweled carnival goers decked in the most stunning, dazzling, sartorially splendid costumes I have ever seen. Venetians know how to dress up for a costume ball; forget the Village Halloween parade. The extraordinary costumes there pale compared to the masked living art that are the Venetian carnival goers. Lvov captured images of fantastical masks and incredible beautiful, whimsical, mythical clothing. Good art is provocative, drawing questions. I wondered how long it took for people to make these costumes, how much they cost, whether the protocol was a new one every year? Do you wear your mask the whole day? Is there an unmasking at midnight? I wanted to go to the Venetian carnival after seeing the photos and you will too. Unfortunately, Mimi Ferzt is on the smallish side so you won’t see hundreds of photos. But what you see will be awe inspiring.

A beautiful gallery showcasing Asian-influenced art. Many galleries are rather stoic as people are absorbing the art, but this place was lively and social. There was also a room in the back with red couches fit for mingling. A beautiful place.
