I’ve gone twice at this point and each time I’ve had a good experience each time. This place is great for the price and location. $ 65 for a 90 minute full body and foot massage is a great price! 20 minutes away from me on the R line and open until midnight everyday, I plan on coming back often. Top this all off with the visit 10 times and get 1 free and I’ll be back really soon!

This place has reasonable prices, great service, friendly staff! Will definitely go back!

Got a great 75 min massage for $ 45. clean, quiet, ambient atmosphere. My massage therapist was very skilled, plus the massage tables and face holes are so soft and cushiony, i fell asleep for 5 – 10 min. She was also just very sweet and attentive. I love that they have a point card system and they give a free gift of a bottle of wine to first time customers. Reception staff is so nice, very welcoming too.
Only con is: I walked in without an appointment so I had to wait 10 minutes, but the waiting area is very calming décor and they gave me water while I waited.
If you’re ok with a man massage therapist, there is a shorter/​no wait. There is always someone next in line for a massage — they’re popular bc this place is a great special find. New favorite massage place!

I am seriously into Asian bodywork massages. I’ve received a bunch throughout the city from various types of places and will say that Renew Body & Mind Spa has the most beautiful décor (BY FAR) and a fair price, especially considering how much extra money they put into creating a wonderful ambiance.
Before I entered, I wasn’t expecting much since most bodywork locations in Manhattan tend to lean more bare bones; but, I was seriously surprised. The waiting room, bathroom and massage rooms are all wonderfully put together and clean.
The massage was great too. Really hit all the right spots and was both painful (in a good way) yet relaxing. LOVED that they used hot stones and a hot towel after — you’d be surprised at how many places don’t.
Overall, I would most definitely return and have already recommended Renew Body & Mind Spa to three other people. Best part is if you check in on Unilocal you get an additional 15 minutes free.
My only concern is that the current prices may change after the grand opening. It’s totally understandable because the space looks really high-​end, but I may not become a regular depending on how much the price point changes. Guess we’ll see!

This place was absolutely phenomenal. My boyfriend and I have been searching for a massage place in NYC on the cheaper end and have been unsatisfied with our results after two years of living in the city. That is, until we found this little place! The ambiance is very relaxing and friendly, and they accommodated us by placing us in a couple’s room. We had to 30 min back + 30 min foot combo for only $ 40!
It was our first time, and as we were paying, they actually offered us an entire bottle of wine! That was the real treat at the end. Definitely coming back and will be making this a routine spot to visit!

I scheduled a massage for my fiancée’s birthday. She’s very particular with cleanliness so I did a lot of research and spoke with a few spas before booking here. I didn’t really look at prices when shopping around so it was just lucky that this place is reasonably priced. And, they gave her a bottle of wine to take home? I was a bit confused, but hey, it was nice.
When I picked her up, she was the most relaxed as I’ve seen her in a very long time.

I appreciated the cleanliness, and the entire spa is beautiful. My masseuse asked me whether I wanted it «harder or medium» before she started. I’m happy I said ‘medium’ because this petite lady is pretty powerful and worked out a lot of the knots that have been accumulating over the years. I will definitely be back at the first chance I can get. :)

I’ve been a Unilocal member since Sept 2015 and never had the urge to write a review. Surprisingly, Renew Mind & Body prompted me to be active simply bc it was different than other Asian massage establishments. This place was clean and nicely decorated. I chose the 30min foot+30min back combo to get a «feel» of the service and by the end, wished I tried the 60min back and more. However, my combo service started off with the foot massage then, not only flipped, but had to change sides of the table (I prefer starting on my back then working on my feet and the less movement the better). Also, the walls are thin and the wooden floors creaked, didn’t get a chance to sleep during the 9pm Saturday slot. As I was paying and going over the rewards program, the gentleman asked if I wanted a bottle of wine, not a glass but a BOTTLE, lol. Definitely returning and getting a longer service!

Really thought this place was great. I’ll definitely be back. Was unsure at first bc it was hard to communicate what I wanted. But it was perfect, just what I needed and great value, as well.

This place saved me and my mom after a few days of walking in NYC. I wish I could have thought of this earlier and do this maybe every other day while we were there. It was a good, relaxing massage. I walked out feeling like my legs are alive again and no pain! :)

Simply amazing. Service was smooth, courteous and friendly. Massage room was well-​decorated and clean and fully separated from other rooms. Massage was gentle yet firm pressure at the same time, and they gave me a bottle of Merlot as a gift for being a first-​time customer! Incredible value for the price, and very nice people. I will definitely be back! Also, great to unwind here post-​travel coming into Penn Station like I was today, since it’s only a few blocks away.

My girl friend and I were greeted at the door by a friendly face, asking us how many hours massage we’d like. We entered the space and found it to be tranquil and relaxing immediately because of the soft music and low lighting. There was an area full of inviting recliners separated off with a lovely beaded curtain, presumably for just foot massages.
The nice lady led us into the back where the couples room was. I must interject that I’ve been to my share of Asian massage joints and this one was exceptionally decorated and lit — almost beyond belief compared to the others. Renew has individual massage rooms instead of curtain partitions, and the décor and privacy really set the mood. Usually, at the other places, I just close my eyes and ignore the surroundings, but at Renew, I wanted to look around and take it all in! Also the bathroom was clean and did not double as a storage closet.
I had a very nice lady named Amy who wore a coral colored spa uniform. She gave me 90 minutes of back massage and 30 min of foot/​leg massage, all of which I was very happy to receive. She was strong but none of it hurt. She checked in with me each time she moved to a different place on my body. Granted, I speak Chinese so our communication was easy, but I do believe Amy had decent English as well. The hot stones were a nice touch, too. My girl friend only had an hour’s worth of back massage and she seemed very pleased afterward.
The two reasons that I subtracted one star from the overall experience is because they use baby oil (mineral oil) instead of natural oil. I usually remedy this by bringing my own homemade natural massage oil, which I’m sure they’d oblige to use as well. But I can understand that oils can be costly and for $ 45/​hour massage, it’s negligible. The other reason is that toward the end of my 2 hours, some man started grunting and groaning very loudly. I assume it’s because he was receiving an especially strong massage and was simply vocalizing, but it sounded like he was dying and was disturbing and disruptive. In my experience of receiving strong massages, breathing deeply is just as effective as making a racket, but doesn’t disturb the others.

My husband and I decided to try out this place based on Unilocal review and it definitely meets our expectation. We had couple massage, both Coco and Jenny are great, and we had a new customer deal with a bottle of triple sec :)

My wife and I had walked all over the city and needed some rejuvenation. We each got an hour long foot massage. I was worried that they would be too gentle but the pressure was adequate. This spa offered amazing service at affordable prices. Very professional, courteous, clean and welcoming. We will definitely visit them again soon.

This place is a great find! Definitely come and take advantage of the specials they have as part of their grand opening! I just had the one hour massage ($ 45) and the experience was extremely relaxing and soothing.
I took the advice of other reviewers and booked a massage with Coco. She was excellent! I’m sure the other masseuses are equally professional and good at what they do. The place itself is nice — not a full on spa, but well appointed with relaxing music and lighting and clean facilities.
Bonus: they literally gave me an entire bottle of rosé after I paid as a gift! What a wonderful start to the weekend :)

Renew is located on the second floor of the building, but it isn’t hard to find. I was here today for a 60 minute massage, but got an extra 15 minutes free, because I checked in on Unilocal.Not sure who my masseuse was, but she was fine. I like that they asked if I wanted a man or a woman.
The ambiance is really nice and calming. The bed is cozy, and my masseuse was attentive as well as receptive when I asked her to go deeper. She didn’t speak much English, but it didn’t affect the massage. I told her to go deep in a certain area, which she did, but not for long enough, and not in quite the exact spot. I could have tried to tell her or show her, but I thought she would get to it on her own.
She walked in when I wasn’t under the towel yet, and there wasn’t much respect to modesty and keeping me covered, but I truly didn’t mind. Others may not be comfortable with it, though. She didn’t use any oil until I asked if she was going to– I’m unsure whether she would have used any, as well as if she would have stopped massaging me over the towel if I didn’t say anything.
She worked on me for the whole time, which is good, and there was some light stretching which felt nice. The hot stones are a great touch! They, give you water after, which I like. I wish the masseuse spent some time on my feet and hands, but those were mostly ignored. However, the scalp and neck massage felt good, and everything else was fine.
I would like to go back, and I hear that Coco and Helen are amazing, so I would request them next time. $ 45.00 for an hour or hour and fifteen minute massage is a good deal. It wasn’t the most relaxing experience, as the walls were thin and I could hear background noise and conversation, but I am still glad I went here. I needed it desperately, and left feeling looser and more relaxed than when I walked in. I hope to come back soon!

Without a doubt, my new go to place for a massage. For years I’ve been hopping around from one massage parlor or Spa to the next. All of them are relatively the same, some better than others. So when I decided to call up Renew today to book an appointment, I was expecting pretty much the as the rest. For $ 45 an hour for a full body massage, it was SO much better than the rest.
Let’s first talk ambiance. The rooms were small but nicely renovated and designed to provide a relaxing atmosphere. The reception area was inviting, warm, and relaxing. The ladies were friendly and so helpful. My masseuse Coco, because I had set an appointment, was already waiting for me by the front door on arrival.
Massage. What can I say? I floated out of that massage. Coco gave me the works. I was relaxed in places I wasn’t even aware that I was tense at. She found the perfect balance of holding a conversation without being excessively chatty. Without going into too much detail (you just need to go and experience it yourself), between her technique (she even got my deep muscles), the hot stones, and the oil — I almost fell asleep. The thin walls (I can hear some of the conversations outside) would have been my only con to this review, except halfway through the massage I was honestly so relaxed that I didn’t even notice it anymore.
To summarize: Go check them out. Ask for Coco. For the price, it’s so worth it.

The 3 of us all got body massages and it was amazing. I highly recommend the masseuse Coco. Within the first 5 seconds I could tell that she’s experienced. She’s also very nice and asked several times to make sure I was okay with the pressure.
The space is clean and tranquil, with soft music playing.
Friday’s and Saturdays are their busiest days so come any other day for the best service. Otherwise they are a little short-​handed. If you do come on a Fri/​Sat make sure to call in ahead of time to make an appointment.
They also have the chair foot massage as well.
For the private room massage, they have a couples room or just a private room.
For the body massage, they use oil/​lotion but they will wipe off with a hot towel after.

Helen is amazing! I strongly recommend this place and will be back many times!!!
I only wish I would have known about this place sooner and I would have been here every day. The people are friendly and the massages are fantastic. Go see Helen!

What a beautiful location & place.
Upon entering I was really impressed. I checked in on Unilocal and received the special of an extra 15 minutes in addition to my 1 hour massage.
I opted for the 1 hour massage with the hot stones… It was GREAT!
Cons:
1) They are short staffed (so your masseuse may leave every so often to attend an incoming customer)
2) They are loud. So as your masseuse walks away, they are speaking to one another a bit too loud. :(
Would I return?! Yes…
Would I recommend?! Yes…
