Décor is great, food is ok its definitely not as good as it used to be. Servers can be a little rude.

My go-to Thai restaurant for lunch and dinner. Can’t go wrong with Pad Thai or Pad See Euw. Décor/ambiance is very nice.

Came here for happy hour a while ago. Food was decent, cute atmosphere and it filled up quickly! Which is always a good sign. We ate outside and actually met some cute guys who were eating next to us! Win win.

Modern, beautiful, Asian fusion restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen. We came here for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised with the low priced lunch selections. I got the pineapple seafood rice which was not only delicious, but a large serving. The staff was friendly.

This place is disgusting. I got Roadside Noodles to go and discovered a RUBBERGLOVE in the bottom of the takeout container. I will NEVER go here again and urge you to do the same.

Not the best Thai restaurant in NYC, but if you are in Hell’s Kitchen, this is definitely worth a try. I have been here four times, and all my visits were consistently decent. For the location, the prices are reasonable. Service has always been good for me. From reading the other reviews, it seems that isn’t the case for everyone. I guess I have been lucky. There servers have always been nice to my and my friends and accommodated for anything. The food has always been good but not most memorable. I feel as though a few of the dishes do not have enough flavor which I would expect in Thai dishes. I do like the drinks a lot though! Definitely try those out. As far as interior, as you can tell from the photos, it has a trendy club feel to it. I really like it. I think that is secretly why I do come back to this place time to time. The drinks and the ambience make it a great spot to catch up with your friends or even bring a date. As far as getting really good thai, there are definitely better options out there.

Looking in from the street this place always looks amazing, so we wanted to come here for drinks last night. The drinks on the menu are $ 10+, stating branded liquor(Cointreau, Stoli, etc…), but as we were sitting at the bar I was able to see the bartender make our drinks with well liquor. When I pointed this out to the bartender, she just shrugged and said«This is what we use». So they’re blatantly lying to their customers on the menu and overcharging us. I’ve seen other bars do this, but the other bars at least have the decency to remake the drink with branded liquor once you call them out on their BS. So yeah… definitely do not come here.

The atmosphere is great, the food is okay, and the prices are unbeatable. I got the Penang curry with shrimp lunch special($ 9). I wasn’t a fan of the flavors. My free appetizer was the spring rolls which I definitely wouldn’t order again. Boyfriend got red curry with chicken($ 8) which was very good, but not the best red curry we’ve had. He chose dumplings for his free appetizer, which were also good. Portions were big and we couldn’t finish our meals. Would go back based on how inexpensive the food was.

The eggrolls are delicious. The spicy basil Thai noodles are fabulous! I ate everything on my plate. I tried the fried rice with crispy duck and it was wonderful. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table of 6 on a Saturday night. We waited at the bar. They serve some nicely crafted cocktails, like the Sex in the Bathtub. I would return. We didn’t have any issues with the service. One person’s meal took awhile to come out, but overall it was on point. You cannot beat the prices either. They are very reasonable.

Do yourself a favor and do not order from Room Service. The Seamless delivery took over 2 hours(ordered at 12:09pm, arrived at 2:15pm) during lunch time. I called the restaurant 4 times, and every time the man on the phone put me on hold for 5+ minutes and then gave me an answer(«The delivery man left 20 minutes ago… he should be there shortly!») that proved to be a lie. When the food FINALLY came, it was obviously not warm at all. I also specified«No peanuts» and«Steam tofu, not fried,» but of course they ignored all those. Luckily I don’t have a peanut allergy(I just don’t like peanuts), but this is deadly for those with a peanut allergy. I have nothing else to say about this place other than to AVOID!

For a place with the word«SERVICE» in its name the service was poor today. After a few subsequent visits since my original review its time that I downgrade This places rating. Our server tonight sucks at her job. This became apparent shortly after my party was seated when my friend asked for a Beer recommendation. Her lack of interest or ineptitude to make a recommendation was evident when he was trying to decide what to drink and she had no information to offer to assist him. It was like she was annoyed that we even asked for her opinion. As a server, if your trying to make money you should be prepared to recommend something. This will only make the bill higher which should inflate your tip. In addition to her lack of helpfulness when I gave her cash to pay my check she did not bring my change back. She assumptively decided to keep my change for her tip. I typically tip 20 percent but the change amounted to about 10 percent and I let her keep that with out making an issue but she would have gotten more if she returned with my change. The one food item I ordered was an appetizer with assorted fried items. A couple of these fried items were cold, like they were barely thawed after they took them out of the freezer to fry them. Cold food is never acceptable. Usually I would make an issue with management about each and every transgression I mentioned in this review but I was enjoying good company and conversation and decided not ruin the mood. But after tonight’s lackluster service and substandard food they lost my patronage. It’s a cool spot, but in the restaurant business you have to be on point every time. Tonight they were not.

Pretty good food in the area. The décor is nice if you want to impress your guests. Other than that, I cannot complain. There are just also so many other options in the area for Thai.

I come here for Thai all the time. The Thai Iced Tea is my favorite! I usually get the Thai Fried Rice, Pad Kee Mao, or Pad See Ew. Everything is delicious! Curry puffs, Tom Yum Soup, spring rolls w/plum sauce and the dumplings are sooo good! The décor is awesome and service is pretty good.

Came here yesterday around 8 and was able to get a table for 7 within 10 min. The place had dim lighting and plenty of mirrors and chandeliers as décor. We all ordered a Thai iced tea when we got seated. It was a bit too sweet for me so I added some water to dilute it. The straw they gave was also too short since it kept falling deep into the glass. I ordered the tofu roadside noodles which is noodles with black bean sauce. It came in a very pretty bowl and the noodles were a good consistency however the tofu tasted awful. It was cut pieces of fried tofu but it was very hard and chewy. The spicy squid ink spaghetti was tasted really good but my friend said it got too salty as she kept eating and couldn’t finish the dish. The honey ginger porkchop was very flavorful and tasty. There was also a lot of meat so it waa fulfilling. Another person ordered the lychee Siamese duck which was too spicy for my taste but the pineapples were delicious. This dish came with rice. The person that ordered the half chicken said it was very dry however the sauce was very good. Maybe I would come again if I wanted Thai food since it is the most affordable place in that area.

Room service is a really fun, definitely affordable(for NYC) Thai place in Hell’s Kitchen. The look is a cross between an exotic Thai hotel lobby and a cheesy asian nightclub but overall it works. There is a huge chandelier in the middle of the restaurant which at first is odd but overall creates a nice mood. The bar well designed and there specialty mojitos are delicious. The food is a solid 4⁄5 stars. I sampled two different curry dishes and both were flavor and well prepared. The pumpkin curry was a nice surprise as it was very unique and tasty. Wait staff could have been more helpful especially when understanding up-charges for different types of rice which was not explained well. Also, for everyone at our table they stacked our rice on one plate which made it challenging to separate to our respective dishes. However, given its affordability, overall great food and a unique class décor I would definitely recommend Room Service.

Fantastic Thai food! Restaurant is ultra swanky as you expect in Manhattan but the pricing is so reasonable. The chicken fried Rice was mildly spicy and the spring rolls were delicious! So was the lychee tea.

While this was my go-to Thai lunch spot, yesterday’s service was a severe disappointment. After placing my order in at 1pm, I was told that it would be delivered by 2:35 pm. A long wait, but for Midtown lunch hour, I planned ahead. I received a phone call at 2:45pm that my food was not coming due to a health inspection and would be cancelling my order. I understand that things like this happen, but waiting an 1 hour and 45 minutes to tell me that not only my food would not be coming at all is a bit absurd. I will not be ordering from them again when there are so many options within Hell’s Kitchen for Thai Food/Midtown delivery.

Came here on a Saturday night for dinner with a group of 5. There was a wait for a table(about 30 minutes) but they have plenty of seating at the bar and in the front as you wait. We were then seated in a table barely big enough for 5, with very awkwardly low chairs. We had to play a bit of chair tetris in order for the inside person to get into their seat. Once seated, with my legging touching 2 other people’s legs beside of the crampness, we ordered. I got the Penang curry with filet fish. They were so quick with bringing the food out! Which was great, because I was hungryyy! The curry had a good flavor, and the fish was very delicious. I’d recommend this dish and would probably get it again! The service was pretty okay, they were attentive enough to constantly fill our water. They were a little quick at cleaning up dishes before everyone was done.

There are over a hundred Thai restaurants in Manhattan, but Room Service just happened to be a place in Hells Kitchen with over 1,000 reviews on Unilocal,so it seemed like a solid dinner option one night. I came here Friday for dinner with a friend and had an okay experience. The only table available for us was right near the entrance where there was constantly people coming and going. There were always a bunch of people standing a few inches from our table waiting to be seated so that made the dining experience less enjoyable. However, we were welcomed with a surprisingly extensive and inexpensive menu with all different kinds of dishes. For appetizers, we tried the Curry Puff — grounded chicken and potato in yellow curry sauce serve. For the main dishes, we ordered the Pad Thai and Pad See Euw(not very adventurous). The food was decent with that nice balance of sweet and spicy. However, we thought the presentation might be better based on all the pictures on Unilocal. The place is very nicely decorated in black and white and with chandeliers handing from the ceiling. Regardless, the restaurant was very loud and noisy — it was difficult to have a conversation at times without shouting across the table. Tables were tight and close together, and I felt very crowded by my neighbors. The food was good but nothing spectacular. I’ve had a bit better Thai food, but it was still a decent experience. I would I eat there again, sure. But with so many selections in NYC. I’ll probably explore other choices.
