I reluctantly write this review because I would hate for it to get any busier than it already is. Yes, there is always going to be a wait(unless you arrive between 5 – 6)!! but the bar is lovely and big enough to stand with a glass(or bottle) of wine while you wait! They text you when your table is ready so don’t be afraid to head to a bar nearby too! Never fails. Excellent food, even better atmosphere. Wonderful jazz music that you most likely know all the words to playing overhead. Great for a romantic date, group table, anything and everything. My favorite charcuterie spot in the city and affordable bottles of wine. I always bring out of town guests here because it is so quintessentially New York/West Village but not as tiny as most NY restaurants!

Simply amazing! Great food with a fantastic ambiance to match. Some of my favorites are the Brussels sprouts, foccacia bread with truffle oil, and burrata. For dessert the olive oil cake or the small balls of dough(not sure what they are called) are both fantastic. Service has been on point every time we have came. I look forward to coming back in my near future.

came here on a random thursday at 10pm. so it wasn’t packed or anything. CUTESTDECORANDAMBIANCE. cozy and warm and just everything you’d expect from a west village restaurant. We got this fettuccine pasta with light olive oil/lemon sauce(not too sure what was drizzled on it, it was light no cream, no red sauce). The pasta was al dente and had a great balance of flavor, it was quite delicious. the burrata which was very cheesy and could have been skipped, and the focaccia bread with prosciutto, arugula, and fig. fun fact. i dont like the actual fig but i love the«Sauce» that remains after you pick it off. The focaccia bread was just OK, i’ve had better and also it didn’t taste super fresh– you tasted the«bread» if that makes sense. service was nice and those bathrooms were cute. i’d want to come here when I’m hungry next time so i can eat more.

Awful Don’t ever order the warm chicken salad. It has the chicken skin in it. It’s mostly the skin. So gross!

Pretty decent food. Not the best italian I’ve had. I would probably stick with Ristorante Rafele a couple of blocks away. Nice ambiance though.

The dessert was delicious. Lemon ricotta donuts makes me want to kick a baby and summersault over a exploding fireworks. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and fuzzy, and the staff was super friendly… almost too friendly. The bathroom was clean and efficient. The basil was so fresh I felt like I cut it myself. The linguine was the tits and I highly recommend you come in the summer so you can frolic in the garden. I know I wish I did. The light fixtures and chandeliers are creative and the tables funky. If you’re on a 3rd date with someone who hasn’t put out yet, this is a great launching spot for you!

Food was incredibly generic. To steal a pretentious word from foodies, this food was«uninspired». Nothing about it made me think«dang, this is good!», nor was it all together bad tasting. For the price, I’d say this place is incredibly overrated, but more than anything, I’d say it was entirely forgettable. To show you how forgettable: I saw«Rosemary’s» on my bank statement about a week after visiting and had to google it to remind myself that I even ate there. Would I ever go back? With so many options in the West Village, I don’t get why people would visit a second time.

The service is impecable! Attentive and friendly beyond expectation. Food was delish!!! We started out with an amazing plate of octopus salame.(I love ordering items that are not typically found elsewhere). Not disappointed. It was tender and flavorful. On to the main course… Cavatelli was soft and flavorful. My husband had the fish of the day and we split the brussle sprouts in a balsamic mustard seed glaze. SO good… I will have to remember for my next recipe. Portions are slightly small and we could have also had a focaccia. Wish we ordered something more, and not split the appetizer. Atmosphere is perfect and quaint. Decore for Christmas is tasteful and shabby chic.

I came here for brunch with my sister and her friends this morning. The décor is absolutely adorable, and I love that they have a rooftop garden! Truly farm-to-table indeed. It’s neat that you’re allowed to venture up there to check it out. Our food was delicious and the wait staff was lovely. The cocktails, albeit delicious, were $ 12/$ 14 each which I thought was a little steep, but I did enjoy mine — the Rosemary’s Lemon Fizz was incredible and not too sweet, which is perfect for me. My sister ordered one of the panini and this was really our only disappointment: there was hardly anything on it, it was mostly the bread. For $ 14 I’d expect a little more of what is IN the panini. For the 7 of us, our bill came to $ 264 pre-tip. Like I said, pricey for a brunch and the amount of food that was on the plate, but it was delicious and came from the rooftop garden.

My best friend and I’s place. When I say, «dinner at our place?», she knows. Rosemary’s. Tried and true. Just realized that the chef comes from all of my favorite places(Babbo, Lupa, Eataly…). Something about the carbonara that is just… it reminds me of L’Artusi’s spaghetti but much more reasonably priced. The al dente is perfectly to the tooth, the focaccias are all amazing, tonno, steak and crispy potatoes, they are just all heavenly. I would say skip the desserts; there’s a ton of dessert places you can go to in the West Village; just focus on the savory. I HATE going to the same place in Manhattan more than twice but this is the one go-to that I’m not afraid to go to over and over again.

White people eat this place up, and it’s hard not to see why. The night scene is, well, scene-y. Most of the people here are decked out in pencil skirts and super high heels to hang out at a mid-tier Italian restaurant, which is pretty confusing to me, but who am I to say anything? Regardless, when it comes to my opinion on the place. I’m weirdly right in the middle. I’ve been for brunch and for late pre-dinner drinks, and I have to say, both times, the vibe was pretty nice, the space is huge(especially with the second floor, and certain dishes were pretty on point, but as a whole, the experience fails to convince me to recommend Rosemary’s over other places in Greenwich Village. The focaccia is pretty good here, but it doesn’t come free. The eggs benedict is pretty sub-par and hardly worth a look, while the eggs with prosciutto and oyster mushrooms was actually bomb. The Brussels sprouts are pretty well roasted, but the balsamic on top was drenched on top and definitely overkill. In all, the food just really lacks consistency across the menu, which is a shame. Prices overall aren’t too bad, but as I mentioned, the quality of food overall doesn’t really match up to the price. The service and the front of house are remarkably attentive, but hardly warm at all. I’m not saying you have to be the friendliest people ever, but I feel like it’s important for guests to, more or less, feel at home. When we were seated, the hostess just turned around and left us. Also, our waitress left us the check, before we even asked for it. I get that it was busy, and I would expect that maybe in Chinatown, but not here. Not a good look, brah. You can get a decent meal here, but you have to know what to order. I just don’t like tiptoeing around the menu, so I can’t say I’ll be back again on my own accord. In all, you should come here if you’re all about the scene, and if you like being seen. Sorry, I’ll show myself out now.

If you are looking for a great option for breakfast in the meat packing district — look no further — this is the place to go. Amazing food, great service and the coffee is quality. Coming from Melbourne AUS, I can tell you that it’s hard to find good coffee here in the States, and these guys nailed it. Great breakfast special as well, $ 25 for a huge breakfast including eggs any style, coffee, fresh juice and a pastry. Add to this an amazing décor and set up, and you have a truly great dining experience. I will be back.

I had heard a lot of talk about Rosemary’s and was excited to see if the restaurant lived up to its hype. I arrived around 8 pm on a Saturday evening with no reservation, and was told the wait would be about 30 – 40 minutes. We were seated within 20 minutes, which was a great surprise. When I first arrived, I was really taken by the atmosphere of the restaurant. Bustling but not too loud, busy but not packed, dim but not dark… it was ticking off all the right boxes! I was really impressed with how reasonably prices everything was as well. I loved everything except the focaccia bread. I’ll start with that-we ordered the rosemary and sea salt focaccia bread as an app, and though I was into the light and fluffy texture, it had very little taste. This did little to deter my excitement for my main meal though, which lived up to my expectations. I ordered the Rosemary’s chicken and my friend got the fusilli alla napolitana with a side of roasted brussels sprouts, and everything was delicious. Our waiter was really well informed about the menu and answered our questions with ease. Another woman kept discretely stopping by to make sure our water glasses were full. I never felt like we were kept waiting. Overall, I had a great evening here and will definitely return.

I have passed this place many times and I have always wanted to go in and give it a whirl !!! So I did, I had the Calamari and shrimp with the mozzarella caprese. I thought it was okay. I was not impressed. I enjoyed my company the most at this spot. The staff service was very good.

How good was our meal here? Halfway through, my husband and I agreed that it would serve as our anniversary dinner(when our anniversary was still a week away). We just couldn’t figure out how we would ever improve on it. A lot of the beauty of this place is the atmosphere, which is rustic and sophisticated at the same time. The service is similar: unpretentious but completely professional. It’s a winning combination. We started with some pillowy focaccia, fresh tomatoes, and the creamy burrata – all straightforward renditions with terrific flavor. Ordering the chicken entrée might have been a letdown after that, but it turned out to be moist, tasty, and layered over a savory bed of grilled corn and polenta croutons. I tasted the strip steak and it was likewise simply rendered but totally satisfying. The rooftop«farm» was closed by the time we left, but the hostess very nicely let us go up anyway to have a look around. The juxtaposition between the gigantic sunflowers and the surrounding buildings is Rosemary’s in a nutshell: the perfect synthesis of city Village and country village.

Went here with a group of my work colleagues last night. Lovely ambience! the focaccia with truffle was to die for, as well as the burrata. I’d go back for those alone! Our table ordered pasta — I tried a bit of the cabonara which was delicious. I regret not ordering it :(I ordered the linguine vongole which was tasty(more subtle than the cabonara) but I had to add chili flakes and oil as it was a bit dry. We ordered the hazelnut mousse(YUM), little dusted sugar doughnuts which were literally melting in my mouth in a good way, tiramisu(was ok), and olive oil cake(a bit on the sweet side). I still think the appetizers were the highlight of the whole meal. The rooftop garden is also adorable and work a sneak peek — and some Instagram pics!

My 2nd experience at Rosemary’s unfortunately did not impress. Pros: * Excellent service, décor and ambiance. * Enjoyed the Foccacia Di Recco filled with stracchino cheese, Octopus Salame(basil, sicilian gardiniere and secondi), and Chickpeas And Smoked Onions– super savory and flavorful– could have eaten a entrée sized portion of this. * Loved the Chocolate Hazelnut Semifreddo dessert. Cons: * I would give 1 – 2 stars for the pasta, which I highly dis-recommend. Not only were the portions tiny for the steep prices… my special $ 18 Linguine Vongole and my BF’s $ 15 Orecchiette(broccoli rabe, homemade sausage) were bland and underwhelming. There was absolutely no sauce, oils, or flavor whatsoever. Rosemary’s platform focuses on simplicity and freshness of ingredients, but these missed the mark completely. I’ve had FAR superior«simple» pastas like the Spaghetti Alla Bottarga Peperoncino(Lemon-Orange Zest E Prezzemolo spaghetti alla bottarga chili lemon-orange zest & parsley) at Piacere. Too bad Rosemary’s discontinued the Bucatini Pesto Rosso– that pasta was done perfectly. * Our friend was disappointed with his dry Skirt Steak(crispy potatoes, balsamic steak sauce) * Brussel sprouts was doused with vinegar and was way too salty. Would come back if I felt the urge to splurge on select small appetizers but definitely not on their entrees– which were sorely disappointing.

Very cute, sunny brunch place! I loved the rooftop garden with all the herbs and flowers! You can just walk upstairs on your own to see it and they even have a bench up there you can hang out at to enjoy the view. There was only a short wait on Saturday for brunch and we were able to get a table outside. The service was super nice and gave good recommendations. Fresh squeezed juice is $ 8 which is really pricey. We got an order of the rosemary foccacia bread(breads are ~$ 7) for the table. It was very delicious, I only wish they had given more! I ordered the uovo en purgatorio which is baked eggs with tomato sauce. It comes with crunchy pieces of toast and was such a great combo. Overall lovely place to spend an afternoon with friends!

We are a fan of Rosemary. The seafood paella is pure amazing. I licked the last bits up. We ordered simple salads the second time, not a huge fan for that. Little dish there looks yummy too. But you gotta know what to order.

Looking for a picturesque, idyllic place to have brunch on a sunny day in the West Village? Look no further than Rosemary’s. The past weekend, I swung by Rosemary’s for brunch with a friend. We had sparkling wine cocktails and sat outside in the sun. People watching was in full swing and the weather was beautiful. Food is also excellent. I’m glad that their brunch menu contains things other than the gamut of egg entrees and French toast. Instead, Rosemary’s boasts a modest selection of pasta entrees as well as two or three more substantial entrees, including a tender and juicy roasted chicken and a grilled salmon served over a fennel slaw/mash. The battle over the lines and waits are another story. Not one time have I come to Rosemary’s and been seated immediately, and I’ve heard«at least an hour» from the hostess at least twice before. Bar seats are first-come first-serve and are equally fought over. I recently sat at the bar and placed a bag on the bar seat next to me for a friend who was walking over from the subway. A man and his wife eagerly eyed my extra stool and asked the hostess to come over to relinquish my single chair. But if you are patient and have a few glasses of wine, the pain of waiting will be dulled ever so slightly. Lovely.
