Best service with a smile and price, I have ever experienced around Fremont Newark and union city … Tommy Tran is always extremely polite, greets with a smile, unlike many other Smog Check places I have been to. His waiting room needs a bit lessening of stack of magazines!!!
There are 3 similar Smog Check places on the same strip so … pass the first one — he is next …

New housing has completely hidden the shop. It is very hard to find, but worth looking for. $ 40 dollars. I have a VW diesel and other shops wanted between $ 60 and $ 90. The owner is a delightful man that knows his business and performs it swiftly and professionally. For a smog test I highly recommend using Newark Smog Check Center. This is the kind of business you want to see succeed. I highly recommend it.

This is the far better option than the one two blocks down the road. The fee is $ 40 INCLUDING the certificate. Down the road might have a better waiting area but you’ll pay nearly double for their paint job. We were in and out in 15 minutes, thanks to it being right after school on a week day. If necessary, chill return without a second thought. I’d recommend them to my bff and my worst enemy! GO HERE!!!

I will always recommend this place to anyone in need of a smog test asap. The owner is very helpful and he knows what he is doing. If you do not pass the test, you can trust he can tell you why and what to do next. I have been bringing my car here for years.

What can I say?!! Simple, easy and a very down to earth mechanic. DOING a smog test was smooth. Sat there reading all the fashion magazines and before I knew it, it was done. He charged 40 dollars and there was one guy before us. I dint mind the wait as long as the job was done. All in all a pleasant experience and there’s nothing they can do better. So yey, 5 stars!

Pulled in on a Saturday at 3pm and no wait at all. So I asked if I could get a smog check today and the mechanic said yes. Very happy and nice old guy did the smog check for $ 40 as advertised by others on Unilocal.
Would definitely recommend and will be bringing our cars here for any smog checks in the future.

In and out in 20 mins. Everything came out to $ 40. No appointment. Luckily I was the only one there. Came here because I needed a STAR station to smog my car.
Best way to get here is through Timber St. instead of Cedar Blvd. Newark Smog Center is in the middle of the whole warehouse complex, pass Mexi Can Auto Repair shop (lol).
I exited back onto Cedar, which was a mistake because the road was made of wet gravel with a dip in the middle. Next time I would just exit back through Timber St.

I called and was able to drop off the car without an appointment. The operator of the business was very considerate of my time and worked fast on the car ahead of me. The cost was a total of $ 40 and I would definitely recommend anyone to him.

I took called here for her smog check, down the street from my office and just $ 40 out the door, I hoped in Lexie and we headed over.
We pulled up and were greeted but a cute smiley older Asian man. Genuinely nice, he greeted us with a grin from ear to ear and he pulled her into the garage.
The location is hard to find, you need to turn in on cedar and pull to the back suites. People !!! Listen up. Don’t leave bad reviews based on the location and you don’t know how to use a gps or building signs !! Tsk tsk.
The service and price were excellent. Service was outstanding. Lexie is ready to go now, so my review ends here
By the way, I will be bringing all my work vehicles and refer everyone here to this kind man !

Small place with just the sole proprietor running the shop. Smog test only. He seems like a nice, honest, hard-​working guy.
$ 50 for an older SUV is reasonable. I’ve been to shops where they try to tack on costs afterwards. No here.
Small waiting room but it’s clean. Visa and Master Card only.
