Brent’s Carpet One

We wound up using Brent’s Carpet One twice within a very short time period! We finally re-​did the flooring in our house, and then bought the home we had always admired down the street and did it all over again.
We were very well treated by David and by the installation crews on both occasions. In both cases we replaced some carpet with hardwood flooring and the rest of the carpet with new carpet. The hardwood installation crew did an excellent and very professional job and the flooring itself is very nice. The new carpet in the new house was a very good deal, on sale, and is a huge upgrade and again the installation crew was pleasant and professional and did quality work.
In addition, we had some issues with the timing at the end of the escrow period on our purchase and David was somehow able to accommodate a last minute change in closing date and therefore access with grace and a minimum of sweat (at least from the client’s perspective).
I highly recommend Brent’s Carpet One in Newhall. It’s probably not the least expensive option, but there are choices for a wide a range of budgets, and everyone is professional, easy to work with, and does a great job.

These guys are great! They know their products and give fast, friendly and valuable advice, and their prices seem competitive too. David helped us find a beautiful matching carpet for our slate and hardwood stairs and closets and the whole selection and transaction process was completed in less than 30 minutes. We weren’t sure what would complement the slate risers on the stairs and provide good contrast (for safety) and his advice helped make us more satisfied with the final result than we expected before deciding to carpet.
The installers, Navi and Nacho, that arrived to prep the stairs & floors and lay the carpet were also fast, friendly and proficient experts in the business. We’re so pleased with the workmanship of the carpet, the quality of the installation and the aesthetic appeal of the final product, we would gladly recommend Brent’s Carpet One to our friends and family or anyone else.

David at Brent’s was great. After another contractor performed major house upgrades that sucked, we decided to fire them and hunt around town for someone we could trust to do the floors right. We loved their materials and their showroom choices. David came out with many of our sample choices and we talked through the entire process. We chose a Birch with aluminum oxide and it is beautiful! We had one glitch with the installer and David got it fixed in one day. Gladly went in and paid in full with a smile on my face.

Ben was extremely helpful when it came time to measure and choose the right fit of carpet for my families needs. We talked a bit about my kids and the traffic flowing through the house. He provided durable samples and suggested thick padding for comfort. All of this was well within my budget and they have financing! The two installers were so polite and thorough leaving everything nice and clean when they left. I am thrilled I chose Brent’s carpet and would highly recommend them for your flooring needs!

Had a wonderful experience with David at Brents Carpet. Helped us pick out the flooring– type and color. Listened carefully to our lifestyle so we purchased the correct type of flooring. We have lots of animals so this was a concern.
Installation went great on both the wood floor we installed and the carpet. The workers showed up on time and were very clean.

and assistance Dave gave us. Dave knew just what we needed in quality and he knew exactly what color/​shade was going to work. They kept the carpet for 4 months until we were ready for installation at no charge. He checked in on us often so that we could get the best date for installation. The carpet installers are top notch, they had a lot to deal with as it rained before they could finish installation. Their care and expertise in protecting our furniture and carpet was wonderful. Beautiful experience! After carpet shopping the big box home improvement stores, we checked Brent’s. David was great! We purchased a higher quality carpet… less expensive! From purchase… to install, everything as promised. Very professional! Thank you!!!

Brent’s just completed their fourth job over three homes with us. Working with David each time, we have been very happy with the selections we have made with him. The installers have always shown up on time, been courteous and professional and didn’t leave until they cleaned up and were assured that we were happy with the results.

David help find the perfect carpet for my family and pets. He came to measure the same night. Our only requirement was that it was installed before Thanksgiving, which it was installed within days. The installers called a hour early the morning of install to see if they can come. In return they finished much earlier than expected. The installers did a wonderful job. They left no mess behind. We didn’t go wrong by going with Brent’s Carpet One.

In regards to Ben’s response.
Please take responsibility for the short comings of your employees instead of making excuses. It seems to be a trend, with every «less than stellar» review you seem to make excuses, when all that’s really needed is a simple acknowledgement and understanding of your clients concerns. Not long winded excuses. It simply does not look good on your end.
Regardless of your excuse of what you «say» happened, the bottom line is
we never once met you, you never once called (which my adjuster said you would be calling us and of course, just like your employees never did) you have no idea what you are talking about.
–Please stop making excuses.-
FYI: in response to your statement, the one where you RUDELY implied that we lied and never ended up purchasing flooring because you checked the whole Los Angeles area (which we find VERY disturbing in itself)
Our contractor purchased the flooring for us online. The company’s name is:

They were able to purchase 1500 sq ft
of the same flooring at $ 4.50 a sq ft. Much less than your inflated cost of $ 6 a sq ft.
(There cost $ 6,750… Yours $ 9,000)

In the future may I suggest getting your facts straight before you imply that someone (you don’t know) is lying. Not okay.

You said «we touched a never». Regarding a much lower price my CONTRACTOR found on AmericanCarpetWholesalers? Hmmm, let’s see. It touched a nerve with us when you insinuated we were lying. It touched a nerve with us when we got three different quotes for the same job, it touched a nerve with us when our calls were not returned. It struck a nerve with us when only AFTER we decided not to use your company you came back from a extremely inflated quote of $ 15,500.00 to a drastically low $ 13,900.00 quote in hopes to not loose a sale.
Again, your continued responses are not helping this situation.
To be fair, our original intention when we first posted this review, we thought it was in everyone’s best interest not to name names… That of our consultant from your store, nor the contracting company or any online company we decided to move forward with… You sir, not only called out your own employees name, but also implied that people you don’t even know are liars. Perhaps it is in your best interest to get additional PR training.

First of all, they require a $ 200 deposit (i.e. non-​refundable by definition, but they’ll credit it toward a purchase *IF* you go with them over other flooring places) JUST to come out and take measurements. I assume they do this for everyone, unless they were just singling me out. Not to mention, they did a no call no show on my first appointment, then told me about the $ 200 deposit when trying to set up my second appointment (which they canceled because I wouldn’t pay the $ 200). I was actually argued with when I asked «why would I give you $ 200 before I even know if I’m going to use your company for my project?»
While the couple people I spoke to in the store were friendly and helpful, their foreign-​sounding (boss?) is rude and showed no care for earning my business. He insisted that certain options for my project did not exist even though a quick Googling on my part proved otherwise.
This is a terrible business. I’m so glad they showed their true colors before I had forked over thousands of dollars to them.

David was wonderful to work with. He helped us get amazing carpet in our new hope within 72 hours. The carpet padding and installation was wonderful and problem free! The price was also great!

David helped me pick out a carpet and vinyl for my condo. I thought that the pattern on the vinyl was too large but David was so right. It makes my small kitchen and bathrooms look so much bigger and it goes perfectly with my new carpet and paint. The installation of both carpet and vinyl was such an improvement to my unit. The installers were so professional and neat and each of the jobs were finished in a day. Many of my neighbors had to come over to check the new carpet and vinyl. They love it too! I can recommend Brent’s Carpet to anyone.

Buying was easy as the choices are many. installation team arrived on schedule and ready to work hard. Move furniture? No problem. Wait, I have a big piano. No problem. Three man team picked it up and moved it like it was a feather. Ok, that’s a stretch on my part.
I saved lots of money (yes, I got other bids) and time (they worked with MY schedule not theirs). By the way, the installer was impressed with the quality of the carpet they replaced. I told him I had it installed 25 years ago. He asked, «Who installed it?» I said, «Brent’s of course!»
I strongly recommend Brent’s Carpet One to everyone.

We had a flood in our office and the building used Brent’s Carpet One for the replacement of carpet and linoleum. Don was amazing, we were in a time crunch and he couldn’t have been more helpful. He expedited the order and oversaw the instillation. He helped make a bad experience good. And the work was the best I have seen.

The people at Brent’s Carpet One are friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about their products and design. The store is clean, well lit, and because of its layout it’s easy to see all of the flooring options. They have a kids area too; which made having our kids with us a breeze. We worked with David and he was excellent. He made great suggestions and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Often when guests enter our home, the first thing they comment on is our flooring! Thank you Brent’s Carpet One. We will definitely be using you again in the future and recommending you to all our friends!

Very disappointed in Brent’s! I was so happy to find a local small business that has been serving Santa Clarita for years and really thought I’d be re flooring my home with them, but their employees do not care about their customers.
I got a bunch of information from David and he was originally very helpful, but we made an appointment with him to come measure my home so we knew how much flooring we needed, base decks, etc. and he never showed up! I rearranged my work schedule so he could come out at 9 am and waited until around 10 am before calling the store after he didn’t show up or call to say he’s not coming. I talked to David and he said he has been doing this for so many years that he didn’t need to measure and then threatened that if we didn’t put a down payment on carpet that we were looking at (considering, not definite on) he would sell it! Why the heck would I put a down payment on carpet, or anything for that matter, if I don’t know how much it’s going to be or which flooring I wanted?! I had gotten two completely different estimates from him when I told him approximately how much space I needed covered which is why he was coming out to get exact measurements.
I guess they have so many customers and have been «doing this for so many years» that they don’t need new customers. David must be on commission because he got very pushy at the end and I guess didn’t like that I wanted to get accurate pricing and not get screwed.
Ended up going to Wicalls and had an AMAZING experience! Got to take home samples, take my time, they showed up and were on time, very professional and I had the home town business experience I was looking for. Ended up re flooring my entire home and it looks great and they have many flooring and pricing options. Stay away from Brent’s!
*Gave 2 stars instead of 1 because there were other employees there that were nice and I would only rate 1 star if everything about this place was awful. For example when I called to see why David hadn’t shown up at my house the gal that answered was helpful and got him on the phone for me. Still would never shop there, but 1 star just seems too harsh. One of those things where it could’ve been worse.

Moving into a new house and picking new carpet and laminate can be exhausting. We tried several places from the big box stores and kept coming back to Brents. You cant beat the type of customer service they have. Don was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. He gave us so many options while staying within the budget we had. Their installation crew was unbelievable. Very professional, curtious and clean. When the job was done in the time they said it would be, you would never even know they were at my house. They even mopped the floors for us and helped with getting a stain out of the floor that wasnt even part of their work. If you want a stress free experience and know that you will be taken care of, Go to brents and ask for Don.

Brent’s Carpet one is the best. We had a water leak and the insurance company had Brent’s check our flooring.
Ben and Ryan came out because of water damage to our floors in the kitchen. They sent out the guy to put in the vinyl floor. He did a beautiful job very fast and clean, a few days later the laminate guys came and worked in the rain to finish our floors… Thank you Ryan and Ben for you patience with me and helping me pick the most beautiful easy to clean flooring. We will be back for carpet soon…

Looking for carpet tried Brent’s but did not work out too pushy. Felt pressured.
Tried w/​David but he corners u & pressures. Did not appreciate that.
