The best place for cupcakes and cakes! Simply delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. The frosting on top is amazing.

This is the best cake place in the burbs. The difference between this and some of the other popular bakeries in the area is that this is more modern tastes. I have tried most of their cupcake which are pretty good and recently got the mocha chiffon cake which was excellent.

Cupcakes were really good. I ordered a cake we will see how good that is. They also do fondant cakes any design you want but will take at 3 weeks. So if you want a specialty cake get into order early.

Delicious cupcakes! I got the salted caramel and blueberry and both were delicious. The cream cheese frosting was a little heavy(the cupcakes were starting to fall over) but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. At 2.75 each, I’d go back again.

We got our daughter’s first birthday cake from Le Sucre. They were very easy to work with in terms of designing the cake and provided recommendations on what colors, flavors, sizes, etc has worked well. The cake was incredibly cute and well designed. Not to mention, their pricing was the best out of all the bakeries I contacted. Highly recommend!

Whenever a birthday comes around, I always order cake from here! Their mocha cake is the best and definitely a favorite of the whole family. The cake is moist and has the right amount of sweetness. Their cupcakes are also really good. If you havent tried it yet, definitely do so.

The only place I order cake from. My aunt ordered cake from here four years ago and ever since then I have been ordering all of my cakes from here. I order Green tea, strawberry kiwi, and mocha chiffon. They are all absolutely delicious! My fiancé doesn’t like sweets but he loves it here because their cakes are not too sweet. I love their cakes because it consistently tastes good, they’re light and airy and the chef always makes the cake look special. The cakes look like the picture every time.

I was looking for a bakery near my mom’s house to pick up a cake for a family birthday dinner. I decided to try Le Sucre based on their good reviews. I ordered a strawberry whipped cream cake and all I can say is I wish I had purchased a larger cake! The whole family loved it — it was beautifully decorated, super delicious with a light cake and frosting that wasn’t too sweet, and a big hit with everyone. It’s on a busy street but there is convenient parking in the back. I can’t wait to order another cake and next time I’ll try the cupcakes too.

I’ve been a regular at Le Sucre for about 5 years. It has been my favorite bakery to order cakes from ever since! Kiwi Strawberry and Green Tea are my favorites. I looooove that their cream is never heavy nor is it overly sweet. It’s so light, fluffy and perfect! The baker’s writing is also so cute and every cake I’ve ever ordered are made to the same standard – perfect. I am not as big of a fan of their cupcakes as I am their cakes. And I wish that they took your name and number instead of only a number. I’d love it to be much more personal. But the cake is phenomenal, so I don’t mind!

Stuff we tried: — Mocha chiffon cake — salty caramel: — white chocolate: — red velvet: — tiramisu: Super clean– very clean looking kitchen They were tasty, but I wouldn’t say they were tastier than any other gourmet cupcake shops. After reading other reviews before going, I actually expected more moistness in the cupcake part…

The cake I ordered was exactly or even better than what I expected. The costumer service was amazing. The cake was delicious. Wouldn’t choose any other bakery for a special occasion.

Really good cupcakes, for the price. We’ve had outstanding specialty ones, but they cost $ 5 each. These had good tasting cake and excellent buttercream frosting. I would definitely pick a half dozen of these up for company. I thought the mocha would be my favorite, but the red velvet with cream cheese frosting was tops.

This is the 2nd time I’ve ordered a cake from Le Sucre. The owner/baker was able to create the cutest cake with the design that I had in mind. Not only was it a beautiful cake, it was delicious(and perfectly moist) too! I got a 6″ tiramisu cake. I’ve also tried their strawberry and blueberry cupcakes that were equally amazing. My one little quibble about this place is that they don’t really care to know their customers. When she was taking down my info, she only asked for my phone #. I gave her my name as well, but she said the # was good enough. Maybe it’s just me, but I thought it was worth mentioning. I’ll be returning despite that since the cakes are so good!

I’m not generally a big fan of cake, so I didn’t initially care too much about picking out a wedding cake(which are notoriously dry and bland). Well Le Sucre changed all that! My mom and I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and the husband and wife owners were so friendly and accommodating(some places I contacted needed appointments weeks in advance). They had so many beautiful designs to choose from and when I picked one out, they assured me that the design would be improved upon(even though I already thought it was perfect!) Then the really fun part is you can choose to have the batter made out of any of the cupcakes they make, which are all delicious, at no extra cost! The owner let me and my mom try all the cupcake flavors we wanted, and since they were all so good, we decided to do 5 tiers each with a different flavor. Even though, this is clearly so much more work, they did not bat an eyelash! On the day of the cake was delivered even earlier than we planned for and it looked gorgeous. Everyone was impressed by how detailed and flawless it was, and also how delicious the taste was! Truly impressed.

I happened to be in the area and decided to drop by and try the cupcakes! Since it was close to 5 by the time I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were 1 – 2 cupcakes of every flavor left. I decided on the strawberry, salted caramel, red velvet, and carrot cake — all of which I very much adored. Positives: I loved how the cupcakes weren’t as sweet as some other places. Even the cream cheese frosting was not overwhelmingly sweet or thickened. It was so smooth and soft that you can just barely taste the cream cheese in it. This made it so that the frosting did not overpower the bite of yummy goodness. The cakes itself are super moist which I appreciated, however I did find myself wishing that the cake could be slightly firmer or sturdier. I’m the farthest thing from a baker so I’m unsure if you can make the cake firmer while maintaining its moistness but maybe I’m just being over the top nit picky. Don’t be confused that Le Sucre is located in a weird corner right next to a kind of creepy looking convenience store. It’s easily missed if you are just driving by as they don’t really have a sign. Be sure to park in the corner plaza and come down from your car to find the actual store. Another thing is that I’m a little sad they don’t sell their cakes in slices. Guess I will just have to buy a whole cake sometime when the next birthday arises because that green tea chiffon cake is looking mighty delicious…

This was probably one of the most impulsive stops I have ever made. I was literally driving back to my apartment from O’hare when I noticed on Unilocal that Le Sucre was on the way home. Decided to have faith in fellow Unilocalers(4.5 stars with 100+ reviews!) and made a quick stop. By the time I had gotten there(around 4pm), the cupcakes were mostly gone, but I managed to snag a Red Velvet and Salted Caramel. The lady working at the front is very friendly. I overheard her talking with another customer and apparently the place is pronounced something along the lines of «Le Sook» instead of «Le Sook-ray» as I expected. Anyway, I digress. The good: — cupcakes are moist, a good size, good frosting to cake ratio, not overly sweet. The meh: — Although I appreciate the more subtle sweetness of these cupcakes, the flavors were almost too subtle… as in I had a couple bites of the salted caramel then a couple bites of the red velvet, and the flavors were quite similar. If you blindfolded me and had me try a bite of both, I’m not sure I could’ve distinguished the flavors. — Two cupcakes came out to about $ 6 with tax. A bit on the pricier end. I would give the cupcakes 3.75 stars, bump it up to 4 for friendly service.

4 stars overall, thus far. 5 stars for the Red Velvet! The fabulous Candice and her review enticed me into trying LeSucre when I found myself in the area. Though I was in somewhat less of a sugar frenzy than she was that day(as described in her review;), I still managed to walk out of there with half a dozen cupcakes. The final choice, the red velvet, was somewhat reluctant on my part, as I have never found a red velvet cupcake anything special. But WOW, when my husband and I tried it that night at home, we were so surprised! What makes it different? Hell if I know, but it had a depth of flavor that was unexpected, that’s for sure. The clerk told me, I wanna say he said chocolate in it, but I just don’t recall. Either way, it was fantastic. Blew our minds! Also not to be missed, the tiramisu cupcake. In fact, all the cupcakes were great, but these two, particularly their(now-I-get-it) famous Red Velvet were noteworthy. It’s the kind of cupcake that can change hearts and minds. Well, at least our minds about Red Velvet. :-) Good call, Candice!
