Hector’s Salon

I need a new local place to go to. I met with Patty who understood that I only want a trim. I feel okay about it right now. I’m almost sure I’ll go back again for my next cut. Thank you.

First time here and definitely not last! I was helped by Elizabeth who was very professional. I looooove my new haircut!

So I haven’t been here in a couple of years they have new staff they were really nice but the one who stuck out the most was the nice stylish hair dresser named hector junior ! He was very pleasant and understanding and made me feel extremely comfortable. Especially when I was freaking out about my hair due to the fact that whenever I wanted my split ends to be cut other hair dressers from other salons would cut my hair extremely shot … Junior did an amazing job! With my hair it feels so health looks healthy ! He knows what he’s doing !!! I’ll be coming back soon !! Thank you junior your awesome !!!

This place is amazing the staff is so friendly. My hair is so hard to manage. Can you imagine how difficult it must be for my hair stylist. Hector is so professional he has a great hand. My hair fills so light most important I fill beautiful. Thank you so much guys. I will defiantly recommend this salon to anyone. Also I will be coming back soon.

I really wanted to make Hector’s my hair salon because overall I had good experiences in the past and it was in my price range. The last 2 or so appointments that I specifically had with Hector, I was passed on to different hair stylists. This drives me crazy because then it didn’t matter whom I wanted my appointment with to begin with. I admit I overlooked it because the prices were right, most of the stylists were friendly, and usually my hair looked pretty good. The last 2 visits (the ones where Hector had others work on me) did not meet my expectations and I will not be returning. The 2^nd to last visit aside from being given to another hair dresser, I didn’t really care for the way that the color turned out. In fairness I was told I could come back and that they would fix it free of charge. I ended up just letting it go because it wasn’t terrible or anything. It just wasn’t what I wanted. In my last visit I requested low lights and had a picture again given to another stylist. While my hair color doesn’t look awful again, it really didn’t match the picture and my low lights look honestly like they bled. I feel like they weren’t done correctly and my hair now has a grayish tint. To top it off this visit ended up costing me $ 120 not including tip and I didn’t even have a haircut. In the past for highlights and a retouch I’ve always paid between $ 65-​$ 75. Not sure what happened here but the woman at the register said that’s what Hector said I was supposed to pay. The prices on the website aren’t accurate. I feel like they charge whatever they want each time when you come in depending on if they like you (probably meaning you speak Spanish and won’t show that you didn’t care for the way that your hair looked). I almost think they charged me that much deliberately not to get me to come back. Well it worked as I will not be returning and will not recommend. I only gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because they have Sunday and Monday hours and because my hair never looked THAT bad leaving.
UPDATE: I use shampoo and conditioner meant for color treated hair. Within one wash my light brown low lights turned grey. =(Threw out $$$. I wish the last hair dresser Hector threw me at knew what he was doing. I’m actually embarrassed to go around with my hair like this so I throw extensions in which sort of hides this. Now spending more $$$ going to a salon who can somehow do the job correctly. I’ve washed my hair out now 3x and you can very lightly see a couple poorly done lowlights (it looks like someone rubbed chocolate milk mix on parts of my hair) and most of the grey is gone.
Totally wasted $ 120 plus tip this last time. Very, very upset and annoyed at the last experience here.

I hate giving one star. But really, I felt like i wasted $ 25! For nothing. The only lady there, who doesnt speak english, she thinks that she do a blowout without washing my hair. Or at least wet it. nope nothing! She was literally trying to blowdrying hair my hair while it was dry. Plus she burned my neck. I just wanted a blow dry so my hair can look like it has volume. But nope… my hair looked exactly the same as when I went in.disappointed. But hey everybody else here seems very nice and knows what they are doing.

I want to start off by saying that Betty is a sweetheart! If you are going in for a haircut I definitely recommend her but ONLY for a haircut!
When it came to my cut she gave me exactly what I was looking for and even cut amazing blunt bangs.
Now comes the not so great part of my appointment, the highlights. So I wanted highlights that would be weaved in pretty thin and natural but what I got was uneven chunky and thin highlights and even worse none of them come close to my roots. It looks like I got them done at least two weeks ago. And the color is iffy, I wanted a caramel light brown but ended up with a brassy, blonde color.
Sad to say I’m very disappointed with the highlights but I will definitely go back for haircuts and bang trims. Show Betty a picture of what you want and she will cut it perfectly!

This was my third time getting my hair done at the Salon always great customer service, and Gloria did a balayage on my hair and got it the blonde I wanted. Also great prices! Thank you Gloria and staff.

I came in to get extensions and wow I am so in love with how it all turned out! Everyone here is friendly and Hector did such an amazing job. This is definitely my go to salon. I would recommend anyone and everyone to come in, they will not regret it!

My go-​to was gone so I had to find a new one. Set an appointment with Carolina, she was about an hour late for her appointment prior to mine which is unprofessional because times set for appointments need to be met (time management). The lady there made an excuse for her saying «yes if you want her you need to make an appointment and show up an hour after that so she’s here because she lives far». Not the best excuse and if anything that lady actually made the situation worse, I left and never made an appointment with her again which is unfortunate because she’s great.
Caramelo has also cut my hair, I felt uncomfortable that he was chatting outside as I sat on his chair for about 10 minutes just waiting for his conversation to end. He did a great job with the haircut but I wish I would have been informed that straightening hair while doing so is EXTRA, something I did not ask for but he just did on his own by the way. So WHY I was charged for something I did not ask for I have no idea but I didn’t complain when I paid. Instead I’ve made up my mind to go elsewhere when I need a haircut that would not charge me extra for something they took upon themselves to do. Seemed shady and beneficial to the salon– clientele satisfaction from all aspects should come first.
Plus, they rotate staff workers like there’s no tomorrow which is not good for potential loyal customers to the salon.

I have gone to hectors OFF and on for the past 7 YEARS nd always had a nice experience but this last time was amazing Carolina did my hair and I must say she did a awesome job … I went in as a brunette and came out a wonderful blond. She did a wonderful hair consult where she analyzed my current hair color to the desired color. my hair is long and difficult but she was patient and polite. She made sure I was comfortable and awake lol … she did an awesone job. I recommend that anyone that needs a total transformation see CAROLINA.
Oh and she is a barber as well so men she can hook u up too :)

So I’m becoming a regular here! Carolina did my hair the past 2 times she does amazing work! I am very happy with my highlights. She takes her time to get my hair just perfect!
