I wonder if this is even the same storage facility where I store my things. Sure, the building is kind of old school with its cumbersome freight elevator and the business hours are like bankers hours. But Jose has always been kind to me and always professional. The area isn’t that bad! If you want a better zip code, be prepared to pay for it. Anyway, I’m giving it 5 stars to make up for all the crappy reviews that must have happened before Jose was around, although there are two sides to every story. Oh yeah… one more thing… if you’re abusive to the person behind the counter, he doesn’t need your business that bad! Some people think that no matter what profanity you use or how much you get up in their face, that employee is supposed to just take it with a smile. Think again!

I got so angry I called the worker there a piece of sh*t. He told me to F#(k off, which I deserved. But the reason I got so ridiculously angry is because they tacked on about 18, not 1, not 2, 18! miles… The guy working wasn’t even part of the company! He was the son of some dude. Stay far far away from this shady place. The owners undoubtedly steal whenever, and whatever they can. Look at all these one star reviews!!!

If I can give them a 0 I would. We rented a truck 2 weeks prior to our move date. Got a message the day before saying that our truck is not available sorry. As if that’s not bad enough I then got a charge on my credit card a few days later. I called and the guy gave me an 800 # to call. ARE YOU FKING KIDDING ME? YOU CANCELLED MY TRUCK THEN CHARGED ME??? STAY FAR AWAY!!!

The truck availability is very low. It’s located in a not so great part of town, and the office looks like they’re perpetually closing shop. Very unpleasant place with a poor quality of service.

GO UP THE STREET TO THE BUDGET AT 7521 Lankershim Blvd INSTEAD
I rented a budget truck and car dolly from them for a move from LA to Sacramento. Everything seemed fine when I picked it up except that the owner wouldn’t show me how to put my car onto the dolly (he claimed it was against budget’s rules which I later found out isn’t the case and it was just him being lazy). He said it would be okay for my Honda Civic.
The next day, the movers load my truck and I drive to a nearby parking lot to hook up my car. The release strap on one of the winches was broken and it couldn’t be released. I call back to this store but apparently they are closed AT ONE PM ON A SATURDAY. I call budget roadside and it takes 4+ hours for them to get someone out.
But I call the budget store at 7521 Lankershim and the owner of the store comes out and helps me even though they are closed. He was THE NICEST GUY I’ve ever dealt with. He spent his saturday fixing the strap for me and then we realized that a honda civic wont fit on the car dolly (the front end doesnt clear it by 3 inches). The guy drives to home depot and buys some thick boards and comes back and loads my car for me. He wouldn’t even take my money for the boards. He even called me the next day to make sure I got there okay. I have never encountered such a generous stranger in my life. GIVE HIM YOUR BUSINESS– not these guys who couldn’t care less and rented me the wrong dolly without even caring.
PS. the Good Samaritan owner of 7521 Lankershim told me that the guys at his store will help you load your car on the lot or at least show you how to do it. I wish I’d known there was a difference in budget rental locations!

Seriously the WORST people I have ever met, the worst service I have EVER had ANYWHERE! They must hate their job and their lives or something and will put that out on you.
From day one, they have been rude, unhelpful, etc, etc. If it wasn’t the cheapest place around I would pay some movers and have them empty it out and move ALL my things somewhere else. These people really should not be in business. I could give you a LONG list of things, but I don’t want to put any more energy onto this. I just look forward to ending my business with them. All I’ll say is GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Avoid at all costs. Owner is a complete jerk, was awful to deal with. I drove 900 miles to pick up a trailer he told me would be there, and then said «so what, take what I have or dont take anything» and «I am not measuring your truck for you». Basically told me too bad, tough luck, «not my fault». Absolute disaster, do not rent from them or rent storage. Am also complaining to Budget about him. Terrible experience.

Avoid like the plague.. .
Seriously.
Even if all you’re doing is dropping off a rental truck there, don’t do it– Select a different establishment to drop off at.
Shady business practices, and staff that are not only abrasive, but downright vicious when it comes to dealing with customers.. . They will gladly waste your time and money to either (try and) make you feel like an idiot, or to try and cover their own asses.
After having an especially great experience there, and leaving in quite a huff, a normal customer said, «That’s all they tried to do to you? I’ve seen them try worse.. .»
0 stars if I could, and one of the only times that I’ve actually wisedh a business would disappear.
