Meet the Business Owner

Ray M.

Business Owner

Ray Moore is the founder and owner of Stor-More Self Storage facilities throughout Washington State. A long time resident, Moore and his family have resided north of Seattle for the past 40 years.

Ray began his career building homes in the 1960’s. He started his land development business: purchasing land, constructing homes and going on to build 110 houses each year into the mid-1970’s.

From this start in development, Ray eventually shifted his buy, build and sell strategy to the burgeoning business of storage facilities.

In 1978, Ray came across an ad in the Wall Street Journal about a weeklong storage seminar in St. Louis. Ever industrious and seeking to grow his business, Ray was one of the first builders at the time to start building storages. Inspired, he purchased a piece of property and built his first storage facility in Everett, WA and the rest is history, as they say.
