We hired Golden Restoration & construction to remodel our house in San Rafael and put into the rental market. WOW, what a cordial, above-​and-​beyond service, clean work and great prices. Harry — our point person — was really a partner, not only being available and flexible to talk at the oddest times (I think one day he called me from Sunday church!), but also being honest about what he saw as the best cost/​benefit for us, even if it wasn’t the option with best margins for them. That’s the type of service that builds trust, loyalty and long term success. Definitely recommend them and definitely will work with them again in the future.

We just remodeled our bathroom using Golden Restoration and Construction. The house was built in 1950 and the bathroom needed help. The shower had to be replaced, the tiles were cracked and the floor was in poor shape. Everything had to be replaced from the floor to the ceiling. After some research, we chose Golden Restoration and Construction. Their estimate was fair and they were highly recommended. They did a fantastic job! Gary, Harry and Rosel were great guys to work with and the crew was very professional. They got the job done in a timely manner and we couldn’t be happier with the end result — we love it! I would highly recommend Golden Restoration and Construction to anyone who has a project in mind.

the owner talks like a used car salesman. The owner promises everything is included, but the contract small print will have you paying $$$. Don’t sign any contracts here.

I highly recommend using Golden Restoration & Construction. We hired Golden Restoration & Construction to do a complete remodel of our kitchen. Gary, the owner, was upfront and clear immediately about the cost of the project. He came to our house and was able to come up with several wonderful design ideas. He also assisted us when it came to going to the actual stores to assist us in making several important decisions, such as cabinets, flooring and tile. Gary monitored the progress from start to finish to make sure things were moving smoothly. He also made it a point to call me to ensure that all my questions were answered.
The final product was nothing short of amazing. We are extremely happy and can not recommend them enough.

Golden Restoration & Construction did a fabulous job remodeling both my bathrooms.
I bought a house and both bathrooms needed attention immediately. Gary the owner and general contractor at Golder Restoration not only responded and met with me quickly but he actually met me at the Tile and Supply store and assist me in choosing the right products for both bathrooms. He made good recommendations and I am extremely happy with the end result.
I have also had a couple of unrelated issues like my sump pump not working, not sure how to change the light timers, and replacing a few things and Gary responded and had one of this skilled, polite and knowledgeable workman at my house right away. He also showed up to make sure everything was done correctly.
I found the guys with Golden that worked for Gary to all be polite and they all do great work. Gary told me that he has had a very long and committed crew and it shows.
Quality of my work = EXCELLENT

We’ve been working with Gary and his crews at Golden Restoration for over ten years. We have had them do major interior remodels, including a complete kitchen, bathroom, living room & den with removal of interior walls for an open floor plan and raised ceilings. They’ve done crown moldings, window casings, plus lighting and other electrical work. They have redone our outside decking. He’s basically remodel our whole house and it looks fantastic. Couldn’t be happier.

I did not have any work completed by this company.
I received an email stating that I have an appointment scheduled. While waiting for the company to arrive, I called them to see when they might be arriving. Gary, the man who sent me the email, answered the phone. He was incredibly rude on the phone, stating that they were waiting for me to call them to confirm. I explained to him that my email stated «In regard of your project I will schedule your appointment for March 19, Wednesday 12:00pm– 1:30 pm» and, that due to the many spelling and grammatical errors in the rest of the message, it was not clear that I needed to contact them again to confirm. Instead of offering to rectify the situation or reschedule, Gary was condescending and unhelpful. Gary had a terrible attitude on the phone and was incredibly unprofessional. Based on this brief interaction with Gary, I will never work with this company.
If a company cannot treat prospective clients with respect and courtesy, I have no interest in having them work on my home.

We cannot say enough about Golden Restoration! Gary and his team are top notch! We had two bathrooms remodeled and both exceeded our expectations. The level of professionalism was really impressive. Gary’s guys, Javier and Francisco showed up each day on time and their work was impeccable! Golden is extremely competitive with their prices and they stay until the job is finished.

We recently purchased a home that needed a lot of cosmetic fixing and updating. We chose Golden Restoration because they were responsive to our call, came in with an extremely competitive rate, sent professional, courteous and clean guys and Gary was a joy to work with! The new granite counter tops had some difficulty seams and Gary managed to make them look beautiful. We also had some tricky bath remodeling to do and Gary helped me come up with some space saving solutions and I couldn’t be happier with my bathroom now!
