History

Established in 2011.

ReNew Systems was born out of tragedy. Two years ago one of our partner’s family members committed suicide in Humboldt County. While the family came to grips with the loss and the questions, someone had to find someone to clean the room. After 3 days and dozens of calls later, a company came from Oregon and charged the insurance company over $ 3,000 for an hour and half worth of work. ReNew was born to fill a need in an area with little or no services like ours. Our partners have over 57 years of law enforcement and coroner experience combined. We know how to help families, we know how to bill insurance companies and we can do the job inexpensively and better than anyone in the industry.

We realize this work is difficult to do, but it is even more difficult to do when the there is a family member involved. Let us help you resolve this difficult situation; we are here for you and your family.

In 2008 ReNew Systems was conceived by Marie and a friend who lost her mother tragically. They soon discovered that services of the caliber they envisioned just did not exist in Northern California. They wanted to develop a company whose servicewas compassionate, discreet and professional and at the same time would employ cutting edge technology to permit their clients to return to a safe and clean environment.

A California native, Marie has a Bachelors in Psychology from UC Davis and over 25 years of experience in the banking management and finance industries. Borders is fortunate to have Ken Holmes, retired from the Marin County Coroner’s office after 37 years, and Tony Pinochi, a Sonoma County Police Sergeant who retired after 20 years of service as her partners in ReNew Systems. Marie strives to embody the company’s philosophy of compassion and personalized service to better mediate traumatic situations.
