A fantastic craftsman, a professional, and a great guy! Gabe completely replaced all the wooden Newel Posts in the staircase of my 1901 Victorian home in Oak Park. This was a HUUUUGE job as it basically involved dis-​assembling the staircase banners and then reassembling them. And Gabe did it all in ONE day whereas other quotes were more than Gabe and wanted a week to do the job.
We were amazed. He also custom made each of the 5 wooden Newel Posts himself, based on a verrrry fuzzy old photo of the original ones that had been there before a prior owner ripped them out and tried to ‘modernize’ things. The custom posts he made us are a PERFECT replica of those in the old photo, fit perfectly into the scale and size of the existing stairs, and the whole thing just looks amazing now, restored to its original historical beauty. It’s funny how what seems like a small thing can make such a great difference when done «just right» by someone with skill and artistry and who takes pride in their work. We couldn’t be more pleased.
We also had him fix our wooden front porch and as always he was super quick to respond with a quote (he was here the same day to look at it), was here when he said he would be to do the work, was done before we expected him to be, was totally affordable, and his work was again perfection.
I will use him again without hesitation and am happy to refer him to others with complete confidence.

Gabe is not a carpenter he’s a craftsman. I’ve deal with a lot contractors these past few years and Grosso has by far has been my best experience! Excellent workmanship and when he’s says he’ll be there to do the job — he’s there on time AND my favorite he cleans up after himself. Seriously folks this guys is a rare find, I would recommend him 100%!!!
