Specializing in Whole Person care; a blend of Acupuncture and Massage to improve health, soothe the spirit and reconnect mind and body. Relief of acute and chronic pain, digestive issues, insomnia, depression, women’s heath, PMS, allergies, stress relief.

Modalities include: acupuncture, deep tissue and Swedish massage, tui-​na, gua sha, cupping, moxibustion, herbal medicine and qi gong.

History

Established in 2011.

Licensed as a massage therapist in New Mexico, Andrea was inspired on a visit to China to explore new and ancient ways to help people improve their health. She began her Acupuncture studies in Albuquerque and moved in 2006 to Oakland to complete her studies. She earned a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley in 2011 and works as Licensed Acupuncturist and Certified Massage Therapist in San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley.

Andrea now provides private treatments, community style acupuncture and home visits.

Andrea Lazarin LAc, CMT has been a massage therapist for over 10 years and loves incorporating body work into her acupuncture treatments. The hybrid of the two, along with other modalities, allows her to address the varied needs of her clients both physically and emotionally. No need to turn someone looking for help away because they are afraid of needles, allowing space to those not ready for a lot of touch. Respect for the client’s needs and boundaries are paramount. All treatments are geared to inducing well-​being and reducing symptoms that inhibit a healthy and comfortably happy life!

I considered myself a mess until I met Andrea. She helps me not only physically but mentally and offers good advice on basic nutrition and ways in which to heal your body and allow it to perform at its best. Not to mention she has magical hands! Trust me. She’s also the most compassionate and understanding person I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in quite some time. She connects with her clients very personally, and I am always at ease. Each time I leave my appointment I feel stellar and have a sense of peace and well being. She has helped with my constant sinus issues, my neck and back tension, and continues to work with me to discover how to benefit most from treatments and listen to my body. Don’t be afraid of acupuncture, either. It’s a unique experience, and the benefits are absolutely apparent. I get regular massage and acupuncture, and I’m so thankful I found Andrea.

I have had a few physical ailments through life that have manifested as lower back pain and loss of creative drive.
The approach that Andrea has taken has produced profound positive effects. She listens to the «Whole You» and formulates a combination of gentle touch and Acupuncture that facilitate the exit of the pain. And, the entrance of positive energy and good health. The Chi Kung is palpable and awesome.

I was really pleased with the 60 minute massage I received from Andrea! She is very open minded, kind, warm and engaged with her clients. She took the time so sit and talk with me about my emotional and physical health/​well being and we discussed my goals and desires for the session.
It didn’t feel like my first visit, it felt like I had been going to her for ages. I would recommend her for massages and plan to return for acupuncture.

I hardly ever leave a Unilocal review, but I had to write this one since it’s been life changing. I injured my shoulder about 3 years ago during a strenuous work out. It took me a while to realize it was a minor rotator cuff injury. I tried many different treatments and exercises, and some helped and some just made it worse. I finally decided to give acupuncture a try. My first experience with acupuncture was at a community clinic. It was nice but I needed more help. A friend recommended Andrea.
Andrea’s work is very unique as she combines acupuncture, massage and energy healing. After every treatment I’ve walked out feeling like a new person. What is more incredible is how my injury has healed over time. What I truly appreciate about Andrea’s approach is her comprehensive approach. For my injury she combined acupuncture, massage, energy healing, and even herbs. She gave me diet tips and also instructed me to a few exercises to do on my own. She is not just an acupuncturist, she is a healer in the truest sense of the word.

Andréa was my introduction to the world of acupuncture — something I’d been curious about for years but, frankly, a bit afraid to try for myself (anything involving needles have always given me the jibblies). Her warm, gracious, and open personality put me at ease, though, and I found her tableside manner (if that’s the appropriate term) to be just as kind and calming.
I was seeking treatment for ADHD — some sort of alternative to stimulant medications. Andréa had never approached acupuncture from quite that angle before, but instead of being intimidated or turning me down, she got excited. She dove right in, did a bunch of research (on her own time), and came up with a treatment plan with me that was remarkably effective.
ADHD is tricky in that it represents differently in each of us who have it, and each of us respond to different types of treatments in different ways. For me, it turned out that meds were the answer, but I was terrified to try them, or really any treatment at all, at first. I can say without reservation now, though, that the incredibly positive results I experienced from regular treatments with Andréa proved to me that seeking specific and special treatments *does* work. Her acupuncture led me towards the path on which I am now, and for that I will be eternally grateful.
In short, she’s excellent. Her prices are a steal, given the quality of care she offers, and she’s a lovely person all around. If you’ve been to dozens before, she’ll still impress — and if you’re still teetering on the edge of whether or not to try acupuncture for yourself, take the plunge. Andréa’s work is well worth it.

Andrea is the kind of practitioner that gets me in touch with how healthy I am as soon as I arrive. This is only my second review and I don’t Unilocal for just anybody. Andrea has a warm, positive energy that comes through in her work as a healer. Where some past massage experiences have felt clinical and mechanical, with Andrea there’s a real human connection and personalized care. Her natural presence and spirit always makes me feel better even before I get to the massage table. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

Wonderful, compassionate, and thoughtful care! I was thorougly impressed with Andrea. She gathered thorough background information about how I’ve been feeling and was firendly and willing to answer all my questions.
I went to see her for help with recurring shoulder pain from an old injury. She was able to relive the tension in my shoulder and bring that old pain to almost zero.
The thing to remember about acupunture is that more than one appointment is going to be necessary. Some rethinking of lifestyle choices is also in order. It took a long time to beat up my body so much. It’s silly to expect someone to fix it up after a single 90 minute session. Now, about a year later, I’m pain free! I had a few sessions with Andrea, I’ve adjusted my diet (with some suggestions from Andrea), and I stretch and exercise much more regularly. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
