L & S Super Burrito & Sea Food

Stopped by while passing through from out of town and was not disappointed at all. Had the shrimp and bacon fries. They were so good! Lots of shrimp and bacon. Huge portion. My friend got what I believe was the Philly cheese sandwich with shrimp. Also a huge portion. I tried it and it was also great. The staff was friendly. Great selection of food to choose from. Inside was clean. Did not take long to get our food. Definitely worth stopping by.

Had the steak and shrimp cheesy fries. Tasty, BUT… way too many thick fries! They’re trying to fill you up on these huge FAT fries.
$ 11.25 Basically for some cheesy fries with bits of steak and a few shrimp toss over it. I wouldn’t go back!

They do not not open at 11. They open when its convienent for them so more closer to noon. The only thing «good» here are the loaded fries covered in tiny minced meat and toppings enough to cover the actual taste of the fries in which were fried in the same oil used to fry their fish. So dont order fried things unless its meant to taste like fish. I ordered wings and fries, not even late in the day and it was dried out and tasted like fishy chicken. Super gross. They need to have a seperate fryer for fries and non fish things.

Food was good. Service and price were not. I got the steak fries with sour cream. Pricing is a little unclear, I didn’t realize or like that they charged for sour cream, cilantro, onion, etc on your fries. I asked for salsa and the younger woman was so angry about it, rolling her eyes and sighing… like ?
tldr; their food is good but price and service make me think I won’t be back.

Cool place and reasonable price. Ive only had their steak, shrimp cheese fries which is very tasty. Never tried to get the other food, but I shall… eventually. The owners are this Asian couple, they speak broken English so don’t be surprise if they get your order wrong or if they ask more than once what your order is. The lady messed up my orders before, however it was over the phone those times, so I understand. Only complaint is that they open at 11:30a instead of 11a ok well can you update the sign? They also have a young girl working there too and even she didn’t inform me what time they open.

I had the steak fries with shrimp. The steakfries were kinda dry wasn’t the best but the strimp were good. This shop is a hole in a wall, wasn’t what I expected and you have to request any add ons and somewhat pricey. Burritos aren’t good either.

They food is ok I felt I got what I paid for, but you can tell the young lady that took my order has no customer service so for that reason alone they will not be getting any of my money. I visited the place on 11/​16/​2015 at 11:00 as I sat there I started seeing the customers come in and that all looked and acted like they took the wrong path in life so with that being said I guess my terrible customer service came from me off my look only made her put in that category. I’m clean cut with clean clothes on nice and comfortable I wonder what made her act that way. But looking at the place the way it look and the kind of unhealthy food they serve I guess they figure only dumb people eat here so we will treat them anyway, they are right but I will be dumb no more

I went to L&S Burrito & Fish Chips on Friday evening to try out their red snapper, hush puppies and fries. The pacific red snapper had no taste or season plus the hush puppies weren’t cook thoroughly when I took a bite it was pasty uncooked cornmeal taste and the fries were drenched with grease. If you want to have clogged arteries go to this place.
If you are going to splurge at least make sure it’s worth it! The price was good but the food quality not.

I haven’t been to this place in a long time. I used to live a few blocks from this place and went here whenever I wanted some quick seafood, so I wasn’t sure if it was gonna be different.
Well, it was just as I remembered. I got the Alaskan Salmon with fries, large, and they also give you 3 pieces of bread, catsup, hot sauce and tarter sauce.
Taste wise it was just ok, not bad but not over the top great either, just pretty good. But the portions are pretty big, and for a pretty good price. I could barely finish it. I did forget about that. I would recommend this place, but it’s not set up to eat there, super small place, so go find a cool spot by the Lake and dig in…

Instant Spanish style rice, pace picante salsa, squeezy nacho cheese, and mystery meat in their burritos. Served with Doritos. I dont understand how this place stays open with food like that in this area. Its like burrito night at your white trash neighbors house, but somehow still not as good. I know this all sounds mean but thats how it feels when you walk in and eat the food here. The taco truck up the street is way better even though its still pretty ghetto. If you are ever planning on going to L&S i hope its for ironic purposes or to see the mess of a restaurant this is.

I got their shrimp and jalapeño fries, it was amazing. The fries are cut big but they’re crispy and perfect on the inside. I couldn’t even wait to go home to eat it, I was eating it while I was driving home. Besides the taco truck on 23^rd, I don’t know any other place in Oakland that serves steak fries. It’s the the healthiest food, but it’s good for your soul. Besides the fries, I’ve also tried their burritos. One tip is, don’t try their burritos. It ain’t all that great and it’s pretty pricey for what you get. I recommend their fries, but that’s it! Lol

The food was okay, nothing special really. I think it was interesting thought that they offered shrimp and meat cheese fries but the place just looks downright sketchy. It just looks unsanitary for some reason. I don’t plan on coming back here at all.

I live a few blocks from here and have eaten their tacos and burritos at least 20 times. I really like the hard tacos so I still haven’t tried much else on the menu. I notice some one star reviews here but I can tell you, the people here are nice (even to the many rude jerks they have to serve), so if you have a problem let them know and they will take care of it, that’s what they always do for me.

L&S has some of the best carne asada style fries I’ve had in the bay. As a socal native, I’m always down for some good carne asada fries, but norcal doesn’t have much to offer. Then L&S came into my life.
I usually order the shrimp and steak cheese fries, with all the addins. I like my jalapeño, guac, tomatoes, sour cream, onions… I’ve swapped the steak out for bacon in the past. It’s still good, but that can be pretty salty. L&S is very generous with their portions from most everything that I’ve seen them serve.
I’ve had their burritos also, but that doesn’t stand out much to me. Another popular order a lot of customers get is their different fried fish plates. I’ve heard a lot of people order tilapia when I’m waiting for my order.
It’s a small place, with just the mom & dad preparing the food while the daughter helps on some days, so expect a small wait. Their service is great though!

The chef and cashier were Asian, so I should’ve seen it coming. Minimum $ for credit card is $ 10, so I ordered the steak and bacon fries and 2 carne asana soft tacos.
I’m pretty sure the entire fries order came from the frozen section. The fries were large wedges that were mushy and it was nacho cheese spilled in the container along with canned jalapeños. It reminded me of the nachos sold at high school basketball games.
The tacos were filled with cabbage and tomatoes.
I wouldn’t come here again. I was sorely disappointed.

I am tired of the horrible disrespect that too many people show African Americans. There is a junk food joint owned and run by some asians L&S Seafood 326 18^th street. Oakland, CA They were very rude and disrespectful after they got caught lying and disrespecting a black woman customer. When will Black folks stop supporting businesses like these. The food is fried and greasy not good for your health anyway. Glad I found them out. I will never patronize them.

Literally went in there today to order 7 Hard Ground beef tacos and 2 soft ones with everything. Boy were they DEELICIOUS! We also ordered their infamous shrimp and steak cheese fries. Ugh BOMB!
Definitely one of those hole in the walls up in the hood you don’t know it’s a gem til you go and try it. And also it can get packed at the end of the day when everyone’s getting off work so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CALLING IN to order. Otherwise it’s a long wait.

I’m late posting but on the 2^nd of January 2015 I waited in this long line & it was worth it!!!
I haven’t eaten here in 7 years & I have missed this place!
Anyways I bought steak & shrimp fries, it was delicious, hot & I wish I ordered extra meat — worth the time to wait.

The food is cool’ but before his brother left it was way better, i would have gave up five stars.
Now that this couple are keeping the business going, at first the wife attitude was to much to put up with and i stop eating they’re for about two too three years’ lately i feel like she’s gotten nicer’ but i wouldn’t recommend it.
Rockin Crawl Fish, is high’ but the juice smack with the crab!

I have to update my review, considering I gave it a low star rating (4yrs ago) and have multiple check-​ins since then… it just doesn’t match.
So, let’s just say they’ve improved… A LOT!
What I like to order are the jumbo prawns. I love how they devein & butterfly/​flatten the shrimp. I think I got 10 to an order.
I still get the steak fries… sometimes w/​shrimp, the key is to asking for fresh fries.
Don’t be discouraged if there are a lot of people, it goes fast! I don’t mind, I know then I’m guaranteed to get fresh fries for sure!
