First of all, what kind of retard ordered a vegetarian burrito at a fish and chips restaurant. It was my first time there so I asked for a recommendation. Owner lady recommended steak and shrimp over fries. It was very delicious. I’m definitely coming back for more.

Lent friendly. Not the English beer battered fish but a cornmeal Southern style breading. Flakey, good and served with hot and thick steak fries. Favored the catfish over the sole. Bare bones and no nonsense. Nice enough staff, too. Why do they have burritos on their menu??? Seems wrong.

This place must have turned around quite a bit from the reviews posted a few to several years ago. This is a very small restaurant that is recommended for a place to order for takeout or a place to sit down solo or maybe with one other person. They serve Cajun-style seafood, burritos, tacos, hamburgers, cheese steak, chicken wings, nachos, and other fried foods. I ordered a fish taco and a shrimp taco. Each taco had lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, cheese, and the fish/shrimp. The fish was fried in Cajun/Louisiana style with corn meal. The shrimp appeared to be grilled. The tacos were both very delicious, and I will definitely go back for some more. I wished they provided a slice of lime for each taco. The next time I order, I’ll pass on the sour cream. This is because I always pass on sour cream in all my food, but I’m sure others would appreciate it on their tacos. It’s just not something I’m into. I’ll try a burrito next time – hopefully they have made some changes since the 1-star reviews posted about the vegetable and fish burritos.

Ok, first off… why would anyone order a burrito at a non-Mexican restaurant/taqueria? Looking for grilled fish at a deep fried fish place, or wanting an «authentic» veggie burrito at the same is, well, slightly retarded. :) With that said, I thought the small sized fish and chips to be a pretty good value – you can choose between four or five different types of fish, batter or corn meal – lotsa chips, plus bread(I guess that’s the custom, altho it’s overkill) for around $ 6. The only major downfall is the other customers(loud, obnoxious usually) and the«tartar sauce».

Pretty freakin nasty. I just moved to the neighborhood, and hoped that with the divey look, would come good food. This was not the case. I got a vegetable burrito. I am pretty sure it gave me food poisoning, as my stomach felt like crap for about 3 days. The jalapenos seemed rotten, and while big, the burrito reminded me of something I could buy on campus at a shitty dining commons. The guy behind the counter was nice, but he didn’t know how to make 87 cents in change. Really… really?

GROSS. I wanted a fish burrito, and yuck, they put the freaking breaded fish they use for fish and chips in my burrito! And, to make it worse, I want my burrito without any rice, and the guy tries to make it and can’t so says he has to add some rice in order for the burrito to stay together! WTF?! Retarded. I have never heard of such a thing. Threw away half the burrito. What a waste.

Giant Fish & Chips is a small, local restaurant that has either fried chicken & fish or mexican food for your eating pleasure. They keep it really simple. There are usually 2 people on staff at a time so if it’s crowded, you will have a wait on your hands. My son is finicky about what he eats but he LOVES the fried chicken wings and fries that they have. I like these better because when you go to Church’s or Popeye’s oil is a major factor. Everything is made fresh and I feel like this is the spot to go to when I don’t feel like making dinner or lunch and they make it like I make it. Also, the owner is very kind. He chats it up with my 5-year old and they have a good old time. I give it my approval.
