Andrew specializes in anything guitar oriented. Nothing makes Andrew happier than sharing his passion! That is why he loves teaching as well as performing!

Andrew is down to teach anyone who is into playing music! His students come from junior high school, high school, college and PhD programs.

Andrew works with students to build skill and bring out in them the joy of playing guitar, ukulele, etc.

As a musical performer, Andrew specializes in rock, funk, R&B, jazz, folk, finger style, and weird alternate tunings. He loves music of all styles and works hard to be versatile and able to perform in any context.

Andrew performs in a variety of capacities. They range from large venues with 1,000 or more people to intimate weddings and private events.

Andrew is also a proficient composer and producer. He has his own music studio. He is available for film scores, album production, and recording for singer and songwriters.

History

Established in 2006.

Andrew began teaching music many years before he began teaching professionally.

At the age of 16 Andrew became the youngest instructor at the Palo Alto Summer Rock Camp.

Since then, he’s gone on to teach scores of private students, group classes, and bands.

In 2012, he taught at the LA Children’s Hospital, helping to bring sick children back to normalcy. In 2013, he served as the Music Director at the School of Rock in Palo Alto.

Currently, Andrew has over 20 private students. He is authoring an instructional book. He is also putting together a rock band class, which has always been his biggest passion.

Andrew Levin is a full-​time professional guitarist, composer, and guitar teacher serving the Rockridge –Piedmont — Montclair areas of Oakland and Berkeley.

Andrew is a graduate of the Studio/​Jazz Guitar program at USC’s Thornton School of Music.

Since graduating, he’s had the fortune of playing half way across the world with musicians of all types and teaching students of a multitude of backgrounds. Highlights include performing with the Kev Choice Ensemble (lead by Kev Choice of Lauryn Hill, Spearhead, Heiroglyphics), Grammy Nominee Terrace Martin (Kendrick Lamar, Quincy Jones, Robert Glasper), Grammy Award Winner Bobby Ozuna (D’Angelo, Mary J Blige), and an upcoming live album with local hip-​hop legends Zion I. He has produced music for TV pilots and commercials. His guitar playing can be heard on the TV show Wilfred.

In his free time, Andrew loves playing music from John Coltrane to Stevie Wonder to the Mars Volta. His first solo EP, «Millennial,» is available on iTunes.
