The Cutting Place

I have been here many times and Leanne has done a great job. Those two nay-​sayers making negative observations about this establishment likely have some other personal motive for venting their cruelties. Notice they did not receive actual service here? WTF?! I’m going again today & I expect the same great service Ive come to expect these past many years. So there!

Update: Oct 14^th, 2015 1:30PM — I left a VM message for an appointment, Leanne called back with a 2PM slot, I arrived on time & she did a swell job — I went in looking like Jason Voorhees and came out looking like George Clooney! Enough said! lol

Leanne does a great job on my KIDS hair! They are really little and they like all of her funny bobble heads and decorations in the salon. Hey, if you can get a 18 month old to sit calm for his first hair cut you are amazing. She is very reasonable with her pricing too and gets right back to you for an appointment.

I’ve been a client of Leanne for a couple of decades and really value her work. She is personal, fast, responsive and I always look forward to haircuts there. She is the owner and only person there, she does smoke but never inside her shop. And she has recommended some of my favorite novels. If you are a perfectionist, she is not for you.

Local Small Business… Considered it… Until I noticed every single time I walked by there tends to be 4 – 5 individuals just hanging out smoking one cigarette after another without a care in the world for those of us who have to walk through the «cloud»…The first time I went here to inquire the lady couldn’t even be bothered to put the cigarette down while a prospective client asked about her services etc. Ick… Someone who doesn’t take care of their own body sure isn’t going to do too well with mine (hair)…The priorities here are really messed up…

I’ve been getting my hair cut at this place (by Leanne) for over 10 years. If you want a good (quick) haircut (I always get compliments on my haircut), for a good price (I think it’s $ 19 now), in a very comfortable — laid back setting head to the Cutting Place.

The best thing I can say about the Cutting Place is that the prices are cheap… under $ 20 for a haircut. The shop consists of one room that is rather dumpy /​messy looking. I believe the owner, Lee Ann, is the only person who works here, at least she is the only person I’ve seen there. While you can just show up, you can also make an appointment, though if you have the day’s first appointment, Lee Ann may show up late. Lee Ann isn’t much of a chatter box, which is nice. However, she sometimes tells me more intimate details about her personal life than I want to hear.
The haircut — for my medium length hair — takes under 10 minutes. Wow, I’ve never had my hair cut in such a short period of time. It usually looks decent for a week or two, but then the unevenness of the cut really shows up. But I guess you get what you pay for.
