History

Established in 1993.

When we started cleaning homes in Olympia it was because nobody was really doing a customized cleaning. I wanted my home cleaned the way I wanted it and I was frustrated by companies telling me what they were going to do in my home rather than asking me what I’d like. Over the years we have had many changes to the way we do business but that has never changed. It is still our goal to improve your life by giving you what you want vs. what we want you to have.

Mindy S.

Manager

Mindy has been with American Maid for going on 20 years at this point. She doesn’t just answer the phones. American Maid is her life. It’s her career and she will retire some day — but not today, don’t worry! Because of this she has a different agenda. It isn’t to get done as soon as she can so she can go shopping or home to the grand kids (although she does love that!) She really WANTS to help you out. She really WANTS to help you get the cleaning you need. She really WANTS your cleaning experience to be amazing! That’s what she works for every day. Her actual title is Fan Management because that’s how she sees herself — as someone that is doing her best to live up to the super star status that you expect from us! From her phone greeting of WooHoo! to her pleasant «Sure, we can do that» all the focus is on making your day better.

I cannot say enough about this group of friendly professionals. They have cleaned my house for years and always do a stellar job. They are in and out quickly yet take tremendous care and pride in their work, and it shows. They always do extra little things, love on my pets, etc. They know their customers likes and dislikes and take the time to do the customer’s version of perfect. Mindy in the office is just fantastic. Truly great customer service. I think it says a lot about the company that so many staff have been with them for more than 5 years. Their products are all pet friendly and each month they gather donations for a local charity.

I have been using American Maid for a few months and am quite satisfied with their service. They are extremely consumer-​focused, always ask for feedback and friendly. I am particularly impressed with their team approach to this work — groups ranging from 3 – 5 people show up every two weeks and quickly get our house clean. I use special cleaning products on some surfaces, and they make sure that they have made notes to that effect. I’m happy!

Couldn’t get them to return my phone calls, or respond to my online request for an appointment. I was stressed from moving and really needed help, and the Unilocalers said they were really good. I am guessing whomever answers voicemail and email is not as great as the cleaners.

I’ve never hired anyone to clean for me before and was hesitant to have strangers in my home. I did my research and American Maid looked like the best, most reliable option. Jill, Jessica, and Christina came to clean and did an AMAZING job! I’ve never seen my toilets and stove so clean! In fact, I think my house is cleaner now than when I first moved in! I was considering only having them out for a one time thing, but seeing how clean my house is now and how professional the team was, I’ll probably consider using them on a regular basis! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend American Maid Cleaning!!!

Everything about this business is fantastic. It was so easy making an appointment over the phone. Two girls showed up to clean and they did a great job. A quick shout-​out to Jill, for being so kind and awesome. She represented the company well and seemed very happy to work for them, which I feel is important. Just terrific results. I was called a day or two later about the billing for the remainder of the service and just general feedback, and realized that a Unilocal review would be in order. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend their services.

I’m super happy to have found American Maid… The teams are super quick and efficient which is great for timing the cleanings. On the morning of my cleaning they call and tell me approximately what window of time they will be there, which is just awesome. They are extremely responsive and if the couple of times I have asked about adding things, or had questions-​everyone involved was amazing and any changes are dealt with quickly.
My team rotates, but many of the names are consistent and thats so awesome for them getting to know my house and messes. This week, Sandra, Susana, Ashly, and Diana did a super job. I love coming home to a clean house and made bed!
They leave notes every time, especially if there is something they noticed that was off. I really appreciate that. As a business owner and mother of 2 I am super busy and it is just so awesome to have someone help me with the regular cleanings.
My favorite story was when something was damaged-​I called Mindy at the office and immediately she said «don’t worry-​we will take care of you.» And they did. They quickly assessed the situation, and fixed it before I knew it. I was very impressed with their integrity and communication. Amazing service, quality that they back up, and a desire to please.

The American Maid team has been cleaning our house weekly for about 2 and a half years. The fact that they are a team makes them efficient and reliable. We had difficulties in the past with individuals working alone having to cancel at the last minute or frequently rescheduling. We have never had this issue with American Maid. They always call to tell us about what time they will arrive, and are in and out within 1 – 2 hours. Team coach Christina and her team including Jessica and Jessie have consistently cleaned efficiently and thoroughly. They are very reliable. They do a thorough job cleaning and will customize to your needs. Their prices are competitive. They are socially conscious, with monthly fundraiser drives. They have special offers every week but we have not taken them up on these extras. Finally, all the team members have been great with our dog (s)! I would highly recommend them.

Our American Maid crew is awesome. We have been using their services for three years and have been extremely happy. They are flexible about schedule changes and put up with our neurotic dog, which makes them great in our book. 5 Star all the way! I have used their services for more than 10 years. They always do an amazing job! The entire team is wonderful and I have gotten to know them well over the years. They always strive for perfection and if for any reason it is not up to your standard, they will go out of their way to make it RIGHT! In the wide view of things, American Maid do an awesome job. But knowing that I have an unofficial case of OCD and prior military experience, I always look at the finer detail of cleaning. They definitely get the job done to my specifications, but there’s always a minor human error. overall, I do plan on continuing their service, and I know they’ll get better.
