Bark Avenue Pet Grooming

My first experience with this day camp and groomer was awesome. My pit bull puppy was small in comparison to other dogs. The staff was incredibly sweet, made a video and were so understanding with me leaving. A perfect score! The staff, facility and overall maintenance of the building made me feel as tho Kingston was safe! Can’t wait to take him back!

Seemed like a nice enough place (clean, modern) but after picking up my pooch I discovered they must have nicked her with the razor… she had a 1 inch round wound on her belly/​where a nipple USED to be. Poor girl. We won’t be back.

Short and sweet. My dog LOVES the day care and comes home completely exhausted. The staff is awesome and actually remembers him although he doesn’t go daily.
They were good when I called to check on him and advised me of an illness as well which got him to the vet sooner. All around GREAT place for day care!

We LOVE Bark Avenue! My dog is skiddish and doesn’t do well with groomers. In the past, even getting her in the car has been a task. Now that she’s used to the staff and the environment, she does SO much better.
They’re friendly and greet my dog by name. She has the same «doggy stylist» each time, so she’s more comfortable and we always get consistent service.

This place is AWESOME. My dog attends doggie daycare here at least 2 to 3 times a week. She loves loves loves this place. It is such a relief to know that on days that I work extended hours she is getting lots of attention and exercise. It makes for a great drama free evening!!! These gals really love my dog and she loves them. Highly recommend the Doggie Daycare at Bark Avenue!

Hands down, the best cut my dog has ever had. Prices are average, not too expensive, not cheap. The owner/​manager? greeted me and was very chatty and friendly. However, when I picked up my dog, the staff seemed aloof and impersonal. I left a ten dollar tip… perhaps that wasn’t enough? This was the only reason I didn’t give them five stars.

I live in Council Bluffs, Iowa; Bark Avenue is out in West Omaha on 153^rd, therefore, I had to start my day early. I got up at 6 in the morning, got the car ready, put my three large dogs in the car and began my trip. I have two newfoundlands and a large border collie mix, so this was difficult. By the time I was only a few miles away, I get a call from Bark Avenue telling me they needed to cancel, this came less than an hour before my appointment. The reason they had to cancel was that one of their groomers wasn’t in, due to hurting her back, which is acceptable; however, she hurt it the night before, which would have been an ample amount of time to inform me. I specifically took time off of work just to fit this appointment into my busy schedule. The night before, I even received a reminder call from Bark Avenue for my appointment at 8 AM. Due to this, one of my dogs would not have a groomer, which caused them to cancel on all of my dogs. I don’t understand why they couldn’t have placed my dog in the care of another groomer, or at least, take my other two dogs since the absent groomer was only going to work on my border collie. The web site lists many groomers that could have taken my dogs, however, two of the groomers advertised on their site do not groom anymore and instead run the business, but I don’t understand why they couldn’t have made an exception for the sake of customer service, especially with a new customer. It would have been nice to save the hassle, needless to say, I won’t be taking my dogs here.

We take our two dogs there for daycare and for grooming. The staff is so caring and wonderful. They care about each individual pet and know us all by name. Sue truly has a love for animals.
