Wag

Took my pup (who is terrified of groomers) here after hearing of the low stress environment– no kenneling, no waiting. She was ready in just one hour, looked great, and most importantly, she didn’t hide under the couch all day when we got home. Will be back!

What a welcoming space! Located on an adorable strip of Wag, Green Street Cycles, and Muglife Coffee on 25^th and Harney, I was drawn in from the cute signage visible from the street.
Wag does grooming and pet services and also carries some unique and non-​wholesaler brands of food, treats, and dog/​cat accessories. They gave me some samples of food to try with my puppy, which is a first for me at any pet store. I think the owner was sweet and knowledgeable about dogs and their diets. I’ll definitely be back for the unique treats they have and the all natural food. They have brands that you may not be able to find elsewhere and provide alternative ways to feed your pets other than kibble and wet food (I saw this dried meat stuff that you just add hot water??).
If you’re obsessed about your tail wagging friend like me and want to see all the options that are available for him/​her in terms of health and food, certainly check this place out.

Brought my two pups in for a hair appointment and couldn’t be happier. They were cheerful and happy when I picked them up, not fearful at all. The appointments are one on one rather than a room full of dogs getting groomed at the same time. The store was small and quiet but had great pet food options and other items. Defiantly will be a repeat customer!

I took my dog in to buy him a treat. The woman working (I’m not sure if she was the owner or an employee) acted completely disinterested in me or my dog, and seemed like she just wanted us to leave. The store itself is cute, and has a variety of food, treats, toys, clothing, accessories, etc. My dog enjoyed the treats I bought him. Unfortunately, I won’t be back due to the poor service.

This place is great. I first tried them with a Groupon. I have been back 3 or 4 times since then. I trust them with my dog and I am very pleased with the way they cut his hair. I used to go to a big chain store and they kept my dog for hours on end. If I dropped him off at 8 am, he would not be ready for 3 or 4 hours. The grooming was not consistent and he rarely had the same groomers more than twice before they were gone.
At this place he is usually done in an hour or so. He has had the same groomer since he started going to Wag. The owner is very nice and the staff is very friendly and professional. They give me a call when he is just about ready. This is very convenient because I hate for him to be caged up unnecessarily. By the way they keep him up front by the employees when he is done, which I appreciate.
I recommend this place to friends and family. They do have some evening hours which comes in handy. The pricing is consistent with what I was paying at the chain store and the quality is much better.
I have been at the store after 5 pm on weekdays. Sometimes you have to ring the door bell. They keep it locked sometimes and have to buzz you in. I am not sure why one of the reviewers stated it was closed at 5 pm.

Store has some good merchandise and OK staff but finding a time when they’re open is virtually impossible. Why do so many independent retailers in Omaha have such limited hours? Tried twice this week: Monday at 10am and Wednesday at 5:15pm and doors were locked. Won’t bother next time.

I think this is one of the cutest little pet stores I have been to in a while! You first walk in and it feels like you’re in nature with the décor they have at this store. Wag sells many different types of pet foods here for dogs and cats. This is only store I have ever seen carry Wysong pet foods too, as for the longest time I could only find sites that said they only had it in Canada. The other pet foods Wag sells are all natural and not every one of them is carried in a petco.
Wag also sells many different pet toys, pet treats, leashes, and collars too. Not a lot of stuff, though, where you feel overwhelmed and can’t make a decision as to what to buy for your beloved pet!
The ladies that work at this store (I have encountered two) are very friendly and helpful! They are always asking if you’re doing okay or need help finding anything. I would recommend coming here, especially if you live in the neighborhood and have a pet, even just to check it out. They may possibly have what you’ve been looking for!
