Biscuits & Bows

We have been bringing our lab here since he was a puppy and he is almost 13 now. It started out just as grooming but quickly became a once a week visit so that he could play with other dogs for the day. Then they became our dog sitters as well. Karen and Michelle treat our dog like he is one of their own. They love him and is a part of their family. If they couldn’t watch him for us, many of the other groomers would and all of them would take him home to their house each night and love him. SO MUCH BETTER than boarding them in a cold concrete cage like some facilities do. We can’t thank Biscuits and Bows enough for their kindness and love towards our dog. They are the BEST!

Love love love this place! We used to take our family dog here when we were growing up & it was the most logical choice when I adopted a puppy later in life & moved back to the area. They are always so welcoming to me & my pup & know him by name when we come in the door. He is always so happy to go get groomed & just as happy AND a whole lot cleaner & nails clipped when he walks out the door! He loves to play & run around & Biscuits & Bows is always as high energy as he is when we come in! Thanks for being great!

bad attitude bad customer service, work on your people skills… you don’t know how many people have pets and you just pushed them away

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! been taking my pooch here for years now and have 0 regrets. It is a little expensive for a pet grooming service but well worth your money. My dog comes back looking great, shiny and soft with a little bandana tied around her neck. The workers are devoted dog lovers and truly do a great job.

First of all, I went to Biscuits and Bows based on a trusted neighbor’s recommendation. I told them that when I called for the appointment. Keep that in mind.
When I arrived they didn’t want any sort of records indicating my dog had his shots and was up to date on all of them. I should have left at that moment. But, I decided to have him stay and get groomed and then play for the day since I had to go to work. He was there from 9am-​5pm and it only cost me $ 50. That was a great deal (and the one positive about the visit.) His haircut was fine, but I explicitly asked that his eyelashes NOT get cut. I never had them cut and that is a unique aspect of my dog. I did not notice his ONE eyelash was cut (not two, but one — it was bad enough they cut the one, but you would think they would try to even them out or something…) until I was halfway home. It was a 30 minute drive for me.
The next day I called them and was told Donna, his groomer, would take him back to cut the other eyelash. I reminded them that I DID NOT want the eyelashes cut. The man on the phone then told me Donna was busy with another customer. I left my cell number and NEVER received a call back. I emailed Biscuits and Bows on two separate occasions. But, NO ONE HAS EVER RESPONDED TO ME. Needless to say I will not take my dog back there, but it is simply bad business to not even respond to a person who has spent their hard earned dollars for a service they are supposed to provide within my parameters.
I am sad because the price was right and I think my dog had fun during the day care hours he spent there. :(Plus, my neighbor feels bad for recommending I take my dog there since they did not follow my instructions.

There is nothing wrong with biscuit and bows but there is nothing extraordinary. I had a very crazy dog. He loved it. He was always so excited to go in our car because he knew it usually meant bathing time. When we arrived the owner and the staffs are really nice. They take really good care of our dogs.

I bring my not so nice blind dog here. They have always done a good job and are very personable. Even watched him when I was out if town. I Def recommend!

I have been taking my dogs here for over 10 years. My Shih Tzu loves it there. She comes out perfect every time. She is always done on time. She also gets to play with the other dogs. Here groomer Jan is fantastic. She has never had a razor nick from her.

Just moved to Palatine and have been looking for a groomer for my lab/​pit. My needs are pretty limited as I just get her nails clipped and drummled. I have been surprising unsuccessful in finding someone I trust until now. My husband took her in, and said the staff was very friendly and clearly loved animals. They made my dog feel comfortable (as she gets pretty anxious) and one staff member pet my dog while the other cut her nails. I also really like the fact that you can watch your dog get groomed as I have learned from past experience I would never take her somewhere I could not watch what they do. I will definitely go back.

I used to take my shih tzu here until he came home with not one but 2 razor nicks. I might have been ok with it if they had confessed to it, but I had to find the nicks and dried blood on my own. Front desk staff very unfriendly too. Protect your dogs… not here!

This place is great. I have been bringing my Morkie here for about a year now and I’m always pleased with the cut. Prior to this I brought my dog somewhere else (I don’t want to bash any names because they really were nice people) and every time they shaved him. Here I say I want a puppy cut with only half cut off and that’s what I get. They really do love what they do and love animals. The people are always friendly and give a doggie report card when you leave to let you know your dogs behavior and if he needs any additional grooming at home. The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 is because EVERY TIME I bring him here he comes home sick, this time with an upper respiratory infection. Now I know that it’s not their fault, but I really wish they would schedule a specific time to groom rather than a 4 hour time slot to minimize the interaction my dog’s getting with other dogs. I know that sounds kind of anti social but around other dogs he kind of is. I would rather him get his hair cut at a specific time and then pick him up at a specific time. Otherwise, Great!

If you have a Pitbull Do not bring your dog here! They say they are dog lovers, BS!!!

i love biscut and bows, i’ve taken my dogs there and my neighbor recommended them to me, dogs tha i’ve watched for short periods of time love it they are always ready for a n[pa when i get them home.
the staff is very sweet knowledgable and very accomendating… love ‘em!

I’ve been sending my basset hound, Eeyore, to Biscuits and Bows since he was a puppy for the doggie daycare.
I love that they «interviewed» him with one of the owners’ senior dogs, to guage his temperment. He absolutely loves it there. He goes on Tuesdays & Thursdays… and definitely knows what day of the week it is & is bummed & mopes around the house if you don’t take him there on those days.
Sometimes, during the summer, you can sign your dog up for a «field trip» to the (fenced-​in 68 acre!) dog park in Wauconda. We’ve done that 2 – 3 times, and we wish we could just call off work so we can watch him play, roll around in mud and have a good ol time. The grooming can get on the pricey side ($ 40+), so we don’t go there for that often, unless we do the field trips.
For continuous trips for daycare, it’s definitely not cheap. But they do offer daycare packages if you intend to do this several times.
