I began my hunt for my fiancé’s engagement ring at Neil Dahl Jewelers in the Town and Country Shopping Center because they were well rated on Unilocal.The owner of Neil Dahl Jewelers provided the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. When my fiancé asked to look at a 1 carat, 1.5 carat and 2 carat diamonds to get a feel about how large each size is, he would not show us the diamonds and kept asking me how much money are you willing to spend. He refused to help us until I gave him a number and asked us to leave the store. My fiancé thinks his poor behavior toward me and treating me as if I could not afford any ring was because I was dressed in Stanford (my alma mater) sweatpants and a T-​shirt.
Then we went to Arnoldi Jewelers and got the complete opposite, top of the line, service from the owner, Luigi. He spent over 30 minutes going over the different sizes of diamonds and sapphires and showed us numerous rings to give us a good feel of what my fiancé would like. Only, at that point, did he ask our budget. He taught us a lot about diamonds and sapphires, was completely focused on our needs and desires, and was not at all hard sell. It was all about finding what was best for my fiancé. We left the store with a good idea of what we’re looking for and will come back when my fiancé has decided exactly what she wants because we know Luigi will make it happen.

Don’t ever go here for watch repair. Not only are they double the NYC going rate, but if there’s nothing they can do, they charge you $ 20 just to open the back (total time 20 seconds). I’d certainly never consider buying a watch from someone who treats their customers so poorly.

Luigi and Melania are lovely. They are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I have brought about 3 – 4 items in to be fixed over time, and every time, they are prompt, friendly and reasonable. They are a family owned company that is surviving in downtown Palo Alto. I hope they stay here for a long time. I really do! Their selection of jewelry is fantastic. something for everyone, and you WILL be treated as a valued customer, whether you pay $ 20.00 or $ 20,000.

I had two rings resized. Service was professional, prompt. Cheerful experience, no high pressure sales tactics. Next time I want to buy jewelry, I will go there.

The place to visit if you are looking for an engagement ring or wedding band! Luigi is not trying to sell you anything. My fiancé got my engagement ring from him and we went back to chose our wedding bands. Luigi even recommended the smaller diamond ring amongst the ones I was choosing from because he thought it looked better on me. Most other salesmen would have pushed for the more expensive one regardless of whether it suits the person or not. I love coming back to him; he is very friendly and knowledgeable.

I knew as soon as I met Luigi, that I’d be purchasing my long searched for ring setting from him. He is immediately trustworthy, has an incredible eye for jewelry and makes the entire process fun and easy. He has a large and beautiful selection, and skillfully guides you to the perfect piece. Arnoldi’s is the kind of family business that I’m relieved is still around. Have I mentioned the BEAUTIFUL ring I got? I’m a happy girl!
Now that the ring purchase is made… I’m focused on a new pendant. I know who I’ll be buying it from!

Wow, this place is top notch. Went in to get a watch battery replaced, which they did in just one day and even cleaned my watch up for me. It’s nothing fancy, but they treated me and my watch with respect. I went back after that to see if they could modify the setting on my diamond earrings to accommodate screws. The jeweler took the time to look at the earrings with me, clean them up, set me up to look at them in the microscope, gave me an estimate, and then recommended that I think carefully about the change. He pointed out a feather inclusion along the prong area that could present a small, but still possible risk of damage to the stone if exposed to very high heat. He also offered to check the prong backings anytime if I liked — all gratis. It’s obvious that this is a wonderful shop, run by a family that cares about both people and their reputation in the community. They also have a lovely selection of estate jewelry in a range of prices. Highly recommend and I will definitely be coming back here for all of my jewelry needs.

Excellent customer service. About a year ago, Luigi cut my ring off after I had lost the diamond from it. A snooty Menlo Park jeweler had wanted me to pay him $ 150 to do the same thing. Well, good will pays off. I just found the diamond and I’m going back to see Luigi to resize my ring and reset the stone.

Mostly I have had jewelry repaired, or exchanged some, or sold off some. They are head and shoulders above other jewelers and I trust them completely. I know they will spend the time with you to do what you want and it will come out perfectly. It looks like many other customers feel that way too judging by the comments here.

Luigi is wonderful and a real pleasure to deal with.

I brought in my engagement ring to be cleaned and polished before my upcoming wedding. Everyone here are super nice and helpful. A quick cleaning is free but I opted for the resurfacing (having out my platinum ring through some abuse apparently over the last year). Turnaround was quick (next morning) and the ring looks brand new. Highly recommend!

Great service, very knowledgeable. They shortened a bracelet easily, bought some scrap gold and transformed my ring (worn every day for 8.5 yrs) from a scratched mess to nicer than new!

Arnoldi Jewelers was recommended to my by my friend when I was looking for an engagement ring. I had received a Christmas bonus from my work and had been saving up for a while. I wanted this ring to be special and I wanted it to look impressive. I sat down and talked to Luigi about my wife, my family, my job… it felt like I was talking with my uncle the first time I met him! I was ready to buy that day but Luigi cautioned me against rushing into the purchase. I am SO APPRECIATIVE for his advice, knowledge and experience with the jewelry business.
If I would have walked into any mall jewelry store or some other chain with sales people looking for a sucker, I would have been taken for a fool, and I would have probably never know it. Thank God for Luigi and Arnoldi Jewelers for taking the time, giving me the advice and holding my hand through the process. After getting a few key questions answered by my wife-​t-​be, I was able to pick out a diamond and a setting that I was confident she would be dazzled by. I chose to go for quality over size when it came to the diamond, and boy was it worth it. Luigi found me a diamond that is incredible, there are so many colors reflecting off so many surfaces when you really look at it, you can see why I chose it. I picked out a great setting for this near perfect diamond and got the best deal in town. I was able to buy the ring and still have a little money left over, I thought I was going to have to go into debt for a ring this beautiful.
Needless to say we returned later to pick out our wedding bands, simple gold for her and titanium for me. Thank you again for all of your excellent advice and value!

My now-​husband needed a lot of help picking out my engagement ring, so it’s a good thing he went to Arnoldi! Luigi helped guide him to something that didn’t break the break, but made my heart skip a beat when I saw it. NICE diamond, lovely setting!
After the (of course) successful proposal, there was no doubt about where we would go to select our wedding bands. Once again, Luigi was there to help us get what we wanted, comfortably in our price range (plain yellow gold band for me, titanium with details for him). I am a non-​standard ring size, but they got it just right (like Goldilocks). Husband gets lots of compliments on his ring, since it shows his personality without being too out-​there. We love the rings, love the personal attention, and love the prices.

Popped in today to see if they had the exact kind of diamond I wanted. Although they didn’t, Mr. Arnoldi took his time showing us different kinds of stones and his learned opinion on cuts and styles. A really approachable and decent human being — we appreciate his time and advice.

The folks at Arnoldi are so warm, kind hearted and down to earth that you’ll feel instantly and at total ease when you walk in. They are very honest and there is no pitchy talk to upsell you to anything you’re not comfortable with or can’t afford. They really care about helping you pick out the right piece that means something to you. I have been coming here for years to get my wedding set polished and checked, for watch repair, or just to look at the beautiful things they have on display — and they let me linger and ogle for as long as I want with a smile. I have referred friends and family to Arnoldi and all of them tell me they have an awesome experience here.
So, this Valentine’s day, if you are considering buying something nice for your loved one, stop in — even if its just to ask questions. Finding the perfect engagement ring could have been one of the scariest things I have ever done… Until I met Mike at Arnoldi Jewelers. I am turned off by anyone trying to make a sale and get me going. Everyone at Arnoldi Jewelers is down to earth and honest. When I walked out, I not only had the perfect ring that fit into my budget, but I knew exactly what I bought and i DIDN’T have that looming feeling that I had just gotten overcharged or scammed.
