STAY AWAY! I wish I’d seen all the NEGATIVE reviews before experiencing it for myself. When she arrived, I seated her at our dinner table and asked if I could offer her a glass of water. «No thanks, I don’t want to get THE CLAP,» was her response… What?! I thought perhaps she was just trying to be funny, so I decided to let it slide. Then, while she was getting her notary kit set-​up, I excused myself for about 30 – 60 seconds to wrap-​up an email I’d been working on in the next room (just before she’d arrived). When I returned, she asked me to sign her book and provide my thumb print, both of which I did. Then, as if possessed, she suddenly looked me in the eye and asked me to explain what was going on with the «snapping & clapping» in my house. I had no idea what she was talking about, so I guessed perhaps my wife had snapped or clapped to get our kids to go to bed! She didn’t like that explanation and pressed me to explain what was going on, suggesting it had in fact been «thigh slapping». Thigh slapping? What?! Then she said «The great thing about living in a free country is we don’t need to do anything we don’t want to do», or something like that, as she started to close-​up her notary kit. Again, I thought she was kidding, so I asked «Are you serious? This is really weird!» and she replied «Yeah, isn’t it?» as she proceeded to get up to leave (without having provided the notary service). I said, «Please, can we just get this done?», and she said something like «I really don’t want whatever you guys have». What?! Was this about the THE CLAP again?! I have no idea! I’ve never had such a bizarre interaction with anyone. Then, once I read some of the other reviews I can see that my experience shares similarities with several others’. I’d strongly advise people to STAY AWAY.

I am here to add to my fiancé Allisons review of Saskia 04÷04÷16. I knew she didn’t want to service us when she arrived to our residence. She definitely has a problem with interracial relationships. The fact that she drove 45 minutes from Sunnyvale to Menlo park and sat down for 5 minutes before leaving indicated there was a problem right away. We asked her repeatedly why she was leaving without giving us notary signature for my passport copies and she looked at me and said I don’t service bi-​racial couples have a nice night! Great example of racism still existing in the greater peninsula area. I would not support this business moving forward and I would warn others to beware of this strange lady.

This is the most horrible and AKWARDLY WIERD mobile service encounter I have ever received. We called to have two documents notarized. Went on the website and filled out the request and proceeded to wait 1 hour for Saskia’s arrival. After she got to our house she came in and sat down at which time I produced the documents for notary signature. She asked if I was whistling singing a song as she claimed to have heard someone whistling and singing in the house. She then proceeded to look at my fiancé and wish me a good night and packed her things and left with no explanation. She gave me no notary signature or reason for leaving. She simply packed her bag and walked out of the house. I walked after her and asked why she was leaving or what we did to upset her and she ignored me and got into her red Honda and drove away. I will upload the video shortly. By far the most strange and unprofessional encounter I have ever had with door to door service.

.. Friendly??? I don’t think so. This lady was called early in the morning for a urgent and important paper for us. She agreed to meet my wife at her office (one of the largest and more respected California Law Firm in Palo alto, not a sneaky Oakland-​style dark corner…) and I was joining them. At the given time, my wife greeted her in the lobby, but this lady REFUSED to shake my wife’s hand and WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION she just said: «I think you need someone else for the service». I was walking inside when this happened, and I tried, from a respectful distance, in case she felt «threatened» (? I have no tattoes, weird facial hair or some other «stuff») by us to have an explanation. or a reason for her behavior in a very polite way, but in change she took pictures (!!!) of us.
Thx to her inappropriate behavior and horribly low standards, a third person has to suffer serious consequences.
You draw your own conclusions: just ask, if you are really going to use her notary services, if she will actually do her job and if you have to dress up in some special way to have pictures on her mobile phone. Unbelievable!
EDIT (Responding to Business Owner’s Comments): You seem to think my wife and I were pulling a prank on you because we were dressed in our work and transportation gear? My wife is a chef manager at the café where the law firm is, and I had ridden my motorcycle to meet you both there (thus, why I had the motorcycle gear on!) Also, you supposedly assumed we were pulling ‘a prank’ when you could have easily asked us why we were dressed that way… You also could easily asked the receptionist whether my wife worked there or not. Instead, you walked off, assuming we were pulling some kind of prank because of the way were dressed? Then in your comment you suggest that we might have «harassed» you because you were just trying to do immigration control on us?’ …
So it seems you have made two incorrect assumptions about us 1) We aren’t legal citizens, and 2) We were playing a prank on you, and I have been trying to figure out why. Since my wife and I are absolutely legal citizens, I can only assume that you think we are not because of our accents (we are originally from Italy) when we spoke over the phone. With assumption #2, somehow you think because of the way we were dressed – my wife in work clothes and me in motorcycle gear (because that’s how I drove to meet you!)– that we were pranking you?
Please take responsibility for what are your own somewhat crazy assumptions and that perhaps we are the ones who have been harassed because you decided not to do business with us based on our appearances. You also have pictures of us — nobody gave you permission to take them– what are you going to do with those.

I needed a document signed this evening, and Saskia was willing to travel to my location on less than two hours notice after business hours to get it done, for a very reasonable price.
Saskia was very professional and helpful. I highly recommend Oracle Mobile Notary and plan to use them again.

Just received a notary service by Saskia. It was easy to book an appointment and she came within half hour to my place! The entire process took only about 5 – 8 mins! She was quick and efficient! Will definitely use her again and I highly recommend her!

This review is the summary of two encounters with this notary.
The first time, I used her mobile service a few months ago and it was a 5-​star experience; fast, pleasant, and inexpensive. I recommended her to the company HR department which is looking for a new notary.
The second time was just a few minutes ago; I drove to meet her after confirming she was available and identifying myself beforehand, and in the middle of preparing to notarize my document, she simply stated «I think you need to find another notary.» and walked away.
She refused to explain why, and instead said if she’d recognized who I was before agreeing to meet, she wouldn’t have, and that I was now being placed on her ignore list so it couldn’t happen again.
Sadly, after asking repeatedly, I still have no idea what happened.
I could be angry about being ignored and dismissed after making an appointment, but I’m mostly just confused. Did she mistake me for someone else? Was she just having a really bad day?
Time to find a new notary. :/​
Social justice racketeering groups? What?! That clears it up. This is, and was, clearly a case of mistaken identity. I didn’t imply anything (in this review), nor did I «target» anyone (with my patronage). In fact, my profile gives no clue to any groups (ethnic or otherwise) I might belong to, and I didn’t speculate about why my two experiences with this service provider were so dramatically different.
The only «targeting» I’ve done was to intentionally, happily, return to a service provider that had previously provided great service.

My interaction with you was a month ago. I do not understand why you are responding again with derogatory remarks. You were wrong than and you are wrong again.
I am not a public servant. I am a friend of the quadriplegic veteran. You did not deliver a service we requested, one you initially promised to deliver. You continue to be unprofessional. If I were you I would apologize for this incident and move on. You will not improve your business’s image by continuing this conversation.

I called this notary, she told me to go to McDonalds, I got there 15 minutes later, and she wasn’t there. She then didn’t pick up her phone. Very sketchy.

I couldn’t have hoped for anything better. I coordinated with Saskia over phone, asked for her location and showed up with my documents. I received professional services for extraordinary price. I would definitely use her for all my future notary needs as well as refer her to all my friends and family.

Wow, I could not be happier! Saskia drove out to meet me to notarize some paperwork that needed special attention and a quick turn-​around. She was timely, professional and friendly. Highly recommend.

Amazing service!!! A++++++++++!!! If you need to get something notarized, call Saskia right now! Not only did Saskia walk me through some difficult procedures, language and fingerprinting, she also offered to take my papers to FEDEX and ship them for me!!! FOR FREE!!! That’s right!!! Well, I gave her a $ 5 tip and I can’t believe how great a service I just experienced!

Saskia was extremely professional and was able to come over quickly and notarize the documents we needed. Great solution for us since we are in different cities during the day.

I was so grateful and impressed with Saskia Valentine from LightScribe Mobile Notary. She really went the extra mile for us.
I phoned several notaries at around 5:45pm on a Monday night, once realizing that the local notary had closed at 5pm. Saskia was the first to answer and we made arrangements for her to meet my husband and I at home to sign docs at 7pm.
Our docs from the title company were in PDF format, and my husband had printed them on regular sized paper during the day. At around 7:30pm, after talking through everything with Saskia, she insisted on going to Kinko’s with a memory stick of the docs and reprinting them on legal size. She went out of her way to make sure our deal closed seamlessly.
She finally left our house at around 9:30p, but charged the fee she quoted me in the early evening by phone, despite having had to go to extra trouble for us.
She was thoughtful and good humored, as well, despite it being a late night.
We couldn’t recommend her more, and will definitely use her again.

I am an office manager of a law firm in Downtown San Jose and needed a notary in a rush. I called Saskia from Lightscribe Notary and she was very kind. She arrived within 15 minutes of the time I called which was very impressive. If you need professional and quick service for a reasonable price, give Saskia a call she will take care of you.

The woman got quite angry with me when I signed my signature. I used a different signature from my printed name; she just refused to sign my file with no explanation.
