Awful management very rude Marie is the worst rude condescending manager SHERATON hotel has really gone down. This is worst then the Motel 8. Thank God I’m here for one night. This place is a dump.

Don’t stay here

My family and I stayed here for one night after a day at Universal Studios. Overall, our experience was okay. The staff was welcoming, the hotel was dated, but clean (i.e. bathroom was clean, no bed bugs, etc.) We reserved a room with two double beds. It was spacious and even had a balcony. I was able to book the room using a corporate discount so I paid a reasonable rate (well under $ 200) but be advised, parking is $ 18.00 a night (I don’t know if this is pretty standard for the area but I feel it’s priced at the high end). The only real con I found was when we first walked into the hotel from the parking garage, there was an extremely strong smell of bleach wafting through the hallway. Other than that, it’s a decent hotel but if are looking for higher end, you may want to look into other surrounding hotels.

Do not stay there! The place is a scam! The pictures look nice online, but the swimming pool is extremely small, no hot tub, and it’s all covered by shadow from the buildings. The rooms are super small, and they smell like mold. The bed is musty, the mattress smells like a college dorm, and the staff is extremely rude. You are better off going to a hostel.

The location was perfect as it is situated next to the convention center. Friendly staff. I wasn’t happy with my room as my room faced another wall and therefore no view. In addition, I had a suite, but it wasn’t much larger than the regular room.
The hallway could use a facelift. Cables where hanging from the wall/​ceiling.
To pricy for what I got.

And to think that decades ago «Sheraton» stood for some sort of quality. Laughable, isn’t it…
Only booked there to attend convention nearby. Walking distance.
What a mistake.
First the good things:
Almost all members of the staff were attentive, efficient and kind, being the cleaning crew, the valet parking guys, the bar and restaurant staff or the nice ladies at the «Club». Front desk was variable, from super nice to I can’t care less.
The room was ample.
Free WiFi (after short of $ 300 for the room, heck, I think it’s not a great feat of generosity)
The mattresses and pillows were comfortable.
The furniture, light fixtures and carpet were in good condition.
The cleaning crew did a very good job
And that’s all the good things.
Now the bad things:
The rooms are separated from the adjacent ones by doors. I think they are made of paper, because we could hear everything said, word by word, at 6am!
To the other side a family with kids, one of which won’t stop crying, poor thing. And poor us.
My wife went to the bathroom at night and found a full-​blown cockroach, as per photo attached.
We called the front desk, they were very responsive and instantly sent a person to kill/​remove the thing, but my wife was so upset that I ended up killing it myself, and the person just removed the squashed thing.
After that, sleeping, going to the bathroom, or put on clothes involved a sensation of disgust.
Needless to say between the noises and the even remote possibility of a cockroach, we did not sleep very well henceforth.
We asked to be changed to another room, but tough luck, the hotel was full to the brim due to some pop artist or other doing a concert.
After the nice gentleman removed the remains of the cockroach, front desk called to ask if we were ok. Nice gesture, but really, cockroaches???
So we were stuck in that room.
Disgusting, isn’t it?
But wait, the night before checking out we went to the front desk at about 11pm, coming back from a late dinner at Parkway Grill, to ask for a later check out next morning. First, the desk was unattended, then a person came that told us the best they could do was 1pm (instead of 12 noon). Wow, how gracious and generous!
Do you think that ANYONE acknowledged the shortcomings? Or had some little gesture on the bill?

Way to go, Sheraton, spiraling down.

Conveniently close to event of the weekend (vogue knitting LIVE). I like the cotton lounge robe, lights everywhere, go green choice, the ice container (with tongs), mini safe, bottle water. Maria who helped check me in was extremely nice. Everyone was in a good mood for a Friday 13^th (knock on wood). It’s supposed to be drizzley tomorrow, i should just just zzzzz all day & not leave the room. I still have my left over dinner from the hotel restaurant.

I’m not picky. I really am not.
I love gas station coffee. I think the breakfast options at Holiday Inn are cute. I got the manager’s special the past two times I went to Hertz.
I’m also pretty liberal with how I grade places on Unilocal.If you hold your computer sideways, and look to the left of the screen by my profile where it shows my star distribution you’ll see a very nice bell curve to prove this.
So, when I give any lodging establishment two stars– I mean it.
I found hairs in the bathtub.
There was mildew in the shower.
The entire establishment smelled like walgreens perfume.
My room was next to a dishwashing room… On the second floor? Next to the Gym?
Every single appliance and piece of furniture was chipped, peeled or cracked.
What I’m trying to say is that this place is gross.
The people who work here are really friendly, the parking is relatively cheap and it’s close to the convention center but that doesn’t make up for the uncleanliness of the joint.
I think if I was staying at Best Western I’d be able to expect or justify my stay here and give it a little bit of a better rating but it’s a Sheraton and I was expecting a slightly better experience.
If you’re here for work and this is your most convenient option make sure to book through Hotels Tonight or directly through Starwood as the prices are very good.

Let me start off by saying, my husband booked a night for mother’s day weekend. Our dog had to come with us last minute meaning my husband, myself, our 10 year old, twin 2 year olds and our dog would all be staying in one room. My husband called the hotel after booking through priceline and spoke with the manager regarding our situation. The manager was able to work out an upgrade for a small fee and accommodate our large family. When we got there what we did not expect was the largest suite they have, the dog bed, food bowls, doggy bags (for bathroom use), 2 cribs and access to the club. Not to mention the pull out bed for our 10 year old. It was so perfect and made for an amazing trip.
Now, on to the service… it was excellent. Everyone was so courteous and helpful ALL the time. It did not matter that I had to keep calling every 15 minutes to have something brought up, it did not matter that my family was chaotic and all over the place, everyone was nice. The only downside was the valet service… but hey I’m not letting that change my 5 star review. Honestly I could park my own car it was not far from the hotel I just didn’t want to have to deal with it with all my kids. The issue I had was that my car was never brought around when we called in advance and there seemed to be a disconnect with the valet from the rest of the hotel, however as soon as we got to the valet stand and let them know we had called and our car was still not there the immediately got our car and had it to us in less than 2 minutes. I will give the bell desk credit for helping with valet as well and doing their best to make the guest experience as great as possible!
One thing I did notice is there was not a «that’s not my department» mentality. Everyone helped to the best of their ability whether they were front desk, housekeeping, maintenance etc. With the exception of valet but again that seemed like a department and possibly understaffed issue.
My family and I will definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone we know! Thank you again Sheraton, Pasadena for making my Mother’s day weekend a memorable one!

This hotel is located within the Old Pasadena where there are many restaurants and clubs. But my experience was not good because: 1) some of the elevators was not working, so there’s a long wait; 2) air condition is loud and not not getting cold, 3) toilet was clogged and 4) parking ticket costs $ 18 overnight even if I’m an SPG member. Inside the room, there are stairs leading to the toilet. Experience was not great.

Nice front desk staff. Very food house keeping staff, as I was using the gym and housekeeping was cleaning the gym from head to to tow… changing garbage, mopping and even dusting. in a fitness center! Great water pressure in the shower head, and good heat. My only issue is that, the hotel rooms seem very outdated. Not attractive room furnishings.

This is a decent hotel — an excellent & convenient choice if you are attending an event at the convention center which is located literally a couple steps away.
The rooms are small but clean and in good shape except for the ridiculously fugly popcorn ceilings. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was great and the usual amenities are to be found in the bathroom. Fridge and coffee maker are in the main room and an ironing board and iron in the closet. I had no issues with noise from neighboring rooms or the hallway but the in-​room air conditioning unit is rather loud; I had to turn it off overnight.
Staff were friendly. They have a small store next to registration where they sell snacks, beverages and touristy stuff. I stopped in to get bottles of water, an energy bar and an apple. Prices were a bit inflated as expected.
Parking is located underground and shares the space with the convention center. 3 elevators are located in the garage to take you to the Sheraton lobby. Valet parking is also available if you go to the main entrance.

Not satisfied at all! I went from a pretty nice looking lobby up to the second floor where my room was and I was immediately surprised! Surprised in how run down this hotel was! Smelly hallway, popcorn ceilings, cable wires everywhere … and I still gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt. I walked in to our room, which was roomy, However it was not what I expected! Not for a «Sheraton» hotel. The pictures online look nothing like the real deal! Well anyhow, I didn’t think I would be writing this review because I’m not the type of person to complain, complain, complain, but future guests need to know what to expect! Expect to hear everyone and everything through the walls and expect an outdated run down hotel! No complains with staff, they were all very polite and the maintenance of this hotel is out of their control!

I’ll have to say this is a pretty good hotel. The staff if pretty friendly and helpful.
The in house restaurant has some good food as well.
The area that it is in is great walking distance to just about any kind of food or drink you want.

Well folks, this hotel gets two stars because of its primo location next to the convention hall and civic auditorium. It’s old not in the historic sense that appeals to the claw-​foot tub set, but only because it is shopworn and neglected. The halls are dreary. In this era of drought the toilets are the old high volume type although the long hedge outside our room was dead, so they’re not wasting water there. At times we saw long lines at the skimpily staffed registration desk as if they didn’t expect anyone to come. It is inexplicable that you are only allowed two instruments to log onto the wifi and they have to re-​log in every day. I will say, though, that the TV quality is excellent. Since parking is shared with the Civic Center there is plenty of it. Self-​park is $ 18 per day but, after all, this is LA.

Enjoyable stay in this clean, quiet hotel. I appreciated the walking distances to interesting shops, coffee joints and restaurants.
The staff was friendly and professional. The restaurants housed within this hotel look and feel dated. We passed on that option because there are excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.
We appreciated the parking garage under the hotel – it was clean, had good air flow and was almost totally free of that creepy underground garage feel. Three cheers for that.
The outside pool, patio, garden area was lovely and relaxing. We enjoyed our morning coffee there, but it would have been an equally beautiful space to debrief the day as well.
It’s unfortunate that there’s no service elevator for the linens – sharing the space with the laundry was awkward and crowded on a few trips to and from our room. If that bothers you, take note and try the Hilton instead. It wasn’t a big deal to us.

Nice, older hotel that sort of feels like a cruise ship (long, narrow building). Decent lobby that was well decorated and very nice and helpful staff.
Medium sized room with fridge, coffee maker, teas, free bottles of water, no microwave. Nice marble shower but the bathroom was sort of small. Decent water pressure and nice beds.
Medium sized workout room was very nice. Heated pool, as observed by the steam rising, but I didn’t get in.
Their burger and fries from the bar were excellent. Great bread, thick burger, perfectly cooked fries, fresh garnish.
This hotel is close to many restaurants and shops in Pasadena.
No outlet near bed for phones/​CPAP.
They offer citrus water, but not late at night. I guess people up late don’t get thirsty.

Location is great. Guest services accommodating.
But as a first time in a Starwood Sheraton and a preferred guest, disappointed. Our room smelled like a cologne box, there was beer cans outside our patio (but it was a common patio with another room maybe is reason), and upon leaving found a sock under the edge of the bed that belonged to no one in our party.

Me searching for earthquake map:“But there is no earthquake on the map… wtf…“

Then we heard this loud moaning… OMG… WTF… The neighbors next door humping like hamsters until our bed is shaking .
D*mn you, Sheraton Hotel!
The check in time is around ¾pm, we were there at 5:00pm.
«I’m sorry, but the room is not ready, you have to wait for an hour, there was an airplane delay, but we can give you coupons for one drink and you can wait in the bar»
What does a plane delay have anything to do with me? I’ve been walking all day long in the convention and I’m pretty exhausted, just give me the d*mn room.
6:30pm The reception finally gave us our room.
The hotel is super convenient because it’s right behind the convention. Other than that? With a thin wall like the motels you saw/​hear in the «80’s movies, confusion parking lot entrance, a loud humming ventilation close to the bed and a super soft bed that doesn’t have support? No thanks

This hotel is expensive because of its location, but the condition of the hotel is in shambles. Exposed wiring running the entire length of the hallways, popcorn covered ceilings, frayed and faded carpets, stained and torn leather chairs in the lobby, poorly lit walkways, dusty tables, etc.
During the specialized bar exam, rates went over $ 300 a night, and though the rooms are large and well appointed, everything is just sort of run down and the bathrooms are tiny. Sinks are hardly large enough to sit a towel and a cup.
If you have to stay here and want everything within walking distance, then enjoy the convenience and swallow the price.

I only booked here because the Westin was full for the night. I was very disappointed.
At first, checkin was a disappointment. He asked for my id and then gave me my rooms keys and walked away. He didn’t say anything to me. At Least he could have given me the wifi password so I could have looked online to see when check out was or where I could have parked. I had to catch him before he walked away from the desk to ask when check out was. On my way to my room I saw tacky tape in the hallway that was unflattering. I got into the shower and the water didn’t go down. I was trying to hurry through my shower in order to get out of the water I was standing in.
I paid $ 200 to stay here and probably would have been more satisfied staying at a motel 6 paying half that.
It is located in a great spot, so 1 star.
