Alpha Medical Massage & Rehabilitation

This is the first time I’ve ever did a review on Unilocal but I just had to. I was looking for a place that could relieve me of pain. I’ve tried every massage clinic out there from massage envy, massage heights, oak haven, and many others. I was looking trough some Unilocal reviews and was a little skeptical after seeing some not so good reviews on this place. So I rolled the dice and booked an apointment there any way. What can say? This place rocked! Scot the head therapist and owner was very kind to me and fixed my body when no one else even came close! He was very thorough in educating me on how to do these exercises to help me with my many back problems. Wow for 49.00 membership program I was hooked! From today on I will exclusively go to this place and this place alone. Thank you so much scot!

Last minute cancellations are a trend for this owner. As a client he clearly states you must give a minimal 24hr noticed to not be charged, yet he didn’t even give me 1hr. I bought a Groupon after verifying they had same day appointments available. I am currently in physical therapy and in a lot of pain so this would have been great! He had numerous excuses such as I have a migraine, my phones are being worked on, my internet is down, I can’t check customers out… I completely understand things happen, but to give me less than hour notice and to have a hand full of excuses makes me call BS on this one. I get migraines, but I find it odd that you start scrabbling for more excuses when I’m do not immediately respond to rescheduling for tomorrow. In looking at other reviews I shouldn’t be surprised. Very disappointed in this business and its owner!

This isn’t the place for a «relaxation» massage. If you need physical therapy or are having muscle movement issues, this definitely is the place to go! My leg pain was keeping me awake at night, and the compensating that my other muscles were unconsciously doing were hurting my knees. Scott found the spots that were causing the trouble and worked them out, including where I had a buildup of scar tissue. Amazing! I’m 54, and I felt 10 years younger when I left. Definitely recommend!

I would love to comment on how the massage went, however my appointment was cancelled at the last minute by the owner himself. I’m very disappointed both in the lack of updates address on the website and groupon (which caused some confusion after receiving a different address in the confirmation email) and the last minute cancellation. I showed up to the appointment 30 mins early to fill out paperwork, and as I was waiting Scott called with an excuse about a flat tire. If that is the case, it’s unfortunate for him, but some more notice would’ve been nice, especially considering it was at his request that I arrived early to my appointment.

I purchased a 90 minute massage. I was 5 minutes late and ended up getting a 60 minute massage time wise bc Scott was busy talking away on the phone for a long while before he came in. I have never waited so long on a table before a therapist came in. He insisted after the massage was over that he comes in 5 minutes after I go in. Well why don’t you tell me that beforehand bc I was ready in 3 minutes and I would have let you know I was ready instead of waiting for another 12 minutes for him to come in. THEN to make matters worse, Scott is falling asleep off and on the whole time during my massage. Now Scott is well trained and when he is awake and actually putting some effort in, he is very good. But not only does he not want to put in maximum effort for the full 60 or 90 minutes, he suffers from sleep apnea (per his disclosure to me) and so he is falling asleep in the dimly lit room. Scott has learned to mask it as well as he can, but I could feel him nod off and when I would turn around his eyes were shut and he was slumped over. I would either jerk my leg, cough loudly, say something to him, or move my body and I would feel him regain wakefulness and start massaging again. So here I get ripped off bc he’s sleeping half the time I’m in there. I hate to have to put this out there. I know he really wants to help, but I didn’t even get a full body massage and I booked and paid for 90 minutes. That’s just not right. And I have been in 2 car accidents, had 5 back surgeries and 2 knee surgeries and told him in advance how difficult it would be to get through my body, but he assured me it would be no problem. Well, it was a few problems. I cannot in good faith reccomend Scott until he at least gets the sleep apnea under control and is able to stand up and stay awake for the entire massage.

Scott provided the best lymphatic massage I’ve ever had. Sometimes it seems like treatments get cut a bit short. I am sending my bf there. They know what they are doing.

I highly recommend Brad. I have had massages at many different facilities, and with Brad you are getting someone who is very knowledgable. He takes an interest in your condition and strives to ease your pain while helping to diagnose the source of the pain. He is very passionate about the service he provides.

My Husband and I have been going to see Brad for over a year now. I cant tell you how impressed we have been with his services. He has knowledge of how the body works and how to release tightness. He listens to you and works to find the root of the problem.
We go to Brad because we are looking for relief of the stress and strain my Husband and I put our bodies though. I would not recommend Brad if you wanted a soft zen massage. However for as had as he has worked on our bodies we have never left his office hurting. Oh don’t get me wrong while we there it is not blissful, but Brad does not bruise or cause soreness after no matter how much it hurt while you were there. I have been to deep tissue massages where I was very sore after. (I don’t think they were doing it right)
Anyways I hope I have provided enough information. Remember Brad is who we have been seeing and think he is outstanding.
I don’t think they are over priced you don’t have to have the Groupon to get the discount just ask for the Groupon rate.

Kind of disappointed.
Received the massage a few days ago and had been meaning to write this review.
I went in and saw a female therapist (won’t mention names!!)…I was running a few mins late which I called and informed them and they answered saying it was fine. When I got there, everything was perfect… massage was amazing… I get a lot of massages, averaging once every 3 weeks, I had to find a new place since my therapist is now on maternal leave.
I’m used to a calming relaxing environment but my therapist kept making conversation (which I was not interested in but didn’t wanna cut her off being rude)…I just wanted some peace!
Anyways like I said, the massage was exceptionally good, but she stopped the massage 20 mins early saying my time was over… uhhhh I had called earlier to mention I was running late, they told me it was okay since they didn’t have another appointment after me… then why was I cut off in 40 mins instead of the 60mins I paid for??? So I decided that was fine since the massage wAs so good but I was a little upset so decided not to leave a tip… at check out the therapist asked me for gratuity!!! What the hell??? It clearly said there we don’t expect gratuity but if you are happy with the service you can always offer a gift… well I wasn’t but I still left her a tip cuz she asked for it. I just thought that was a little unprofessional.
Overall the massage was super amazing but the overall experience kinda sucked

I went in for a 90 minute massage with a groupon deal and couldn’t have been happier. I saw Scot, and he was so knowledgeable regarding my issues and did such a great job of working on my problem areas. Never before have I had such lasting relief from a massage I can’t wait to go back. I really feel like this place can help me!

Scotty was rude to you because they are processing as many groupons as possible to see how many new memberships they can get. I was really looking forward to my massage as well, until it started 15 minutes late because he was busy closing the deal with the previous new client (I could hear everything), ended me 5 min early (this is out of a 60 min massage – I completely expect it to actually be a 50 min massage), massaged areas I specifically said not to, told me about his health problems, and of course gave me the sales pitch after I was out of the room. They allow 30 min between massages so I really was not happy with my experience. Perhaps everyone shouldn’t book with the owner for a while, and at least the membership push will be lighter. Sadly I’d been considering joining until this!

Barbara was excellent! I came in for a 90-​minute medical massage Groupon deal and had a great experience. Barbara is very conversational, sometimes sarcastic, and often humorous — this conversational tone really allowed my body to relax. She also seems to genuinely care about improving the condition of her patients. The massage itself was very thorough, working on all body parts, with additional attention paid to problem areas. This was definitely one of my best massage experiences I’ve had, owing to Barbara’s personality and also the high quality of the massage.

Scotty Trahan was very rude to me when I walked in. I just wanted to hear some details but he was apparently in busy season and said «could I sit while he found someone to help me» needless to say. I grabbed a card and walked out.

I am a runner, I have gotten many massages, but Scott really wanted to help me! I had several issues he brought up and worked them out, and gave me stretches to do! Awesome!

I think I’m addicted! I started going to Alpha Massage about a month ago. Scot has helped the lymphedema in my legs and Natanhna has worked miracles on my feet! I’m so glad to have a membership so I can keep coming back! My feet have some serious issues and Nat makes them feel so much better! I definitely recommend this place!

Great job, Scot and Joseph! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our massages. They were probably the best massages that we have ever had. I especially liked that Joseph would ask me if the pressure was correct. They also have very flexible weekend hours.

I had my first massage here and it was awesome! Brad was great and made me feel very comfortable the entire time. He was very knowledgeable and really knew what he was doing. I feel better already and look forward to seeing them again!

Deep tissue massages are what I need and Scot does a great job! I also love that they are open 7 days a week which provides a lot of flexibility with scheduling. So I signed up as a member. It’s worth every penny!
